I have wholeheartedly recommended Quality Painting & Construction to my friends. For detail, I had Ilya add a steel beam, several posts, add a new bathroom, remodel my kitchen and bathroom to the studs. They were very efficient, detailed and considerate, even helping with small errands like return a large exhaust fan to UPS when the original one sent was dented. Their experience shows throughout the process, and I felt respected and confident, even though this was my first major renovation. The project took slightly longer than estimated, but when I told Ilya that I had a relative who needed to move in with me, they moved heaven and earth to finish within a week. That said, they still continued to address small concerns after the fact, like painting the outside where an old electrical panel was moved, helping to repaint a small deck where lots of foot traffic had worn away the paint and now fixing a large drain pipe that has been leaking (note that the plumbers they sub to - Perez - are not my favorite). For costs, Quality are quite reasonable with a warranty that they stand behind. Ilya will always go above and beyond to ensure his clients are satisfied with the work delivered. It's super hard to find trustworthy and quality contractors who also have availability, so I felt fortunate that Quality was recommended to me by my experienced real estate agent friend. We recently did a full exterior paint job and repair of siding and failing roofing on our balcony. Ilya and his team were very professional, courteous, and timely when it came to their work. Communication was also very good. Other than the great paint job and work, I was also very impressed with how clean they kept the work site. After every day, they would spend the last part of the day cleaning around the outside of the house and making sure the surrounding neighbors were affected as little as possible. Guillermo and his team of painters were also great and tedious with their work. Guillermo helped us choose the scheme and was a great help with deciding where to use trim color and where to use base color. Ilya and his team did a great job repairing a water leak on the balconies and addressing the water damage on the walls and ceilings and painting repaired area. The owner Ilya and his team were true professionals! Ilya's crew were polite and courteous, showed up on time every day and completed the job on schedule as promised. The crew worked really hard and were very respectful of my belongings when moving furniture, and covered everything in plastic wrap to protect it from dust. The work was done very efficiently using the best paint materials, and they cleaned up everything after painting work was completed. There was a rain the night after they finished the job, and Ilya came by to check things over, to make sure everything was OK. Ilya communicated well throughout the job process and was always available to answer questions, even on the weekends. I called and texted Ilya with questions and he responded quickly. He also personally came by every work day to check on the progress. The next big rainstorm will be a real test to ensure walls and ceilings are definitely staying dry, though I have faith in their work and very confident in their repairs. During the heavy storms of early 2023, our home took on a lot of water damage, and we decided to replace the rear siding and roof of our house. After getting many, many quotes we decided on Reliable Construction. My wife and I make a reasonable living here, but are far from "tech IPO money" that a lot of contractors base their pricing on, which is incredibly frustrating while searching for bids. They were one of the few contractors seemed honest and quickly provided a reasonable price that didn't include a ludicrous markup. Ilya (the boss), Sergie (the PM) and Alejandro (the carpenter) were all extremely professional to work with and flexible throughout the process. Sergie worked with me on several mid-project changes, and even brought over some of his construction reference books to explain exactly what was being done and how they would accomplish it - I can't express how much this meant. I don't think I ever waited more than an hour, at any time of day/night, to receive a response from Ilya with any questions or concerns I had. I've used Ilya for 2 full remodels -- first on the downstairs unit of my duplex back in 2016, and then again for renovating the upstairs unit in 2021-2022. When you work with Ilya, it is best to have all materials picked out because when he starts he is very fast! He has multiple crews of subcontractors so they keep the project moving. Because his crew has so much experience, they can deal with any issue that comes up during construction. For our project, the city made us do a seismic retrofit which involved lots of complications, but his crew was able to handle everything. We used Quality Painting & Construction as part of our remodel, including for painting, patching a few spots and drywall repairs. The team did a great job of repairing drywall that had been removed for some electrical work. It was impossible to identify where the drywall was cut after they fixed the drywall and repainted the walls because they matched the stucco perfectly and the new drywall piece was alligned perfectly. The team led by Noel also was able to match the exact color while patching our staircase railings and doors. They also took the time to make sure that stucco, primer and the first coat was properly dry before applying the next coat by using fans and heaters.
