Home warranty was an option but you know you always get scheduled with the worst of the worst, and they couldn't schedule me in for a few days.. I checked up some reviews on Yelp and HVAC Guys showed up as the only 5 star reviewed provider. Curious I checked other platforms and all had glowing reviews, so I messaged the business on Yelp, and got a response almost immediately. It took me a bit to respond to him, given the chaotic household on a Saturday evening but I was made aware that there is an emergency service fee and the repair charges to fix! Rohan was on his way around 7pm! Rohan has a good demeanor and very personable. He got to work immediately and diagnosed the problem (capacitor). Within 20 mins I had my HVAC working again. He gave him quite a few pieces of relevant information about my HVAC and even cleaned the coils outside to make sure everything was tip top! The total charge was reasonable - please don't compare these with DIY costs as HVACs need some level of knowledge and expertise. They accept all forms of payment but Venmo/Zelle make it super easy to pay for the services. Highly recommended. They also offer maintenance, which is top on my list prior to me turning my heat on.

We initially reached out because of the great Yelp reviews, and Yelp helped us out big time here! We called to help with our heater, and the owner Rohan provided an extra mile in service that I did not expect. He went above and beyond, not only helping with our issue, but guaranteeing that we got a fair price when he couldn't make it out in time and had to use another HVAC company. We will absolutely come back to HVAC Guyz & Plumbing for all of our needs. Rohan is a truly kind and helpful person, and that is all you can ask for when you need help. Thank you so much. Hope you and your team have a wonderful holiday this year. Give these guys a call if you need anything, as this 5 star Yelp reputation is extremely well deserved.

I am no plumber, but these folks are, and they were gracious with their time, and explained it all, and provide options, pros vs cons, best practices, and did not once pressure me to make a decision. Mark, Eddy, and Mike did a superb job. They had no bias, and gave me all the facts and options to make my own decision. At the end of the day, I feel like I can trust them. Real pros. Arrived when they said they would, did what they promise and even more. Fantastic experience. If you want a plumber you can trust.. look no further.

I requested TE to come out and diagnose why an existing circuit was not getting power. Instead of…read morejust fixing the circuit, I agreed to a new panel for my house since it was 60 years old. The price I was quoted was over 12k. I felt the electrician on my job, Jason S. was very high pressure in his tactics and told me I needed to decide that day, or lose potential discounts. I had also been without a kitchen for over 30 days, so I agreed to the work. The next day Jason and an apprentice come out to start the job. They take one whole day to remove and replace the new panel, no problem. Here is where it goes downhill. On the second day of work, Jason and another apprentice came out and instead of prioritizing the circuit I hired him for, they start installing the hardwired smoke detectors Dekalb county allegedly requires. This took all day! By about 4 pm, I asked if he was going to get the outlet done so I could use my dishwasher and he replied "I guess if I stay here all night". I said I guess thats what you got to do then, and they were here til nearly 8 pm. Then he made several other unprofessional comments about staying late. Jason never came back to my job. A new Electrician came out on Monday, Jason said he had an emergency job. The part where they earned this rating comes when I found out my pool motor circuit was not working on the new GFCI circuit. I explained to them it originally was on a two pole circuit and now they had it on two single poles. It was drawing 240v and they had the model number and should have researched the wiring on their own as professionals. Rather than listen to me, I had to wait all day for the new electrician (with Jason on the phone) come up with a new quote to fix which included trenching up and re-wiring my entire pool, ANOTHER 5 THOUSAND DOLLARS! I was livid. I started looking into this and it turns out I was right, it just needed a 2 pole GFCI. I talked to the second electrician the next day and told him I want to talk to a supervisor or manager. I got a call later in the day from Jeffrey who was going to look into it and get back to me the same day. He did not. He did call me the next morning and agreed to send one of his best guys out to install a 2 pole and see if that solves the problem. Well guess what, it did! And, I didn't have to pay another 5K. I expected to hear back from Jeffrey again to ensure the job was to my satisfaction as you should on a service recovery. I did not. I feel lied to, and that I was robbed and almost taken needlessly for thousands more, had I not done my research which should not be necessary as a layperson. I understand from TE employees the Electricians control the cost, and they get a commission from it. Unfortunately, I paid for an electricians summer vacation because I trusted him. Luis L and Nathan the electricians at TE, thank you! Micah, Gavin, Phillip the apprentices, thank you too! Jeffrey I thank you for doing the minimum by ensuring what I paid for was completed. Jason, no thank you at all. You've sowed distrust in professionals and your industry with your practices.

Normally they do a…read morebasic block calculation or a more detailed calculation to determine the size of compressor needed for the size of your house. Sounds pretty basic right? Not to these folks! In the process of installing they caused a major leak (drain stopped before pan) in my ceiling. Now I am stuck with an underpowered unit that is not able to cool my house. Instead of a 3 ton unit they needed to install a 4 ton unit, and refuse to change it. So word of caution to anyone using their services. Make them calculate the size of the house first.

Please reconsider if you are looking at this company. I had an horrific experience with them that…read moreis too long to even try to explain, and it went on for about 3 months, with numerous visits. The long and short of it is that they sent out two clearly incompetent people, who fixed everything but what was needed on my washing machine, including taking out the better motor I had for a better machine than the one I ended up with. Everything they did was wrong, and cost me my machine. They reimbursed me for what I'd spent after all the hell, but they came and took their parts out of my machine, and their reimbursement was just enough to buy a much more cheaply made machine - not one the quality of my original. My old one was toast! Then about 2 months later, the new one did exactly the same thing I called Lanny Adams for and as it turned out according to the new company I called, there was lent somewhere down the line that had Lanny Adams known what they were doing, they would have fixed the old machine the first time. Plus the office workers are all nice, but they defer to the owner on everything, and he micro-managers grown people like their are children, and talks to you like he's reprimanding you like a crusty old grandfather -- while being dead wrong! Amazing. They might have been good at one time, but I've never experienced such an unnecessary nightmare. In addition to all the times I had to be home for the service calls, they would still only give a time range of about 4 hours, and not a definite time. It is all about them, and they pretend to be about you. Bad, bad news and not worth the headache. If you want to gamble that you'll get a horror show, they Lanny Adams!

As a Disabled Veteran, living on a fixed income, I had four (4) bids for repair and replacement of my HVAC. BLOW evaluated the system and sourced an updated and more efficient system. I put a deposit down and was informed that they are available for installation on the following business day. They arrived at 9:30 am and finished installation by noon. They evaluated the output temperature of each vent throughout the house. The flow was balanced, and the comfort level is better than it had ever been since 2008 when I bought the house. I had a large HVAC company complete yearly system maintenance that had NEVER balanced the system NOR. Inform me on how cleaning the coils could boost the lifespan and performance of the system. They spent a lot of time selling the idea for an upgrade to a dual zone system. Their estimates were DOUBLE what BLOW charged. I want to name the company, but I don't believe that this is the right platform. I would tell ALL of my friends and family to choose BLOW Heating and Air whenever HVAC maintenance is needed.

He came out, same day, and immediately installed a new thermostat while giving me great advice about the cost vs. benefit of repairing my old unit (had a leak) or getting a new one. Later that day, he provided a really affordable quote (more than $1500 cheaper than competitors) to replace my entire AC, coil and furnace. Not only that, when my travel plans prevented us from scheduling an appointment later in the week, he rearranged his schedule so he could come out the next day and complete the new installation. Derek and his team wore foot coverings and masks so I felt completely safe given covid and it helped keep my place as clean as possible. They were super kind and respectful. They worked for 7 hours due to some logistical issues in my home and ended up breaking down my old unit entirely. He disposed of everything, even a few random pipes I had laying around. He took the time to show me a few things about my new system and give me tips to keep it functioning well. I was excited to find out that HVAC is only one of the things that Blow specializes in. I will be contacting him for a quote to repaint my condo! If you're looking for a contractor, definitely reach out to Derek & crew! And thank you so much for all of your help!!!

Unfortunately, they did not…read morestand the test of time and I definitely would not recommend Maintenance Unlimited to anyone. The good news is that I suffered the headache others can avoid :) First, the prior work done was not completed and I was hoping they would come back to finish the project properly so that all the systems installed or modified can function correctly. They didn't show up after 2 months of scheduling and constant rescheduling of appointments. All the folks (Darrell & Pam) I mentioned in the previous review turned out to be unreliable - excuse upon excuse. I eventually gave up and found another provider to fix up all their mess and wrap up the project correctly. Second, there were several competency issues with the duct work done. A few examples are: 1) should the supply from an ERV that outputs 200 CFM be connected to the plenum of an HVAV that outputs 2000 CFM? A pro should know that the HVAC will win and blow air back into the ERV. 2) Similarly, should the supply from a Dehumidifier that blows ~100 CFM be connected to the same HVAC plenum? These are seemingly basic air flow considerations any HVAC pro should know. 3) They put only 2 returns (14in and 10in flex ducts) on a 2000 CFM HVAC. I'm not an HVAC pro but even I knew this was not enough return. I had to point out to Darrell to use a duct sizing calculator to figure out how much return was still missing. 4) They couldn't wire my thermostat (Nest - latest gen) to the dehumidifier (Aprilaire E080) correctly too. So many red flags... Third, as a last resort, I called the office to ask to speak to a manager/supervisor. It seems that office rep is pre-programmed to state someone will call back "at their earliest convenience" with an unpleasant attitude to boot. After more than 3 weeks, no call back. Overall, my experience started well but crashed badly. Life is about lessons and even better when you can learn from others' failures. This was a nightmare over a 5 month period and I hope nobody experiences this with them again.
