It's weird that I can like the other Quarterdecks so much but not this one. Service is pretty slow and not too friendly, and you get some really unbelievably loud people yelling their heads off in the place. I know it isn't exactly a fine dining place, I expect some noise, but jeez, the crowd here is really d-baggish. Food is okay, not great, like the other Quarterdecks. Not good. Went in for lunch looking for a healthy piece of fish. First, the restaurant is dirty. It smells musty as though the a/c isn't working properly. The carpet is filthy. Been coming here for a year and a half now for some post-exam fun. They have tons of indoor and outdoor seating so you never really have to wait. They have pretty decent prices for their drinks and a good selection of draft beers to choose from. They recently added new cocktails to their menu and I must say, they are tasty and give you a nice buzz. My favorite of their new drinks include the strawberry lemonade, the blue & gold, and the mango mojito. These new cocktails range anywhere from $7-12, but there's always happy hour so stop by and try them out! The food here is like at any other Florida bar, but they do have one gem of an item that I always get: tater tots. I don't know what they do to cook them, but they always come out super light and crispy. You won't get weighed down by an insane amount of grease. They also have good portion sizes so you get a bang for your buck. Overall this is a good place for a quick drink and munchies. If I could give a zero I would. The hostess asked us where we wanted to sit and suggested the patio and we said the patio is fine. I have my service dog with me and showing. Hostess even asked to pet her. We were sat outside and another waitress came up saying you can't sit here I have a private party. Ok no problem sit us inside. Third waitress comes out and says sorry you can't sit inside you have a dog. My husband says let's leave. I told her and showed her she is a service dog and that we told the hostess and no problem. This is poor customer service! They should of communicated and known the patio was closed. We specifically came here today because I wanted to support breast cancer. I even told the waitress as We we're leaving btw it's illegal to refuse to sit someone because they have a service dog. My dog is well behaved, trained and never have we had issues before. This is the best neighborhood bar in Davie. Too bad we moved to North. We have a business in Davie too so we come in as mush as we can while we are down here. I can't believe how the food tasted. I ordered a chicken soup and it tasted like toilet water no flavor at all. Then I order a half of rack of ribs and it was a half of a half and wasn't the best over cooked. The chicken wings was the worst I ever had. I wish I took a picture of it. The cooks needs to be retrained or make better food. If you want great food go to twin peaks or Flanagan. The best ribs in town is rock n roll ribs in 4651 N State Road 7 The best of the best. The manager need to go there and see for themselves what food should taste like. I just can't believe how people eat there. I will never go back and recommend it to my friends and family. Chicken fingers came out burnt three times tonight. Did not see or hear from any manager nor anyone that really cared about the poor food quality. I've only been here once, but I have to rave about their specials menu. I was craving seafood one night while driving down University with my husband, so we pulled into the Quarterdeck to check it out. Pros: low-key ambience, cool aquarium, happy hour buckets of beer. But the best part was that we only paid $9.99/each for 1lb of snow crab legs. It was delicious, and they were cooked perfectly. Our total bill was less than $30 for a bucket of beer and our meals. Can't beat that. Cons: there was a child's birthday party going on while we were there, and this evil-looking clown stared at me the whole time. Between the loud children and the creepy clown, I was just skeeved out. I don't know if the clown is provided by The QD or if the family hired her, but still, that sort of put a damper on my experience. read more

It was a lucky day! Being tourists, we were looking for something great but expecting little as we walked into this restaurant. The lunchtime ambience is that of empty sports bar, with a few stragglers and regulars throughout. Our dozen raw oysters were big and tasty! Better yet, the lobster bisque and the New England clam chowder was out of this world! It stands in stark contrast to the red lobster nearby, where their lobster bisque and clam chowder ran a distant third. Brunch review: went for a Sunday brunch and we had a large group so we understood the server was going to be very busy. She did an amazing job refilling mimosas and taking food orders when she could (I wish I got her name again before leaving so I can give her props). With a little over 1 hour remaining on the AYCD mimosas we were notified that the restaurant ran out of champagne. Okay things happen. We asked her to ask the manager what our other options are as we pay for the full 11-3 unlimited. The manager came out and was extremely rude and essentially blamed us for the restaurant running out of champagne and was upset that we brought a large party. After some back and forth he begrudgingly offered rose as a solution which we were fine with, but the manner in which it was handled was very poor and told us that's what you can get, take it or leave it. Despite the packed house all food came out great and our server worked her butt off, but the manager on Sunday 11/7 was terrible. He also could have been helping his server working as hard as she could but we never saw him once helping with food or drinks. read more

I never had the Tuna Philly, but I'm sure to try it after reading the other reviews. Some time ago I had the Pork Osso Bucco which was moist, tasty, tender, and just out of this world! I've ordered it quite a number of times since and unfortunately, was terribly disappointed. It had become consistently tougher, dry, and less tasty (the server staff agreed with me that it had changed). Not to be dissuaded, I have tried and found that they make an excellent Bacon Cheeseburger, and their Lobster Bisque soup is superb, so I remain a fan. Although I am not a huge fan of sports bar, I happen to like the Quaterdeck. Every time I go, I like to sit outside. The tables outside are picnic style with rocking chairs (you have to see it to understand). They have 2 for ones happy hour but it only applies to the house wines. Also, when you sit outside, you have to deal with the smokers. Although, I usually do not mind something about foods and cigarettes is kind of gross. read more

I decided to try this location after having eaten at another location many years ago. The waitress was excellent and she checked on me and refilled my drinks often. The place was really packed because there was a UFC fight on pay-per-view so I imagine a lot of folks came to eat and watch the fight. I ordered the full rack of ribs with a baked potato and started with a caesar salad. The salad was really good and they give you a pretty big salad for only $2.99 with an entree. The ribs were not great and had more fat on them then I would have wanted. I think I'll probably stick to the burgers and wings from now on. Smokey Bones...50 min wait...Chili's...45 min wait...Flanigan's...45 min wait...Buca...50 min wait....Quarterdeck right next to Buca? no wait. We should have seen the sign. The place is clean, staff is nice. It was cool out, and we were immediately seated outside. I've stopped here for a few drinks at the bar & the bar staff has always done a good job...but I'm pretty sure the most I've eaten here is a couple appetizers. Last night we ordered calamari, 2 different burgers (both medium) & a blackened dolphin san. The sides for the burgers were tater tots & mac n chz (by far, the 2 best parts of the meal). Both burgers were well done and the fish san was over cooked & dry too. The calamari...apparently they dont know that the tentacles cook much faster than the rings do. The rings were just a bit overcooked but the tentacles were horribly chewy. I spit it out. The 10 yr old son was too hungry to complain about his burger & ate 3/4 of it. The 14 yr old daughter ate 2 bites. We all ate the tater tots & mac n chz. Apparently they do have a good happy hour...even on a Saturday night ( 2 4 1) which would be the only reason I would return. Strike three. This was my third time here and it just gets worse. The first time the server spent most of her time with some regulars and was too busy with them to bring my side orders. The second time I ordered an appetizer and they brought me the main course first. This last time, it took about ten minutes for my server to even acknowledge that I was there. I ordered conch fritters which were burnt. I was starving so I ate them but decided not to order anything else and just close out. Thar was another mission. Oh my God where do I begin from the time I walked in I felt like a true customer where the hostess showed me to my seat, which was she asked me I said well I can't decide between indoor outdoor so she was like well we have a mix of both! Which was perfect I sat right next to where the outside area was it but also in the restaurant and was so nice. My waiter name was Josiah and oh my gosh he asked me how my day was he gave me recommendations on the food based upon his references. The amazing the manager came over to ask me how the food was and I told him the food was perfect everyone was so nice and it felt good because I know during this pandemic everyone so busy and the staff is short. It didn't feel that way at those establishment. It was just an amazing experience and the food oh my gosh I got tacos rice and beans and I got some fries because it's my cheat day everything was amazing. Wow! I came here today for a party and was blown away by the amount of people. The staff at the bar had one bartender ....she was doing well until the party grew larger and the happy hour crew came in. It was a bother for drinks most of them were made with pure juice! She told one person they had no Prosecco and then it was brought over by the waitress when we asked her for it! You don't do that! Make the drinks and you never know who is a yelper or another bartender KELLI so next time be more aware of who your serving or ask another team member for help if you can keep up with 100 orders at once. read more

My wife and I enjoy the food and service at Quarterdeck restaurants in South Broward County with the exception of the Davie location. For the second time in the past four weeks, we have had a bad experience at the Davie location on University Drive. At approximately 4:30 pm on May 5th, the hostess sat us at a table on the patio as we requested. After ten minutes and feeling invisible, I had to go inside and request a server be sent to our table. After another few minutes, the hostess took our order. After 25 minutes my order arrived however, my wife's did not for another ten minutes. I requested the manager come to our table which he did. He was useless. We will not return to the Davie location. read more

The building is a stand alone with a decent sized lot. I came with a pretty large party, probably about 20 people. We sat on the patio and had to arrange our tables ourselves. It was a hot afternoon and the patio was equipped with a lot of fans, none of which seemed to be working. The patio cover is bright orange, so I highly suggest sunglasses. Even with them on, it was hard to see. Our waitress had an attitude from the moment she walked up to our table. She didn't introduced herself, just said "what do you want?" She couldn't even pretend to be nice. When people asked questions about the menu, she would roll her eyes and answer grudgingly. After we all ordered, most of the food came out quickly. Of course, mine didn't. I ordered a cheeseburger, which I thought was simple, but my food came out almost 25 minutes after everyone else's. Someone that ordered spinach dip after the food came out got their dip before I got my burger. When I tried to ask about my food, the waitress interrupted me and said "it's coming." I would have been more patient if when she brought everyone else's meal, I got an update, but she just didn't say anything and made it seem like all the orders were complete. When they started delivering everyone's checks, I finally got my burger. It was really, really good, and the ONLY reason I'm not giving one star. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals and it's unfortunate that poor service and unpleasant staff made the all the difference in my dining experience. Went there tonight due to hearing they had a new menu and better food. I had the pecan crusted chicken salad and my bf had the wings. My chicken was over cooked as well as the wings. I am a seafood lover, so naturally I had to try this place because of those who raved about the lobster bisque... It was good but not amazing I would probably order it again but it's not the best I've ever had next I tried the lobster roll, I don't know what it is about southern states and lobster rolls. They add lettuce and celery, I'm from up north and am not use to the celery and lettuce so when I ordered it I assumed it would be the way I enjoy it since the menu didn't mention the additions to the lobster and mayo. The waitress noticed I was unhappy with my meal and offered to fix it, so I got the sausage and shrimp po boy. WOW what a difference this was really great with different flavors, which I enjoyed. My boyfriend ordered the tuna philly rare. He loved it, I had a few bites and it was fantastic. The service was great out waitress was quick and friendly and the manager was pleasant to talk to and made sure we were happy with our meal.
