First and last time going to this shop…read more After an uneventful day of searching for a shop to do a simple brake and rotor change I found this shop. Unfortunately after being charged nearly $400 they still did not do the job properly. The car felt slower after leaving the shop and after close inspection the brakes werent seated properly and the brakes were constantly applying pressure to the rotors. After taking the brakes off I also found that they put one half of the brakes on the wrong side of the car. On top of that they didnt even use the brake grease that comes with the parts. Complete and utter negligence on their part and their mechanics are completely incompetent. Save your money and find a trustworthy mechanic. An oversight like this would cause my brake and rotor to wear abnormally faster than what it should. This could also be extremely dangerous when the customer is driving on the highway and the brakes lock up. Oh and waiting for 3 hours and being charges extra because they had to get "special" brakes for my car.

Suggested replacing them at a convenient time during the next few months, as brake pads were fine. Compared to the relentless upselling I've experienced at Jaguar dealer repair shops, Dan's honesty was a breath of fresh air. He could easily have indicated the necessity for new brake pads and instead honestly recommended a far less expensive sensor replacement. Dan is my go-to Jaguar repair guy going forward.

I noticed my front wheel was a lot closer to the track then the back tire, I watched as it went through and seemed find up till the last part. It hit the metal rack and scratched my mirror and folded it in. I spoke with the manager who told me oh well not our problem. I asked for the owner who he stated wasn't there. I will be going back on Monday. I only asked them to make it right. Some of the stretch could be compounded out but unfortunately the metal on the mirror will need to be replaced. Again I was told too bad not one else complains. Customer service is horrible and I will not use these guys again. I moved to Elizabeth last year for work & drove my car across the US to do so. Recently I got a flat tire, but was able to refill with air & drive to Pep Boys. Got an oil change & had them "patch the tire" which ended up not working. For months I drove on a semi-flat tire having to put four quarters into a gas station air pump & refill every few days. I eventually bit the bullet & went back to Pep Boys to have my tire replaced. Long story short, my car is AWD & to replace one tire you have to replace all four. I got quoted $850 by the most schemey salesman I've ever had the displeasure of working with. I decided to wait because the price & environment just didn't feel right. A couple months later, my poor tire wouldn't fill with air anymore... I felt hopeless. I don't speak "car", it's just not my thing. Hand me an iPhone or Mac & I got you covered, I could talk on it all day. Googled a couple local spots & stumbled upon D & D Car Care because of the awesome reviews. Thank GOD. Called them up, spoke to Derrick, & drove my car, flat as hell, up to the shop. I told Derrick what the situation was, that I had tried to put on my donut & couldn't get the bolts off. With no hesitation & about 5 minutes time Derrick had my tire swapped with the donut. We talked tires for a moment & he suggested a discounted tire shop a little ways away & his honest opinion on what he would do in my situation. I asked if he could do the job & he said yes but his tires might be a little more expensive but he'd do his best to match the price of the specialty tire shop he had suggested. I didn't even want to bother entertaining other opportunities, I just wanted this almost year-long flat tire saga over with! Derrick got back with me the next day & quoted me a price HALF of what Pep Boys tried to sell me on. The rest is history, I said "Yes" & had my car back on the road, good as new, a couple days later!
