Today, Steinberg calls and said they have not gotten the pre-authorization from my urologist office for this test. They claim that they do not do insurance pre-authorization for testing that required the doctors office that refers you to them to get it. I talked to my urologist office. They send it in the day. I had my appointment last month and then send it again today. However, a supervisor at Steinberg claims they never received it and they simply canceled my appointment. I have told my urologist I no longer trust Steinberg Diagnostic to do my testing. I prefer to go back to Desert radiology I have always had a good experience with him. I will never ever ever use Steinberg again nor should you.

The instructions I was given were rushed, and I wasn't given an opportunity to ask questions or understand what I was supposed to do. As a patient, that left me feeling confused and uncomfortable. I also politely asked if I could sign in black or blue ink instead of red, since I've never had an issue making that request at other medical offices. The two staff members responded with visible annoyance and scoffed at my question, which felt dismissive and unnecessary. The overall process lacked communication. I saw patient gowns available but was never told whether I was supposed to change into one or not. I was left standing there unsure of what to do, which made me feel uneasy and unsupported. A medical imaging appointment can already be stressful, and patients deserve clear communication, professionalism, and respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I am so distraught.

The day before I received 3 calls 30 minutes apart asking what is his appointment for because they had no referral. We are still sitting here at 11:10 with an appointment time oh 10:00 ask to arrive at 9:40. Not to mention my dad is recovering from a broken hip. I went to the check-in window at about 1040 because we hadn't been caught yet and I saw other people that came in after has been called. When I went up to the window, the second time he still was not in the system after being checked in at 9:40 I don't know what the hell these people are doing here they're inexperienced. There's too many elderly people in here for them to be so dysfunctional.

I'm…read morehighly claustrophobic, and also have an impossible time lying on my back due to severe back pain. My joy was short-lived. I arrived 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment, and was told by the unfriendly front-desk girl that I was late. No one had told me to be there earlier; I live way on the other side of town, and S. Maryland Pkwy. is completely ripped up. When I got home, there was a message on my phone half an hour before the appointment time asking where I was. The technician, Adriana, who did the MRI told me that I couldn't move at all during the test, not even during the time in-between the various sections of it. So I didn't, not one bit. She said if I did, the entire test would be invalidated. The room was also freezing, so she had put a sheet over my hands that were resting on a cube on my lap. She told me that she wouldn't be able to hear me, but if I needed help I should raise my hand. Wouldn't that then invalidate the whole test?? The last section of the test was the longest, seven minutes, she said. And when that ended, she said I was going to have to come back and have the entire MRI redone, because I had moved. I said I hadn't moved a muscle, so then she asked if I had taken a deep breath. I knew I had, so she said that was the reason. So why didn't she tell me not to take a deep breath along with the don't-move instruction that she kept repeating??? I was not about to do another 30+ mile round-trip to repeat the entire test and risk having to screw it up again if I did something as natural as breathing, so I told her to just have them send the report to the doctor as-is. She said she'd see what the doctor would do. And that led into a nearly week-long odyssey. I'd call every day and never get through. I had the tech's extension #, but it would ring three times and disconnect. On the rare occasion that I got to speak to the tech, she changed her tune and said I'd only have to repeat the last part. So which part of what she told me was true - repeat the whole test, or just the last part??? Totally untrustworthy. Once again, I told her that I wanted it sent the way it was. Finally, after six days, when I called and finally got through after another five attempts, she said the report had been sent to my doctor; I had her send it to me, which she did. From beginning to end, the unprofessionalism and lack of honesty of this facility is a deal breaker. I also had to have a different MRI, and chose an open-sided MRI facility. The difference in the way I was treated was like night and day, and I dealt with the back problem and the claustrophobia just fine, thanks to the skill and caring of the techs at the other facility (see my review). LV Radiology's Upright MRI isn't worth the trade-off. Unfortunately, they're pretty much the only game in town for an Upright, but it's not worth it. Better off to suck it up and go for an Open MRI. It was a horrible experience made even worse by the incompetence of everyone there.

I called the insurance company and they said they had not received any request from LV Radiology. When I called back to LV Radiology they said "Oh I see your insurance denied request" When I explained that couldn't be the case as no request had been received by insurance, I was told by LV Radiology , " it must have been an error, we are short staffed!!" I'm going to another imaging business.

As per my previous review, it took me well over 2 weeks of constantly hounding Steinberg to get my results. I eventually filed a complaint after the 10th business day passed with no results. I spoke to a manager who sent an email asking that my results be read next. She advised me that they are extremely behind and that they no longer offer a timeframe of when your results will be ready because of how behind they are. Since this was over a month ago, i figured things would be smoothed out by now, and scheduled another MRI at Steinberg. This was a mistake. It's now been 2 weeks since I had my MRI and still, no results. My partner had an ankle xray at this facility and was given results within days, but the MRI's or more advanced tests seem to have an extremely delay. A lot of people visiting this clinic are dealing with life threatening illnesses, and it's heartbreaking to think that they're expected to wait WEEKS for their results. This seems to be Steinberg's new standard of care. The tech who did my MRI was a gem and I hope she is treated better as an employee than we are treated as their patients.

I went in on Thursday and saw an older woman who was very kind and tried to find the sac. She had me on my sides and saw it and said she thought she saw a flicker but that I was likely too early. So she wanted me to come back free of charge on Sunday to see Evelyn. On Sunday, my spotting had far subsided and I was optimistic. I know I ovulated late so likely I am earlier than my dated pregnancy. However, Evelyn hardly tried to see anything. She told me that it was probably a cyst not a sac that was seen a few days before. She said I'm either too early or ectopic. What is interesting is that she didn't show me the "cyst" again and didn't move me around as much. She also texted someone in the middle of the appointment to get her a drink. Her bedside manner was not great... especially for a vulnerable pregnant woman who had a miscarriage 3 months prior. Now I am ridden with anxiety until my appointment with my Dr even though I have no reason to believe anything is wrong. Spotting stopped and was never red. My hcg was more than doubling when it is supposed to. My symptoms are still prevalent. I hope I'm just too early. But now the thought of an ectopic pregnancy is at the front of my mind. I would genuinely not suggest going here for an early scan if you could be earlier than you think. Bloodwork seems to be the best route.

I didn't really hear them offer an name, just said we needed to schedule, so we did. I was given their phone number, and address as well as my appointment time. On the morning of, I arrived early, but it was before anyone had shown up to work, the parking lot was dark and empty. I waited and finally a car parked and I decided to try the door. I wasn't quite sure as the door was a single door but accommodated two different businesses. One side it was a physical therapy center and the other side was the diagnostic center. I went to the desk and gave my name, was given forms to complete and after copies of my ID and insurance card was taken back. I'd never had an MRI before and didn't know really what they would have me do. Once in the back, I was shown a locker to put my purse/valuables in and lock, I kept the key. I was placed on the table and offered head phones with choice of radio station. After a quick 20 minutes or so, the scan was done and I was off the table heading to work. it was quick, painless, and they were very efficient at getting their job done.

Second appointment, they neglected to set up a follow up appointment, simply told me to go home and wait to hear back, I had to contact them. They did not communicate to oxygen mask company which mask I needed, they simply sent me "basic equipment" not what I needed the doctor never explained ANYTHING, or indicate which mask I needed nor did they communicate with the equipment company, it was such a mess, not professional at all. Awful experience, I returned all equipment and decided to take my chances with the sleep apnea, until I find another company my insurance will cover. Total waste of my time and money.
