Forgot to take a picture tonight because I went with my girlfriend's daughter but again, excellent old school diner feel and food. I had a roast beef open face sandwich which was on special and was very good. The child had a grilled cheese and fries and loved it. Got a mushroom and Swiss for Laura on take out and she says it's excellent too. Always a young staff but they're good at what they do. When in a new town I always look for a recommendation from a local...my guess is you do the same whenever possible. A local business contact recommended the Quarterback Club when my buddy asked for a good place for lunch. He hit it right on the nose...a friendly, smiling staff that checked on us throughout our visit and a large menu that included a number of value priced daily specials. Plus, all this was offered in a spotless, pleasant seating area. My Swiss burger w/ fries and my buddy's Hot turkey daily special (see photos) arrived quickly, hot and tasty. We both agreed that we'll stop at the QB Club on our next trip to Northfield. Nothing fancy but fresh food in a place endorsed by the local folks. Give it a shot! read more

I always try to make this a weekly stop in the dinner/lunch rotation because the food is delicious and the service is amazing. It's counter style ordering and the specialties are burgers and fried chicken. The staff will bring your order right to your table, so no need to wait at the counter, unless you are ordering to go. There is ample seating inside and also tables outside.. I've never had to wait more than a few seconds at the counter until an employee happily takes my order. Finally, a business that is well staffed! There is a hometown feel with daily newspapers available for reading. I've always had a pleasant experience here and the consistent high level of service will keep me coming back. read more

The Menu is extensive, lots to keep everyone happy from me who likes vegetables (multiple salad choices) to the burger lovers and onion ring lovers and French friends lovers and BLT lovers. I was very disappointed when I asked an employee if the burgers are "made to order." She said they are not. So, in other words, they are cooked on a grill, then placed in a warmer and doled out when someone orders a burger (much like what McDonalds and Burger King does). The burger I got one time actually tasted like a BK burger. Not at all like what I expected. As much as I would like to support a small local restaurant, from now on I will have to head up the street to get a "made to order" burger. read more

I like the options of this place, the burgers are great, the chicken dinner is great, the service is great, I didn't care much for the salads but they weren't bad. I love going to the quarter back club, they have great broasted chicken! I would have given them five stars but they have Pepsi products. The prices are fair, and food is good. I was starving after my hockey game and came across this family business diner. I walk in and immediately the service is great, I am greeted with smiles and kindness. I order a burger with onion rings and it comes out in less than 5 minutes. The burger is perfectly cooked and has the right amount of lettuce, tomato, and onion! I have been to the Quarterback Club many times over 40 years. The food is always good. The disappointment factor comes in where they nickle an dime you for a refill of pop. I ordered a fish kids meal for my daughter on Saturday, November 22 and tartar sauce doesn't come with a kids meal even though it did the last time we were there. Now they charge 27 cents for tartar sauce. Since when doesn't a piece of fried fish come with tarter sauce? The server who brought out our food told me "I'm sorry, but tarter isn't included that will be an extra 27 cents". How many times do you think she has gotten chewed out from customers about all of the extra charges? Ridiculous to put your employees and customers through that. Raise your prices and include everything or be more transparent about pricing. read more

Dine in, carry out, a patio with umbrellas on the tables, bring your food to you/pick up your dishes, & are attentive. Don't let their small size fool you, because they pack a lot into it with their big menu! They have a breakfast/brunch menu, a variety of burgers & baskets, burger special, dinners & baskets, big sandwich menu including Hoagies & croissants, soup & salads, a nice side order menu, a nice variety kids menu, broasted chicken buckets to go, a nice variety of shake flavors, daily specials, they even have cookies & doughnuts at the counter.
