The manager Louiea seemed to want to help me, however they kept saying they would come and after a few no shows they finally came and fixed the issue. I DeWayne came out, tested the water, and recommended a whole house system. It was not cheap, but the system was to take care of impurities AND carbon with this single unit. Seemed reasonable so we agreed.There were few problems with the system in the beginning, but he was responsive and worked with the manufacturer to get it stabilized. Or so we thought. Six months later, the system had issues again and DeWayne was not answering his phone and it seemed his company, America's Water Doctor was out of business. I called the manufacturer Pacific Source direct and was told the warranty is only issued to the installed. The is NO warranty to the consumer at all. Today, 4 years later, I am looking for a new water softener and guess who shows up? Yep, DeWayne opened Water Factory Outlet in Meridian, ID. I called and left message for DeWayne - but, alas, no return call. He is lickity-split fast to sell you a system. Not no fast to respond on service. You decide for yourself what is important to you. If you want the system but not the service, this guy is for you. Be sure to call the manufacturer about his terrific warranty, too. Ask them if the warranty is issued to the consumer or only to the installer. I just hope I help others from getting scammed by this guy. Oh, and why 2 stars, not one? The unit itself was good, it is the "disappearance" of the installer that's bad.

Sitting on my fingers, figuratively speaking, for months before posting these comment but seeing…read moreSam M's this morning about his experience with this HVAC company, I think he used the word scam, I feel the need to say we had a similar experience last year. Here is our story. I won't go as far as saying it is a scam. I will say it was a disappointing experience that caused us to lose faith in Ultimate, although to that point they had been our contracted service company for twice a year maintenance inspections. During one of their routine check up visits last year, the technician told my husband that there were serious things wrong and we needed a new unit. He said that a sales guy would be in touch with us to follow up to make selection for a new unit. We were astounded because the unit was less than 10 years old, we have 3 zone heating and cooling in a custom built home home, we are meticulous about maintenance. We heard from the sales guy a day or two later, he came to our home and met with my husband and I listened to the discussion while working on other things. The sales guy was very nice but this is not our first rodeo, as the saying goes, given this is our fourth custom home where HVAC units were installed to serve multiple zones so my husband had a number of good questions and the answers were vague. We had no reason to distrust Ultimate at that point, but with an almost $25K estimate to install a new unit, we needed a second opinion by a qualified HVAC business. So we called another company we used during an emergency after a water leak that required the restoration company to have the HVAC unit to be removed and replaced. We used that company then because Ultimate couldn't fit us in to their schedule. That other HVAC company did a great job during the emergency so we asked them to come look at our unit. They did and issued a clean bill of health. We are loyal customer types and would have stayed with Ultimate forever in the service contract we renewed with them every year for twice yearly check ups on our HVAC. But after that experience, we switched our annual contract over to this other company. I'm going to give them credit for the years they did the the two seasonal checkups years on our HVC. So I'll post 2 stars with that credit in mind. But I don't think Sam M's 1 star is wrong.

I was very pleased with the technicians and that they found that everything was OK. Because of that visit, I signed up for their monthly membership. I called to have the plumbing side of my membership done today was a very pleased when Bryce arrived and on time. He is very knowledgeable about plumbing. I needed a couple of new parts and he installed them quickly and neatly. I highly recommend this company from their front office to the servicemen.
