They gave me all the info about their full package installation rates and the pros and cons to paying a bit more for their team to install vs go and find my own installer. Approachable! Saul is really personable and down to earth, and he hires really good people. The guy that came to do our floors came in time, was SUPER quick, and did a clean install of my carpet and laminate. Also, the price was affordable AND the materials we bought were high quality. Saul spent a lot of time with me and worked with me on what I wanted and what he could do. Be prepared to spend a few hours in the consulting process because it's just him that handles the sales and administration duties all by himself so you may have to wait a little. He also does not take credit cards so be prepared with your checkbook. So, naturally, I went to Yelp to find the highest rated carpet stores in Hayward. Surprisingly, Quality Floor Covering was not on the list! I had to be referred to this place by a friend. I'm so glad because out of the 4 companies I looked into Quality had the best price by far! I mean like I saved $1000 on a whole house of carpet!. Saul is honest and takes pride in his store and their skills. I think he genuinely loves carpet. He also gives you the inside scoop to how to keep your carpet warranty up and not void it. My husband met with his brother to do the measurement and he was really impressed by the details he went into about where each carpet would be cut, how the pieces would be met, etc. The other guys that came to do the measurement didn't go into the specifications. As for the quotes, I like the straight answer. I want to know how much my cost will be at the end of the project. I don't like hearing, "it costs x" ... and then realize its another $$$ for the labor, tax, padding, etc. I mean really? I have to pay for all those anyway so throw that in the quote, right?
