My window on my driver side got busted from a cling car shade I got from Amazon that I forgot to remove when I rolled my window down and it got jammed and messed up the window regulator. My hubby dropped off my car Monday night after hours, the next day Danny called us and gave us an estimate and said that he has to get the part for us which would take a day. He got the part in the next day and my car was ready that same day. We are very happy with them. I really hope they stay at this location for a very long time.

They referred me to Direct Drive Diagnostics and when I got there, Thomas literally stopped what he was working on to assist me. This is arguably one of the best mechanic experiences I've ever had. Lisa the office Manager was a sweetheart and Thomas and his partner were able to assess what was wrong, and get my car up in running in roughly under 40 minutes. I, like many of you who are reading this review right now, have been searching for what we have…read moredeemed "The Holy Grail" of mechanics, someone we can trust, someone who has the skills and knowledge needed, and even more importantly, someone who will not overcharge and take advantage of us like almost every other mechanic I have ever encountered throughout my life. I have a 1994 Ford F-150 show truck and I needed new front brakes (pads and rotors) and I needed to have the rear differential gasket replaced as it started leaking and finally, I needed to have my third brake light socket replaced. I took it to the"popular" auto repair shop in Colonia, the father and son one. They quoted me $2019 for all three jobs which included all parts, labor, and taxes. I thought that was ABSURD! I went one block down the road, to Lu Auto LLC on Inman Avenue in Colonia, NJ and asked him what he would charge me for the brakes and the rear differential gasket. He came out to look at my truck, knew exactly what he was talking about, told me that he would be using premium parts and all but guaranteed he would do an amazing job. There was something about his manner and shop that made me instantaneously trust him and I made the appointment for the following Monday. I dropped it off at 9:00 AM and he told me that he would have it ready by 12:30 PM. Later that afternoon, he texted me that my truck was ready and I went to pick it up. The truck was still spotless as one of my greatest fears in dropping any of my cars off to auto repair shops is that they always seem to come back with a new scratch somewhere or a grease stain in the cabin- not this shop though! The repairs were all done, he even changed the differential oil for me. The bill for everything was only $700! He didn't even charge me for fixing the third brake light socket as it was a simple job for him that only took him a couple of minutes. Can you imagine the shop one block away wanted to charge me $1300 MORE than Lu's shop and they would have used the exact same parts as Lu's (this is a common excuse by expensive auto repair shops, claiming how they have to charge more because they only use "premium" parts.) When it comes to auto repair shops, I am not a price shopper, I am a trust shopper and I KNOW that I have found my shop now. I wrote this long story to help all of the people out there who are just like me and are searching for that trust-worthy mechanic, all to no avail. Well, he's been found and he is at 162 Inman Avenue in Colonia, NJ.

I live in the area and pass by this place all the time so I figured I would give it a shot. I called and spoke to Kevin who was such a great guy. Very nice. Usually mechanics come off as abrupt but not him. I told him what I needed he said bring the car in and he will take a look. He had the car for about an hour then called me to tell me the front brakes were bad but thank god they didn't cut into the rotors. He said the front tire could use a plug but he'd rather patch it because it will last longer. And of course the wiper blades which I already knew. Kevin also checked the rear brakes and told me they were ok. Now I have had several experiences being a woman where men mechanics tried to take advantage of me because I am a woman. Back in the day I used to repair my own cars (starters, carburetors, alternators etc) but since technology has taken over and everything needs to be done with computers I no longer fix my own cars. I certainly could have replaced the brake pads myself but I just didn't feel like it. So I took the car to Kevin and had him do everything. I only mention that I used to repair my own cars just to show I do know when I'm being "taken for a ride". Now Kevin could have easily seen me as a woman and could have totally tried to take advantage of the fact most women do not know about cars and just take the mechanics word for the diagnosis. Kevin did not!! He told me my rear brakes were fine. I didn't even ask him to check them. He did that as a courtesy at no charge to me!! I did not tell him my knowledge about cars until mine was fixed. Kevin and his brother are 100% HONEST businessmen!!! They are not out to rip people off. They only repair what needs to be repaired and you CANNOT beat the price and how quickly the work was completed!!! All that work (parts & labor) for under $300, and he only had the car for approximately 4 hours. So whenever I need any work done they will be the only ones to repair my cars!! I took a few business cards as I always do when I'm satisfied with the service I was provided from a business and I keep them in my wallet. About a week after my car was repaired my mom who also has a Hyundai brought her car to them and she was also 100% satisfied. Just yesterday I was at the WaWa putting air in all my tires and I was speaking to the gentleman waiting and he mentioned he had a slow leak in his tire. This was about 3:30pm so I told him to go over and see Kevin. I didn't have the card because I gave them all out but I told him where they were since he is from the area as well and knew just where to go. This is an A++++++ business and I will continue to recommend Kevin to all my friends, family and even strangers who are having car trouble. Keep up the great work and your HONEST business practice. You definitely have me as a customer as long as Yous are in business. Again if you are looking for a mechanic that is A. Kind, B. Honest and C. Extremely fair with his pricing then this is the shop for you!!!!
