Rooms are primitive. Floor in room looks like it's never been mopped. Sticky and filthy. Food at "complimentary breakfast" awful. Coffee so weak it was see through. Pool area disgusting. Cigarette butts all around pool. Filthy ground. No towels, garbage overflowing on pool deck. People smoking weed at the pool. Staff laughed when I inquired about smoking. Since No Smoking signs all over. Looked like homeless individuals are living in this hotel as well. Just a crap hotel. read more

I really like this hotel in South Miami. It's next to Publix and the CVS drugstore and there's an amazing restaurant - called Peruvian ceviche which has got some excellent food. The beds are comfortable. There is a refrigerator in the microwave in every room. The bathrooms are tiny and so is the tub but they do have a handrail. If you get the rooms overlooking the pool, it's really nice. They have areas to sit in a little courtyard. No hot tub.M There is a grinder and make coffee machine . Breakfast is nothing to rave about, but probably better than some of the other quality and breakfasts I've been to. They have a really nice pool deck on the upper level where you can sit on artificial turf and enjoy the air and the view Air conditioner is really noisy. An Uber ride from the airport is about $40 . Be careful with the key cards they get demagnetized next to your iPhone or your AirPods. Walk to grocery store and drugstore. McDonald's and bakeries close by. read more

Had a nice stay here, would recommend this hotel. A bit of a street noise problem in the morning, and the air conditioner was loud. It was clean, it was comfortable, everything worked, everything was stocked up. I have stayed in far, far worse hotels on this 7 day trip, so this place was a dream compared to those nightmares. This place cost less than the nightmare places, so you are getting quite a bargain staying here. Even with the noise issue, I would rather stay here than pay way more for a filthy, run-down, disaster area like we stayed at 6 days later. Count your blessings and be thankful this place is the way it is. Believe me, it is SO much better than some other places. read more

This wasn't a bad hotel for a quick weekend get-away. The pool area was really nice with the setup and colors. Didn't feel like your typical hotel pool. The one down side I would mention is the rooms aren't super clean, and the beds aren't the best. read more

So I'm between houses and decided to stay in this hotel because it wasn't expensive and is conveniently located for my housing search. I checked in around 4ish and was greeted by friendly staff. The woman set up my handicapped accessible room and sent me on my way. My room was clean, comfy and super cute. It came equipped with a mini fridge, microwave and small seating area aside from the desk. The barn doors separate the bathroom which was very clean. I was given a shower chair to put into the bathtub which isn't super accessible, but since I'm smaller and able to lift myself, I made it work. The bed was soft and comfortable. I went to the lobby at 9am for breakfast. There was coffee available and you could pick up a "to-go" bag from front desk. There was a breakfast sandwich, muffin and granola bar inside. It was a little strange that guests weren't required by staff to wear a mask and there was even a woman behind the front desk who didn't have hers on! Like we're inside a small lobby, make sure you have your mask on, it isn't that difficult. There were literally people getting coffee on one side without a mask while the guy stood talking to the woman behind the desk who both didn't have masks on. The hotel was a little more full than I had anticipated and had a different crowd due to spring break, however, my stay was enjoyable and for the most part, I had a good time. read more

Visiting Miami for my high school reunion, I had three choices for a hotel - Holiday Inn or LaQuinta at Caribbean Boulevard and U.S. 1 in Cutler Bay, or the Quality Inn Miami South at S.W. 145th and U.S. 1 in Palmetto Bay. With the reunion party at the American Legion, I opted for the Quality Inn as the hotel was only a mile away from the event venue. Booking the hotel online through Choice Hotels, I opted for value and convenience over luxury. About $83.00 a night at the Quality Inn, including loyalty points and a bottle of water (with potato chips) upon check in. Jeffrey and Nestor were working the front desk upon my arrival. Polite and friendly, they inquired whether I wanted a room on the first or second floor. I chose the first floor and was quickly checked into room 106. King size bed, refrigerator, microwave oven, and a flat screen television - the room was clean and smoke free. Hotel has no elevator, but keep in mind it's only two stories and floor options were made available upon check in. Skip the "free" breakfast. The restaurant at the Quality Inn Miami South is closed at the moment and breakfast is being outsourced. While breakfast contains several of the normal staples such as bagels, bread, English muffins, cold/hot cereal, fruit, coffee, milk and various juices - the hot eggs and ham (with onions???) - weren't very appetizing. During non-breakfast hours, you will find a coffee station in the hotel foyer leading to the restaurant. Coffee was hot - sugar/sweetener, cream, etc. - were readily available. Stood here for Miami Caribbean Carnival early this month , what a beautiful hotel , I booked this hotel because there allowed pets , I wasn't too sure if i was going to bring my cat with me , but i didn't . I let my parents watch my cat instead in NYC back home . Beautiful hotel . even when i walk in the hotel hallway during the mornings to get breakfast downstairs The housekeepers was like "Good Morning " i'm a new yorker you'll be luckly if someone say hi to you in NYC on the streets .love the southern atmosphere . The pool is very beautiful during the late evening hours the pool lighting change colors . The hotel is connected to Peruvian Bar & Restaurant , it also the same pathway where there served brekfeast in the mornings . so you can go downstairs during the late hours to drink tequila or rum or cognac what ever you feel to drink ( unfortunately i didnt get chance go to the bar downstairs , because i had a bottle of hennessy in my lugguage from nyc and some orange juice ). Very disappointed! I live very close from this hotel so I was very excited to accommodate my whole family who was coming from mexico. We made reservations months prior because we needed several rooms and my 80 year old grandma needed a handicap friendly room (meaning in first floor with shower instead of bathtub) . Everything was confirmed and set. When she arrived she was given a regular bath tub room and was told by the receptionist that the room he knew had shower was taken so he couldn't give it to her and that they might be other rooms with shower but he didn't know which ones so that was it. It is a shame because I always have people visiting me and I wont be able to recommend this hotel anymore. read more

Lamp on desk looked like it had never been wiped off. This was the SECOND room! First room, same mold problem. Light over vanity didn't work. Shower bar had been pulled away from wall so curtain would not stay in place. Filthy behind bathroom door (seeing a pattern here?). At $112/night, this place is of little value. Room 114 had a musty odor to it. But the odor didn't emanate from the carpet or any other fabric. It originated from the A/C unit. I'm guessing that filters aren't changed regularly. Because of this lack of attention to detail, any guest in this room will be greeted rudely. The $112/night isn't standard however. There were several events going on in Miami during my stay, so that was reflected in the price. I wouldn't pay more than $50/night to stay here to be honest, even with the free breakfast. The free breakfast is pretty basic. Below is the list of offerings: -bagels (cinnamon raisin & plain) -english muffin -traditional muffin -cereal (cheerios, frosted mini wheats, special k, frosted flakes) -scrambled egg (microwaved) -bacon or sausage (microwaved) -yogurt -oatmeal packets -coffee/tea/apple juice/orange juice/milk -fruit (banana, apple, orange) At least the tv in the room was a flat screen, too bad every channel had static. Just found the cleanest,safest, and most aesthetically appealing Quality Inn in Florida. Good job on the remodeling of the rooms, the new restaurant and bar, and the comedy club right downstairs. Easy drive to South Beach and other cool spots. And the price was amazing for all that came with it. I WILL be back! read more

Very good hotel, would definitely stay again. The staff are very friendly and help accommodate to many needs. The breakfast is nothing special, just a muffin, granola bar, jimmy dean frozen sandwich and a juice. The pool was very clean and family friendly. My only complaint would have to be about the cleanliness on the floors. Weren't vacuumed and mopped at all, there was hair everywhere on the ground and very dusty. The beds were heavenly comfortable though! Overall very clean except for floors. There is a Publix and a Starbucks located right next door for connivence too. read more

I was outside my room talking to my wife when the guy next door comes storming out saying we are talking too loud. Soon after the front desk woman comes to the room. She doesn't even want to hear our side of the story and threatens to kick us out for talking too loud. I'm just stunned how a person can make up lies and the front desk will believe them without even considering the other person. Completely ridiculous how a person can lie and get their way but a person who stands up for themselves gets told they are going to be kicked out. Horrible management skills. She was confrontational and rude. Completely horrible experience. Keep on driving if you value your rights. Now I have to find another hotel because I'm afraid of getting kicked out for closing my door too hard. read more

My parents came into town and stayed at this hotel only because it's right around the corner from my apartment. They have stayed here once before and it's obviously nothing spectacular, but its fine to rest their head at night. This visit was completely different. Their hotel room was the size of a box, my mom's feet were completely black after walking on it for less than an hour, they killed a roach that they found by the bed, the shower was missing part of the door so when they showered, water was all over the bathroom floor AND when they came back to the room on the 2nd day, it stunk of cigarette smoke! Breakfast was being served in a small hotel room because the restaurant still was not ready and it was just a terrible, ghetto setup. They didn't mention anything to the manager because their stay was very short and they were not in the room that much due to spending time w their family. Therefore, packing up and relocating to a different room was not worth the time. The morning of checkout, they told the front desk all of these things and absolutely nothing was done nor offered to them for their next visit. Unfortunately, they will not be staying here on their next visit. A simple gesture from them could have changed this outcome. read more

Stay 8 days and 7 nights. Room 218 had a bad smell that went away once you turn on the AC. Right from the start we got small cockroaches and this past Friday a big one was trying to come in the room. The room is outdated. The bathtub had a missing chip. Because I had an operation I asked for a late check out and it was authorized until 12 noon. Continental breakfast was provided but it was not refilled as they should. No juice, water, coffee, milk for the cornflakes. Employees who work on this area need to be on top of it. The young ladies that work at the front desk have zero customer service and sense of urgency. Asked to speak to a manager around 815AM and Front desk called in the afternoon and it was not the manager. Came to find out that at check in the clerk never charged for my miniature Yorky. I only chose the place because it was the cheapest rate and still NOT that cheap. Housekeeping is provided every 4 days. You have to ask if you need shampoo, soap, etc...My room was not cleaned once. We did everything, including asking for new bags and throwing out the trash. The only thing worthy was the swimming pool that I couldn't use because of surgery. This is a good low-cost yet reliable hotel. It may not be the cheapest place around, but is probably the cheapest place without a lot of meth. For me, it was in the $70 a night range. Everything was in working order, the breakfast is acceptable, there's enough parking, and they have a pool that no one was ever using. Also - they allow pets. That's a big deal if, for instance, you are bringing pets. Facilities are a little rough around the edges, but just a little. I don't know what those three recent terrible reviews are about. read more

Our towels were stained and the bedspread had blood on it, We asked for them to change linens and they brought up some sheets but asked us to change it ourselves. Quality Inn South is a great place to stay. We've been coming here for over 25 years. There are nearby businesses for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Can't decide on a place to eat? There's a Publix right next door. Forgot face wash and a toothbrush? There's a CVS right there as well. It's all within walking distance, so leave your car in the hotel's parking lot! The rooms are clean with updated TVs, and the beds and pillows are the best. Pillows have plenty of stuffing in them. The pool area is a great place to hang out, have a cigar, or a snack. Plenty of vending machines to quench your thirst or fill your tummy as well. If you need more, there's the hotel restaurant- Romano's. Some rooms even have refrigerators and microwaves so you can munch on your leftovers later! At the end of a busy day, it's wonderful to come back to these rooms to get comfortable and rest up. read more

We actually lived there over a year ago for 32 days while our house was being renovated. The staff was friendly and easy to deal with & location is great but rooms were kind of run down & breakfast bar was not the best. However, friends just stayed here over the holidays and all of the rooms have been completely remodeled, they look great!! Also a new restaurant opened inside the hotel that is awesome!!! read more

Me and my mom been in the inn before back in the 1980's and the color was plan UGLY Neo BARF green,blue muster Yellow was the rooms and back then it was the collor used to be love! UGLY UGLY UGLY and fake wood Panels sooo 1970'sh and those colors was UGLY!!!! However the rooms back then was $25.00 a night and the rooms was good! But the color I still can recall was UGLY! Did I said the rooms was UGLY more then a few time! I came back in the mid 1990's They remove the fake paneling but STILL keep the UGLY colors. Is there a EYE DOCTOR IN YELP TO HELP THESE PEOPLE???? I did came back again in 2001 They did CHANGE the color but if your room is near to the sun the old paint bleeds thought the OLD color in a few rooms! I been in a Few other Quality INN in other parts of the state and they are BY FARE better in color excpt for FL! Who pick the color Wrost color and did a sh*tty over up and STILL shows in elite few rooms in that inn ask more for that plan crazy! Our door wouldn't even close, the rack they put in the wall fell off when we tried to use it, and the breakfast they provide was awful. I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. Also the hotel has no regard for its guests. Two nights in a row they had parties, the parking lot had no room for the actually guests and the noise they made kept me and my family up till 2am! And when we said something the just said sorry. Absolute crap. Horrible experience, save yourself the money and take it else where so you don't have to deal with this god forsaken hotel. read more

Absolutely horrible. Air Conditioner couldn't keep up with a fairly mild Miami winter day and it left a puddle of water on the floor. Shower had extremely low flow heads and the temperature fluctuated frequently. Everything was cheap and run down.... No refrigerator or microwave. When we checked out, the genius maintenance staff decided in the humid morning it was a GREAT time to paint the concrete outside. When walking off the stairs to the car I slipped on the wet paint and it got all over my shoes. NO wet paint sign to be found. About ten minutes later a sign showed up. Talk about putting the carriage before the horse. Avoid at all costs! read more

What a great experience I had at this hotel, it fit my needs perfectly and on top of that the staff here is terrific! When I lost my car keys right when I was headed out to the very event I came into town for, the whole staff rose to the occasion and helped me find them! Carmen at the front desk, the housekeeping staff and my hero Melvin who climbed into the dumpster and found my keys that had somehow ended up in the garbage. He saved my trip! My room was clean and well made up every day, the AC was cold, the shower hot, Free WIFI, lots of good food nearby, Publix and CVS walking distance right next door, the Falls shopping mall and plenty of restaurants nearby. This is the best hotel to stay at if you are on a budget and looking to stay in this area or on your way down to the Keys. read more

From the inhospitable front desk person to the dead bug (yuk!) next to the microwave to the falling apart furniture and the very loose safety bar in the bathroom this place was plain disgusting. For the amount of money I paid I should've been staying at somewhere much more upscale like a Marriot. This place is nothing more than an upscale Motel-6. By far the worst hotel I've ever had the displeasure of staying in. Between the half used rolls of toilet paper I was given in my room from the last guests and no new rolls, and the open packages of used soap from the last guests I was completely disgusted! My room also came with dirty towels with stains on them folded up and hung on the towel rack as if they were fresh, and the room smelled as if the maids smoked 2 packs of cigarettes in it while they were "cleaning" the room. The "continental breakfast" consisted of a bagel with half melted cream cheese, a box of cereal for which there was no milk, an apple, warm apple juice, with eggs and breakfast links that tasted as if they were out of a box however, I can honestly say I've had better out of a box so I can't properly compare them to anything considering I have never experienced any eggs or sausage so horrid. Then as if the breakfast was already less than adequate, the woman started taking everything away from the breakfast area about 45 minutes to an hour before breakfast was scheduled to end. read more
