Outage has been ongoing for over 7 days now. There is zero communication with anybody.Because when you call they tell you, you have an outage and then hang up on you. Emails telling you that it will be look back on at a certain time. And then at that exact minute, it tells you that it's still an outage. quantum fiber internet is the worst! our quantum internet went down last thursday night. i spent all friday morning on 5 different phone calls. all customer service reps were from some other country and i could not understand any of the service reps! they finally decided that i needed a new terminal which would be sent to me in 7 to 14 days! when you have a smart home everything is connected to the downed quantum internet, e.g. the furnace went down, all computers down, home security system is down, cellular phone service has been minimal. nothing works without internet! i told quantum waiting 2 weeks for quantum to replace a terminal is unacceptable! i asked for overnight delivery, they answered nope! well luckily i searched and found tds which does provides 24 hour service if your internet goes down! today they come to install the new system! quantum just lost my business. furthermore, quantum had just charged my credit card for this months service!! no quantum does not give refunds even though they are not providing any service!! quantum fiber internet is a horrible company without any understandable customer service agents!! read more

Do NOT use this internet service. They illegally will not connect you with a manager when there is an issue. Overseas call center drag out their call scripts with you until you a blue in the face. When they finally say they will connect you with their "supervisor " you wait on hold for 30 mins just to get disconnected. This has happened 3 times. I'm at a loss of what to do because we can't get a technician to show up at our home. They've canceled 3 appointments DURING the appointment window. They reschedule you and then do it again. We can't get a technician to show up to our home. They buried our cable and won't come back to connect the internet. read more

In Centerville, UT. I was excited to switch over from Centurylink. However, the technician they sent out was an idiot. Their website clearly shows the different options available to install fiber internet. The technician tried to argue with me for 40 minutes saying the only option is to open my wall and drive cords through the studs in the wall. I showed him the company website showing the options and he stuck his nose in the air saying that is wrong information. I told him to pack up and cancel the job. If you are going to lie to my face and try to argue with me when I am calm, then Quantum Fiber is not worth wasting my time. read more

Wish I could give negative stars. Absolute trash. They came to install internet on August 31st. He said he couldn't do it because he needed neighbors backyard access and they weren't home. So he just up and left. Didn't leave a card or schedule a new date with me. Just took off. So I had to get a hold of quantum (which is borderline impossible) and schedule a new date. They couldn't come for 10 more days. Then the technician gets here, takes about 5 hours to install and it didn't even work. So I get a hold of them AGAIN. They can't come out for a week to see what's wrong with it. I told them to forget it. Absolute garbage. I can't think of a worse customer service experience I've ever had. No body ever showed up and who ever was supposed to come reported it as "unable to access the house" and then we were trying to get a hold of someone and they said they couldn't send someone out for 2 days. We attempted to install fiber with this company. They were unwilling to install in the garage or laundry room.

We ordered Quantum Fiber Internet and Connected Voice service. The Installer showed up on time last Tuesday and did a good job running cable and placing the equipment inside and outside the house. Saturday morning there was no dial tone on the land line so I called Quantum's Customer Service and talked with several people that spoke as if English is not their first language and were very hard to understand. They were unable to help me but opened a ticket in an office that has Monday through Friday hours for Voice related problems. I checked with Quantum's customer service today regarding a call back from the land line office and yes I am still on the list with an open ticket. On our order Connected Voice is an option and we are being charged for it but upon looking at the new equipment there is no place to plug in a phone. Connected Voice requires a separate converter that uses an Ethernet port on the router and has a typical R J11 phone jack . The Internet service seems to work well but Quantum Fiber Customer Service is dismal. How can a telecommunication company provide 9-5 weekday only service with service desk workers that have limited communication skills ? read more

Customer service is not good. In the last 2 weeks we've had issues with the internet going out. The first time we were on hold for a long time but the internet started working again. It went out again last and we were on the phone for hours with tech support who said they needed send a tech out to us and it would be a week. We work from home and cannot wait a week. They told they could have someone out today but our confirmation email said next week. We called again this morning and again were told someone would out later today. My daughter has been without service for 6 days and she works from home. Quantum gives no explanation, have been absolutely clueless over the phone and chat. One tech had her reset her equipment to factory settings, when it was not her equipment, the outage was still causing the problem. Now she needs a tech to come out and help her with the reset. Do not go with this company!!! We have been trying to use them 8 months and have not had reliable internet that entire time. Their equipment doesn't work, their wires fell dangerously across the ally behind our house multiple times, and every time you need customer service you have to try for hours to get through to a solution with someone. We had people come out to fix our internet at least 6 times and the problem was never solved. We went to xfinity and without any trouble-shooting whatsoever we have 3 bar WiFi throughout the entire house. Quantum fiber's self-installing WiFi extender pods needed someone were faulty and couldn't be set up without someone from the company to come out every time. They even made me do a song and dance with every extender pod that I ordered to prove--yet again--that their self-instal pods don't work. They would not offer any kind of refund for the months wasted or any proration for the month that we canceled our plan. I should have known, because their people when we were also looking to set up the WiFi at our house were pushy and weird. Massive waste of time, effort, and money. I have no idea how this horrible company hasn't gone out of business. They want me to return their hardware via mail and not even the link to do that worked. read more

I would not suggest getting Quantum Fiber internet if you live in an apartment. It is a little misleading when it says it is fiber internet when it actually isnt when it comes into your unit. The strength varys hourly and daily with even on the handline it does not reach the advertised 940 mbps. I have had Metronet before moving here and was very pleased with the 2 gbps speeds with no drops. I am looking forward to moving out of here and into the house I'm purchasing where google fiber is available. read more

Quantum fiber has left the cable strung across the property stating someone would come to bury the line. 2 months later the cable has not been buried and multiple phone calls has done no good. Cancelled and went with Google. They were out the next day to run the fiber to the outside of the house prior to installation appointment. They did a great job burying it 3-4 inches deep in the grass. Quantum runs fiber line from 2 houses away (the main box) then leaves the job unfinished. Horrible customer service. read more

My prior service went up $35 dollars a month after a two year deal. My in-laws had switched to Quantum and had been happy, so decided to try it for the $50 price for 500 mbps. I have used the service for a little over a month. I just cancelled and went back to prior service. I'll pay more for reliable service, as I work from home and can't have dropped meetings and calls, and slow internet. The service was just too unreliable. One minute I had great service of 500 mbps, then the next I had 3 mbps, or service would disconnect. I did troubleshooting with the support team several times doing resets. It would work fine for a few hours then would start reducing speeds and disconnecting. Finally had enough and just cancelled, as they couldn't get a technician out for several days. Before i switched over i never had a problem with you tube loading pages. now i do, its slow. I never had a problem with loading web sites. now i do.
