One of the items they identified was the old serpentine belt wrapped around the axle. Apparently it was too much work for them to pull it off because it's still there. They replaced the valve cover gasket, did an oil change and replaced the existing belts. There is lots more to get done including the timing belt. My son called back to get a price for all the parts and labor which was almost $300 more than the next shop we called in the area.
