Short version: I had a couple-year-old chip on my car that was from an incident in California before my move to Texas. It was a small elongated sliver about 1/2 inch long and due to the moisture after being in San Antonio for 6 months, rust started to form underneath and crack the paint. After a botched "fix" that included a messy repaint and primer splatter, I took my car in to Kelli who was extremely quick to respond with an estimate and was very accommodating of my busy work schedule. In 45 minutes, my car was ready and I couldn't be more happy with the results. While she was honest from the get-go about the car not looking brand new, it was miles better than when I bought it in and is hardly noticeable. She was even able to remove more of the primer splatter and worked her magic so that the surrounding area had a sheen restored to it. Best part? She didn't charge me anything more than the original quote. Long version/back story: I get that the paint chip was in an area that wasn't very visible nor was it a huge eyesore to anyone but myself, however I was freaked out about the underlying rust spreading. I initially visited a body shop where the mechanic told me that in order to get the car looking good again, I would need to replace the panel and that would run me about $1500. I believe it was a genuinely honest opinion as he gauged that I wanted to see perfection in my luxury vehicle again, and no one would be able to provide that for me after sanding off the rust. When I pressed him further, he advised against any work on it and mentioned that the rust would continue to spread but at such slow speeds that I would have sold the vehicle before it would become an issue anyway. In the meantime, he said I should use clear coat nail polish. I sat on that idea for few days before turning to Yelp and found Kelli at Quality Sprayless Scratch Repair. Previous owners were a bit rough with it before i bought it, swirl marks from drive in washes, scratches that were untreated and a couple of botched chip repairs. QSSR was able to undo all of that and make my 2015 Corvette look like a 2019 that's showroom ready. Took my 2017 Lincoln Continental to Quality SSR looking to have scratches and swirls removed and some chips in the paint repaired. $300 is way cheaper than painting the entire car. My 2015 Accord was taken in for a touch-up repair on the rear bumper after it was hit by a runaway grocery cart at the Brook Hollow Shopping Center. Kelli discovered that the right tail light lens was cracked. She also found other scratches and performed the touch ups. I can highly recommend this shop for touch-up work. For parking lot dings, you may need to take your vehicle by Dent Dawg first, another top-notched shop, to have the dent removed. If any touch-up work is needed, then your next shop should be Quality SSR. Overall, this is the best approach -- avoid the expensive body shop work. Decided to skip the big repair shops and try a small shop, mainly because the scratches on the front portion of my bumper were minimal. She woman and owner who meet me when I arrived, cannot remember her name, was very respectful and real candid. I was also impressed with how she kept of her shop in her waiting area very clean very inviting which I thought was a nice change from some of the places I've gone through quotes. But what really mattered was the work and the person behind it. And as for that she managed to get rid of the scratches best she could of course I understood the bumper was plastic and it was rather deep but I can barely see it now and also she was more than willing to give me quotes and some information as well as to what may have caused some of the damage around the car. Overall I felt like I was talking to a friend rather than someone I was doing business with which I think is always a positive note.
