Unsure of the lukewarm reviews but I've taken my BMW X3 into AZ Auto Repair several times (brakes, oil leak, etc.) and have been cared for very well. I feel like the mechanics are honest about the repairs needed and look to find ways to make their services affordable. I took my X3 in with a random oil leak- the crew completely power washed the engine bay to find the leak and turned out being a minor replacement. Service is great, they allow you to leave your car overnight if needed (key drop box on site). They can tackle just about any type of auto maker and repair- give them a shot! read more

My son's car broke down and AAA recommended AZ Auto Repair. I came in and paid for the repairs, ready to pick up the car but we heard them start it up to bring it around but then shut it off. There was something "off" they said, so they asked to keep it until the morning. Ultimately, Craig and John did not stop until it was correctly repaired. Twice it was ready for pick up but when they started it, John got a frustrated look. "It's just not right," he said. "Would you mind if we kept it one more day?" They did. They fixed it and they made certain it was right. Not only that, they delivered it to our house only when they knew it was complete. Wow. You don't get that kind of service anymore. Asked for a quote on AC clutch/ possible compressor fix for my Honda work car and ended up with a bill for $50 to quote me a $660 compressor that anyone can get for $230 with a list of another $1800 for items they say need done. I love the salesmanship but asked for quote to fix the AC not a upsale from a over priced auto shop. All shops do this but they also give free quotes but not this one!!! read more

My AC was stopping completely from time to time, everything stopped, the inside fan, the compressor, everything. Then it would restart a little while later. The car was a collector car and I don't let just anyone work on it but after talking to them I felt very comfortable. I do 99% of the work on my cars but I don't have the AC equipment so I scheduled an appointment for AC service. I figured it was the pressure safety switch automatically turning the system off (If the Freon is low and the pressure rises too high the system is designed to turn off rather than blow a hole in a line and leak Freon into the atmosphere). They completely bled the system, checked for a leak, evacuated, and then refilled with the proper amount of Freon and AC compressor oil. They also checked other items which could be the root cause of the system shut down and all was good. Very thorough inspection. I am pleased with the work they did. Oh, and the system is now working 100% of the time with no shut-offs. I am an experienced mechanic and bona fide car nut. They were highly recommended by 3 neighbors who are also car nuts. I was not disappointed. I will take my other cars (including collector) to them for AC work and anything else I can't do. read more

At first I was totally satisfied with this company. I have a few reasons I will not be back. This repair facility has worked on my 65 Cobra, 2020 Ram and one of my company trucks 2007 Chevy 2500. I had a constant problem with O2 sensors registering bad with my truck it has been this this shop and two other shops replacing O2 sensors along with other sensors trying to fix the issue. I dropped it off again Jan 2023 and the computer was having an issue. Replaced the computer and AZ Auto attempted to reprogram the computer. The computer would not take the programming because I paid another company to delete the security module because it was not reading the transponder keys. AZ auto could not do the programming because of this. I said no problem my guy was around the corner sent him over there in which John the owner was rude to him said we don't delete things here. We are not deleting emissions it up to me if I don't want the security. My guy Blair which is a really nice guy was trying to explain that but John the owner turned his back on him started sweeping the shop floor. I figured a happy customer better than an unhappy customer John probable needs to realize that too. I picked up my truck. Blair programmed my computer and I'm happy. I tried again to give AZ auto my business again to have 2 fuel filters replaced and I'm supplying the filters because they were hard to get at one time. Lady who answered the phone said book time it would be $189.00 and I'm supplying the filters! I said it like a 10 min job! I took it to another shop $50.00 later and filters replaced in under 12 min it took couple min to pay them. Again I'm happy and another reason I won't be going back. At that rate their shop rate is $756.00 per hr or they quoted me high to get rid of me. Either way very disappointed in the owner being rude, over priced and if the Chevy truck would of been diagnosed correctly the first time would of saved me over $1,000.00 in O2 sensors and wasted time. I was not going to do a review and take the higher road but they entered my phone number and I was getting calls daily to rate the business. Well here is your review. STOP CALLING ME. read more

Good Job --But I tried AZ Auto Repairs just recently and found them to be very honest and reliable and had my car service for replacement of brake pads, and rotor's. The reason I can say they are honest is I keep a complete history of my car in detail of all repairs done to it, and the recommenced repair down the road. So before I enter the door I knew exactly was was needed to be done. I also found Randy the owner and the girl at the front desk to polite and friendly. Here's the part that could of been better for Queen Creek people to know. The hourly rate for the job is very high around $ 88.00 p/hr even the high end dealer don't charge $88.00, and the part are full retail price and then some. So overall the business did the job, but at a higher rate. So if you budget person I would recommend not using them there are other places which offer a average $ 60.00 p/hr labor and better part rates. For being a AAA recommended place they need to work harder to earn the business at a fair market rate. read more

Very Helpful and Very understanding People at AZ Auto Repair . My car broke down on Hunt Highway and I called AAA . A tow truck was there in about 40 minutes and took me and my car to AZ Auto Repair . Randy found the problem very quickly, told me what the problem was and started calling around for a Serpentine Engine Belt. Do to the late time of day Randy said that he would not be able to get my car out tell tomorrow morning. The problem was diagnosed and a part ordered for next day delivery and installation. We were naturally concerned about progress as we needed to stay in a hotel and rent a car while repairs were done. All calls were answered directly and not sugar coated. The repairs was completed as quickly as the part was delivered and we were back on the road.
