No one really looks forward to having medical imaging done, but somehow Steinberg makes it a genuinely nice experience. It's literally the Nordstrom of diagnostic imaging. They're super fast, they're on top of things and I've never had an issue with their machines (other locations have had issues with machines not cooling properly.) Staff is great. One time they called me when I had a stat order for imaging for a potential blood clot a few years ago and told me they could fit me in if I could get there in the next 10 minutes. I had four different scans today with contrast and their staff is great about getting the needle in painlessly and on the first try. Latest visit: April 2026

I was told three times by a very young and very arrogant lab tech who did my MRI that I definitely DID NOT need to remove the two metal partial dentures in my mouth for my MRI even though my head would be inside the MRI machine during the MRI. The older and more experienced woman assisting this arrogant kid did not say a word while he insisted to me that I could and should wear my metal dentures in the MRI. Fortunately I did not listen to this idiot lab tech boy doing my MRI and I removed my metal dentures at the last minute before getting in the MRI machine. That decision might have saved my life I found out later. I have no idea how in the world something like this could ever happen, but it did. Fortunately I remembered from a previous MRI that ALL METAL needed to be removed from my mouth and my entire body to avoid DEATH OR SERIOUS BODILY INJURY!! I have since talked to several doctors and personal injury lawyers about this MRI experience and they all agree this was either total and complete incompetence by two SimonMed employees or maybe something much worse like racism!! The problem with wearing metal in a MRI machine is that it can not just screw up the tests and damage the MRI machine, IT CAN ALSO KILL YOU OR CAUSE SERIOUS AND PERMANENT BODILY HARM!!! I had to pass an officer of the law with a line of hand cuffed prisoners. Then when I got to the desk it seemed like I had to wait forever. The lady checking me in just kept nodding her head. This took a very long time. Then she hands me some sort of computerized check out form to fill and pay myself. That was strange too. In reasonable time a nurse fetches me for the x-ray. I was in-and-out in a flash. That was painless and easy. They send everything to your doctor and don't tell you a thing.

They're pursuing me for an out-of-pocket rate that is 5x the insurance-allowed rate. I'm only updating this review, because I've attempted to call Pueblo three times over the past two days, and they promise to call me back and don't. I'm not sure whether this is fraud or just pure incompetence, but do *NOT* seek services here. Going to the Attorney General if I get one more call or bill for these people. And for the ridiculous effort it's taken to get this claim processed, that refund needs to come quickly.

As you all know, Patrick is not mobile so we couldn't get him to his vascular surgeon. Having them come to the house was a lifesaver for us. I reached to the money and was told that i need to have the exact amount as they have no change. Cash to the penny. Not having the exact amount and not being told prior, i pulled out my charge card. The clerk then told me that to use a charge card would require me to pay an additional 3% fee ($6.40). I feel that they should have change or if not they should not punish me to use my card. They could have told me prior to my appointment i which case i would have brought the correct amount. Yes, it's only $6.00, but i got nothing for the money. The place was nice and the techs were nice. My appointment time was 11:35am. I was taken in at 11:27am and out by 11:45am.

One day prior to my appointment, I received a voicemail stating I needed to confirm my appointment; however, the day prior I had already received my confirmation text for 7:30 and filled out my paperwork through the online portal. So I called them back and stated I have an appointment tomorrow at 7:30 and just want to make sure that it's confirmed because I had filled out the information the day prior. They said oh we saw it just now you're good to go for tomorrow morning. I arrived at 7:06 because I know I'm an early bird but being a new patient, I assumed that they would want you there at least 10 minutes prior. I waited in my car until 712 and then I walked up to the door and it was locked so I waited around until 7:30 rolled around. It was still locked. At this time another patient arrived and was also waiting, but her appointment was at 8am. I tried calling the office a couple times and it just rang. I then called the Smoke Ranch location and the lady who answered was extremely nice, tried calling someone at the Cheyenne location with no luck. She then double checked my appointment was at 7:30 and was at the Cheyenne location, she apologized and said someone for sure should be there at 8. While talking to her someone backed up in a space right in front with their sunroof open. I told the Smoke Ranch lady that someone had pulled up but I didn't know if they were a patient or employee. Finally after another 5 minutes she went into the employee entrance but never opened the front door. More people started coming so I asked one of them if they could please check what was going on since my appointment was at 7:30. Finally after more time passed someone opened the front door and stated that the woman in the jean jacket who was the first person to go in could help us. I said my appointment was at 7:30 and asked what had happened. She then stated they don't open until 8. I said I have a confirmation text of my appointment time and confirmed it with them the day prior. She then tried to tell me that 7:30 is the arrival time, but my appointment is at 8. Lying to my freaking face! If my arrival time is 7:30 why was she sitting around in her car and not there in the office at 7:30. Why would the lady also waiting have a text that states 8 and not 7:30 like me. Why would the lady at Smoke Ranch not have said anything about that when she confirmed she saw my appointment was at 7:30. Because the Cheyenne receptionist is a complete liar, that's why. She was completely gross, obnoxious and rude and could have handled the situation completely differently. She could have just apologized that no one was there and that would have been it. But no, she tried to make it seem like it was my fault for being there at 7:30. Get it together and try being just a little bit professional, you work at a medical office. Steer clear of this location. It was my first time there and I hope they hire a better receptionist who is more compassionate with patients. No complaints, every staff I met here today for my imaging procedure did their job satisfactorily…read moreor better. The check-in and copay processing was efficient and unremarkable. The staff that gave me the gown to change into explained it like she has done this for decades, even though she is probably still in her 20s. The imaging technician that preformed the CT procedure was very professional with outstanding bedside manner. She took her time to make sure the procedure was done with the best results for the lab and my doctor to review. During the procedure, she told me about what was coming up and what to expect, so I was not surprised by any of the steps or chemicals used during the procedure. Also very pleasantly surprised that the wait time once I was in the back waiting area was under 10 minutes, before I was lead to the imaging room for the procedure. Solid 4 stars.
