Staff was nice and very attentive. My daughter had the chicken wrap, my wife the western burger, and I had the cuban sandwich. My daughter and wife enjoyed their entrees and the quality of the food was decent. My only complaint (admittedly nitpicking) is that cuban sandwiches are not typically served on sub bread and served open face. Service is usually always fast and they are attentive on filling up your drinks. Food has always been great, except for one wing Wednesday when the wings were a mushy mess. They did offer a free slice of cheesecake for the mishap. (My husband and I frequent wing Wednesday and these were definitely an off day!) haven't been since they redid the inside but it's like a firehouse station. Very neat and they have a great patio. Disappointed! This is my third time and last. Food is just okay but expensive for what it is. Service has always been very slow. We even heard the host tell a couple to go and wait in their car when they arrived 5 minutes early on their reservation. We were hoping after being away for a year that things might have improved but not so much. So much potential and a nice atmosphere. If this place was managed right it could have a lot of potential. I don't review places but I feel like I have to post this. Maybe I had a random event here but there were so many issues I won't be going back. Took 10 minutes to get anyone over to even take a drink order. 20 minutes later the drinks showed up (nothing special, lemonade and root beer), Appetizer (fried pickle thing) took 40 minutes. 2 sandwiches and a burger took over an hour and were cold when they came out. Mac n cheese was the consistency of glue because it was old. It wasn't even busy, 2pm on a Sunday and the place was half empty. Took over 40 minutes to get our food (two burgers, a French Dip and a pasta entrée). When we complained, the food magically appeared, but the burgers had clearly been sitting in the back for some time. This is by far the worst place I have ver been. If I could rate zero stars I would. I go to restaurants 5-7 times a week. I have been here twice and both times I have been supremely disappointed. The first time it took an hour to get a burger and fries. The second time (thinking the first time was a fluke) ordered nachos. After 30 minutes they delivered the wrong nachos (our bar neighbors accepted them) and after 45 minutes I left without eating. Please don't waste your time here. read more

We were out for a motorcycle ride one evening last summer and dropped in for a bite. It happened to be a Thurs night and their burgers were all $3 off!!! So we ordered burgers & beers. Burgers were hot, juicy, and full of flavor. I believe we had sweet potato fries as well which not many people offer any more and I love them. Despite only having 1 server for the entire restaurant, the service was still pretty good, a bit slower, but awesome for only 1 person. We had multiple rounds of good beer! Selections from all over the Midwest including KC and local MSP. The food was good as well, we had the California burger and wings (half off wings on Wednesday). The wings were advertised as jumbo wings but were the tiniest things I ever did see. The sauce made the wings better. I would come back to dine here, good local bar in New Market. read more

Tried the Firehouse Grill again for something different. We both ordered versions of the California burger with cheddar & bacon for a $9 Junior (single patty) and $11 regular (two patty's). I'd say the patty's were 3 ounces before cooking, becauase they were dwarfed by the bun, and ended up looking like a slighlly thicker double-arches hamburger. White bread bun, one strip of bacon cut in half, and a fried on the flatop hamburger. A bummer for both of us. We probably won't return here. Has potential, but doesn't cut it. We have driven by this location many times and finally decided to give the place a try. Walking in, you are greeted by high ceilings, brick, and old firehouse memorabilia. Very cool. The place is very clean and well maintained. Our server was very nice and attentive and checked back with out table multiple times. The place doesn't have much for options, they keep it simple. Burgers, sandwiches, appetizers, and a few dinner options. My wife tried the Pizza Burger while I opted for the AYCE fish fry. The fish was very good. Beer batter was crisp and the fish was well cooked, especially when you got a new piece hot out of the fryer. The coleslaw was not very good at all, but overall the meal was good. My wife's burger on the other hand was not very good. It was a beef patty, sausage patty, and should have been covered in marinara. It was lightly covered with the sauce, so we asked for more, which is a shame because the sauce was amazing. The sausage patty looked like one of those flat breakfast sausage patties, was cooked until tough and chewy, and not very good, . My wife wasn't too satisfied with her burger, which is sad because burgers should be easy comfort foods, like pizza! Overall, not bad but not really impressed either. New Market doesn't have many dining options so we might be back again, but we will skip the Pizza Burger, maybe for some but not us. Try the bacon and peanut butter burger instead! read more

The Bloodies flight is a must!! Then when you find the ones you like you can mix them!! My fav is garlic jalapeño bloody!! Their breakfast is delicious! UPDATE 4/8/2015: My wife and I decided to give this another shot since the ownership has changed. The ownership change was absolutely for the better. Our food was excellent, try the bacon bleu burger, and my wife thought the fries were amazing. Glad to see this turnaround, a small town like ours needs more places like this! Review 2/7/2015: Place was good when it first opened, not sure what happened but its been downhill ever since. Ordered a burger(medium) and fries tonight, the burger came out red, not pink, to the point that it was turning my bun red(gross) the bacon was flimsy and all fat and the fries were bland and soggy. My Husband and I, on 2 separate occasions have been serves raw hamburgers. Ordered our toddler chicken strips, they are so hard and over cooked they were not even edible. I have tried the Mac and cheese and it was dry, and hard. It was like it was cooked awhile ago and just thrown into the oven to re-heat. I was visiting friends in Eden Prairie Minnesota for the weekend and we were on the motorcycles. Friend tells us he's taking us for breakfast and Bloody's. Sounds good to me! It was a great ride there, around 45 minutes or so. Got to Firehouse right after it opened. We were greeted at the bar by Joe. From my friends recommendation, I ordered their Bloody Mary Flight. Yes, a FLIGHT. 4 decent sized samples of their own recipes. Garlic, Jalapeno, Horseradish and regular. All were awesome. Garlic was my favorite. Then it was time for breakfast. There were some tough choices, but I went with the Prime Rib Hash. WOW. Outstanding! Filled me up and was delicious! I would definitely go back! read more

Neat atmosphere. We sat in a booth which is super private compared to most places where other people's kids are poking their heads over the booth. They also have a dog friendly patio. We stopped in about 4:30 on a Thursday so it was quiet. Thursday's the special is $3 off burgers so we were swayed to order burgers. We also got the Pickles Supreme for an appetizer. Amazing. I went with the Poutine burger, delicious. My boyfriend got the 4 alarm burger, which must've been fiery since he had to remove one of his 'alarms' (fresh jalapeños)! My husband and I moved to New Market about a year and a half ago. The night we looked at our new house about 2 years ago was our first time going to this establishment. It was okay at the time but over priced for a burger that was so so. We tried another time for my sons 21st Bday for drinks and we had maybe 5 drinks beer and a few mixed and the bill was over 50$. We waited for 45 minutes for the drinks after ordering and there was us, one other table and a couple of people at the bar and that was it with three waitresses! Our Third trip in, we live close and there is nothing else around, was interesting and rude all together. With new management from what we heard we thought we would give it a shot. My chicken and wild rice soup was brothy not creamy and had almonds on top of it that were raw not even toasted. Me and my husband were sitting at the bar and the manager interrupted a conversation we were having and asked me something. We both looked at her and and said "sorry what did you say?" and she turns and looks at my husband and says "I wasn't talking to you I was talking to her" We were both flabbergasted at her rudeness to say the least. Tonight we gave it another go. I had a bowl of "clam chowder" soup and the hubby had the 4 alarm burger. My soup was like opening a can of progresso except I think Progresso clam chowder is at least white. It was more like a can of chicken noodle soup with clams thrown in it. Not chowder at all! My husbands so called for alarm burger was not for alarm at all but rather like a burger from Mcdonalds with a jalapeno thrown on it. He said it had absolutely no flavor at all. We decided against drinks since they don't list a price for a beer or mixed drink and last we did that we payed the price. They do have Surly on tap but not much else. It's sad really we just don't understand how a restaurant in a town with no competition is going through at least the third owner since we have lived here. It has beautiful decor sometimes good waitresses. Our waitress was great tonight. It has a beautiful patio and fire pit but the food sucks and so does the management. Lets hope the soon to be new owners get it right we need somewhere to eat good food! As we were leaving to walk back home I noticed two young men standing outside the side door to the kitchen smoking and they were coughing up a luggie and spitting on the ground probably not something you want your customers walking in the front door to see or hear! So surprised by this restaurant! We had fantastic service (they had 2 waitresses and were very busy for lunch)! Those girls were honestly awesome - fast and friendly service for how busy they were! Lots of patrons in uniform and I have deep fire department roots so it was such a great atmosphere! We are Nebraska Cornhuskers fans coming home from a crushing defeat at the hands of the Minnesota Rodents. We weren't in the best frame of mind and anxious to get out of the state and back home to a more favorable environment. We were on our way when the lunch hungreys attracted us. We stopped at a Crackerbarrel and was informed of a 30 + wait. Not good, so we continued down the road and stumbled upon Firehouse Grille mostly be chance. It's 3 or 4 miles off the interstate but more than worth it. There were 5 of us and all our meals were "top notch ". I can definitely recommend the Olive Burger made with cream cheese. Such a cool place, has a bunch of firefighting decor. Lots of beer on tap! We have mostly done take-out and it's always been good! I wasn't the biggest fan of the side salad my lettuce seemed soggy in some parts and then frozen in others. HOWEVER literally everything else I've had has been amazing so they more than deserve 5 stars.
