If I could give John more than 5 stars, I totally would! I have received tons of massages from all over the country and have yet to find someone better than John! He is knowledgeable and takes his time making sure you feel great before you leave. I have experienced extreme neck and upper back pain and almost EVERY time I see John, the pain is gone. He truly knows what he is doing! I also go in for his chair massages when I am in a rush, but need quick relief. There aren't too many people around that offer this service and its fantastic!!! John does some of the best massage work I've ever had done in my life. I've tried to find someone who works out all the knots, tension and balled up muscles in my body and without even telling him, he finds all my trouble spots. Between the regular deep tissue, hot stone massage and having recently been the first receipent of his 4 hour massage - all of his work is top notch. Serious Mental Health Problems ( you must read) John: I have been coming to you for massages for the past four years . I have followed you to several different locations over the years despite me having to drive 45-50 minutes to get there. I have entered in a professional client/therapist relationship with you. Over the past four years, I have had many massages with you. I have been late three times and understood it was my fault and would accept the remaining time on my session. I only missed one massage session, August 2017 , due to me being involved in car accident a few miles down the road from your office. At that point you left me a very nasty message concerning me not showing up, even though I attempted to call you twice while I waited for the police, to let your know I would not be there due to the accident, although you did not pick up, I left a message. I know I have acted polite, responsible and respectful towards you. Therefore I find it shocking that you think so little of your behavior, attitude and profession as a LMT to act unprofessional , nasty, and rude to me because my Pay Flex Master Card would not go through. This was not my fault since it was clearly your phone device that did not have a signal. But you immediately accused me that my card did not work , you embarrassed me in front of the entire staff at the salon, and insisted I pay with another credit card, which I did not want to do since I made it perfectly clear to you, I went to my doctors and received a referral for the sole purpose that the massage was to be covered under my Pay Flex Card. I understand that you were frustrated over being late with your next client and that you were running late , but this was not my fault. I arrived 10 minutes early for my massage , I was not late. You however were not prepared for our session. I told you repeatedly I would need a note from you concerning my deep tissue massage for my Pay Flex Credit Card. You advertise on your website you take Pay Flex Credit Cards. I called you last week, days before our appointment, to notify you I would need this letter to summit with a bill from you. I even sent you a copy of the doctor's order so you could see exactly what I needed . I told you exactly what to write for the insurance company. To Provider: Nancy was sent at my office on February 6, 2018 for a deep tissue massage. She was referred for a deep tissue sports massage , 1-2/x per week for 4-6 weeks by Matthew Smith, MD at EG Ortho. Nancy's diagnosis was ,lumbosacral spondylosis without myelopathy, ICD-10: Spondylosis without myelopathy or radiculopathy, lumbosacral region; M54.5: low back pain; M47.816: Spondylosis without myelopathy or radiculopathy, lumbar region. I John Gavin (LMT) worked on the above areas with a series of deep tissue manipulations and stretch techniques . I will continue to see client as needed. The cost of the session is 95 dollars. Its wasn't rocket science to have a letter ready for me which I told you I needed. You did not care about my needs or what I wanted,. You did not listen to me. You told me you needed to see me first and then send me a letter days later. The fact is you were unprepared and tried to talk your way out of it with some logical nonsense. You did not feel like doing it. I had to spend several minutes again explaining to you what I needed, and you still seemed to complicate the whole thing and appeared confused, which probable put you behind schedule. Again ,this was not my fault. I told you specifically, several times I had a huge amount of credit on my Pay Flex credit card and that I would lose it by April first. Why would I want to put it on my regular credit card when I told you I needed to use my medical credit card. The expectations and boundaries were already discussed. At that point when the Pay Flex Card would not go through , I called the company with you right there to prove that it was your service and a bad connection , the problem was not my card, I did have the available funds on the card, which you so negatively accused me of not having. A professional person would have said, "I see there must be a problem with the connection, I will call you this week to figure it out , but I need to go now." Instead you became abrupt , rude, ignorant, nasty, and totally unprofessional , this was all evidenced by you saying , I don't want to bother with you anymore, go, don't call me and, I don't want your money. Wow, who behaves like that? The fact is , you were unprepared, you did not care, you did not want to be bothered, you were frustrated for being late, then you projected all your issues onto me in a passive aggressive manner , and then tried to justify your behavior by terminating our relationship. One of the best massages I've ever had. John works his tail off to ensure your comfort and experience is a good one. He genuinely seems concerned with your well being. It had been awhile since I had a massage, but I had knots in my back and shoulders that really needed attention. This was my first time here and as I walked in he was walking out his last patient, she paused to say "he's really good", great I thought. I had already checked out his reviews, and all but one were excellent (it probably was a computer glitch or oversight). The appointment scheduling and waiver was done quickly and easily online and expedited my treatment. The atmosphere was relaxing and tranquil while bird and forest sounds were pumped into the room. John concentrated on my areas of concern and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend him. My only criticism is that there's no sign out front to show that Quality Massage is in there. read more

I have been a client of John's for a few years now for deep tissue work and today tried his reflexology session. It was nothing short of amazing! He explained how each part of the body related to each part of my foot and it felt fantastic. I am an avid runner and stand on my feet all day for work so I know my next run and shift at work I will feel re-charged! Fantastic massage. I had a deep tissue and I would definitely come back. John was very responsive to my requests - I had a bad headaches and a very sore neck and shoulders. I have been a client of John's for a year and wouldn't consider going to anyone else. I try to get a massage once a month as I have a physically demanding job and need the monthly maintenance. I have gotten both the Swedish and deep tissue massages (depending on my body's needs) and also tried the hot stone massage. I have always been highly satisfied. John is great at pointing out problem areas as well as being receptive to working on the areas that I would like focused on. One time I went in and within the first 5 minutes John asked if I had been sleeping well because he could tell I hadn't been. What?! He was absolutely correct, I had had a few nights of consistently waking up due to some shoulder issues. I love the new office and find it very relaxing. I like to be able to pick my own lotion (scented or non) and he always asks me what music I would like to listen to. He never skimps on the time of the massage, in fact, will go over if he feels like he didn't get to an area well enough. John is always taking new courses to keep up on his skills as well as learning a new or different technique. I think it is very important to have continuing education and you can tell John feels the same and truly loves his occupation. My husband has also had a few massages from John feels as positive about him as I do. We also had a couples massage that was fantastic. I had John as a therapist and my husband had a woman therapist. The vibe was very nice and the massages for both of us were wonderful. I can't wait to try it again! I highly recommended John. Very organized, clean and quiet atmosphere. I felt comfortable the during whole hour-long massage and my back now feels better. I definitely need more work done on my back as it is very tight, and I will most likely make another appointment!
