The family owners are onsite, and really care about the customers. They've remodeled the lobby area, and rather than looking like the typical broken down grease monkey automotive waiting area, it's a nice peaceful place to sit and relax. I feel like I had to pay for their mistake... Took my truck…read morefor a gear swap in the rear end. After I got my truck back, the rear end started making noises and the driver side wheel was getting super hot. Took it back to them and it turns out that they overnighted the wheel bearing when they were reassembling it. They had to replace the hub assembly because the extreme heat damaged it. A while after getting my truck back, something snapped in the rear of the truck and it wouldn't move. Took it back and they said the carrier in the rearend broke. They assured me that it had nothing to do with the previous work they performed or had anything to do with the previous mistake they made with the over tightened bearing. Then they called and said it turns what had happed was the driver side axle(where that over tightened bearing was) snapped. Again, they said it had nothing to do with the previous work or mistake. When I went to pick my truck up, I asked again if the extreme heat from the over tightened bearing had anything to do with it and he said no. Then I asked for the old axle so I could have it looked at. He found part of the axle, but couldn't find the part that broke off. He looked around for a few minutes with no luck, then said he'd just text me when he found it. I told him it had to be around here somewhere and said I didn't mind waiting. After a while, it turned up. It looked to me that it broke off about where that over tightened bearing was. It had grease on it, so he put it in a plastic bag and took it out to my truck. I cleaned it off when I got home and it looks like it got hot at the break point cause it's a little discolored. The break point is also in the area where the hub assembly was damaged from the over tightened bearing. Maybe a coincidence, but it sure don't feel like it.

I looked up places, literally sorted by distance, called and left a message and moved on to the next one on the list. By the time I was finished talking to the next option I already got a call back. Told him a little about what was happening and told him I was going to work on getting a tow. Your results may vary, but from my experience, anything related to car repair as a woman who knows nothing about cars can be really stressful. I don't know enough to discern if they're telling me the right thing or taking advantage. They showed me the codes. Asked if I knew how certain things worked. Literally explained to me in a way that I could actually understand what was wrong with my car and what they needed to do to fix it. AMAZING!!! I dropped it off in the afternoon and picked it up, running just fine, mid-day the very next day. Absolutely honest, kind, and reasonably priced work. You'll be my go-to place now! However, while we were there, my sister bought 2 tires from them on our way home. After the inspection, my sister's cruise control stopped working and the ABS light came on on her -, I called Hibdons to set up to set up an appointment for them to rectify the issues that had started after their inspection. When we got there for the appointment, they left us sitting in the waiting room for 6 hours until they told us that they didn't have time for An inspection that day, we were not there for another inspection which they knew because I told them all the issues on the phone when I made the appointment. We feel that this is a dishonest business and would not recommend that anyone, especially, ladies go there for any kind of service. Unfortunately, there were 3 other ladies in the waiting room with us. Also, and they all mysteriously seemed to come up with many more issues than the issues that they came for originally.

Today 6/9 20.I Broke off valve stim driving in our pasture, I had them to break down tire and check for any other problems it cost me $10. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, I highly recommend Fred's Tire and Battery. (This tire is at least 20 years old, the other place won't touch it and want you to buy a new tire) IF it is repairable Fred's will fix it !
