I have been an employee at Quattro cafe for over ten years now and I can honestly say I would not work for a company or manager I was not completely behind or proud to represent. I regularly read our Yelp reviews because I care what our customers have to say and are willing to make improvements where it is needed. Sadly people are more likely to write something negative than positive. But we all try to get those positive ones and it's really great when we do. I felt the need to write this review because reading a recent review from A former colleague didn't sit right with me not only do I think it's not right to tear down someone's character it's not right to do so when you don't really know that person. Dominico is the reason a lot of people come in and feel at home he puts his soul and energy in that place and has a huge heart for his employees. I can say from experience he has given me chances when no one else would and I consider him family. Anyone who comes into Quattro and knows him knows that those statements are false. This place has truly LOST ITS LUSTRE. I used to come here all the time with my family or friends while shopping, and the italian dishes used to have such amazing flavor, and the service used to be quite impressive.The last two times I came here, the food was lacking flavor and no longer tasted the way it used to. The food came out late, cold and totally flavorless. The service was also lacking, and the waitors were inattentive. One of the employees who picked up plates from our table ended up spilling tons of olive oil and vinegar all over and inside a shopping bag with brand new clothes. The manager was hardly receptive, and could hardly apologize for the incident. She insisted that we "just take 'em home and wash 'em and see what happens." She even had a sour attitude and a lack for customer service. We will never come back there, and i would definitely not recommend this place. Go somewhere nicer like Charlie Palmer or even Champagne. read more

I recently visited Quatro, and unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience. My group and I sat at the bar, where we were served by Osvaldo. While at the bar, Osvaldo was giving out free drinks, which, as a business owner, I view as stealing. The service quickly became a letdown when we were seated at our table, where things only worsened. The server Pascal was incredibly rude, and we overheard him making offensive remarks, including saying that "those people are cheap." This behavior was not only unprofessional but outright racist, and it completely tarnished our experience. We will be reaching out to South Coast Plaza management to report this issue. The behavior of the staff was completely unacceptable, and these individuals should be fired. They should not be representing Quatro. This was the worst experience we've ever had at this restaurant, and we will not be returning. read more

PERFECT place for lunch or dinner!! The service was quick and the staff were all nice, friendly, and clean (I'm a clean freak/germaphobe) . Although the restaurant is small, I still felt like I had enough privacy to catch up with my friend without the whole world knowing our business. The bread they serve at the beginning was very good with or without the dip that they bring with it, and even better was the Spaghetti Bollgnese that I ordered. I can eat for days so of course I was still hungry and asked to see a dessert menu. Turns out they only have a dessert cart, so our waiter rolled the dessert cart over and our jaws literally dropped. We couldn't settle on one, so I got the Flourless Chocolate Cake and my buddy got the Tiramisu. BOY were we in a food coma afterwards, but it was so worth it. I went here with a group of friends tonight for dinner. I had the calamari which was good, then the filet migon for dinner which was also decent except for the fact that there was a hair in my food. I gave this such a harsh rating because I was so disappointed with the service. I asked to speak with the manager because of the hair in my food. This took him at least a good 20 minutes or longer to come to the table (which also made me more upset) I do not blame the chef, or the server (The poor kid probably felt so horrible and stressed because the manager took forever) Let me add that the restaurant was not even busy! So I have no idea what took him so long, unless he was scared to speak with me but hey, it is your job! would not come here again. I would suggest Maggianos which is across the way. read more

Quattro and their staff are racist!!!!! I would put zero stars if there was an option. Don't go. They are racists and their hostess Bianca or Blanca is racist too with an attitude!!!! This happened on 11/21/20 Long story short, my mom and I were waiting to get seated, were told it would take 15mins but noticed many people after us (non asians and including parties of 2) were getting tables before us. When asked why people who got there after us were getting seated first, the hostess Bianca or Blanca said I could leave if I didn't want to wait and walked away. WTF She clearly looked down on us because we are Asians and didn't even have the decency to explain politely!!! Quattro Cafe was the perfect spot to recharge after a day of exploring and shopping. The staff was attentive and kind, and the food... oh, the food was absolutely incredible! We indulged in a freshly made Margherita pizza and a flavorful Bistecca Sandwich--both were simply to die for. The pizza was prepared to perfection, and when I shared my compliments with our server, they went above and beyond by relaying them to the chef. To my delight, Chef Miriam herself came out to greet us at our table! Such a personal and thoughtful touch made the lunch outing even better. A heartfelt thank you to Chef Miriam for running the kitchen like a well-oiled machine and for creating dishes that are both delicious and memorable. Ooooooooohhhh...the food is so good here, but the service can be a little hit or miss. Especially with the guys who have worked there for forever. I always feel like they're doing me a favor by letting me in, and I've been eating here since it was Armani Cafe about 10 years ago. Maybe that's why there's never a wait? Either way the filet mignon keeps calling me back, and they have La Crema Pinot Noir on their menu, which is so yummy! Just make sure to ask your waiter to bring the check with your entree, and think of ANYTHING you might possibly need when you place your order. Totally worth it if you know how to work around the staff ;-) And the creme brulee rivals the creme brulee at Gulliver's, which I think is the best around!! read more

Went in for the second time. 3 tables(6 people) got up and walked out within 5-10 minutes. When you walk in you are not greeted or acknowledged. We waited 10 minutes for a menu. They weren't even that busy. I've waited tables/tended bar, they were not "slammed" by any means. After waiting for about 15-20 minutes for our food, we decided we'd just like to take it home. Not a huge request. The server didn't even put our order in! And the manager, an Italian guy with attitude. By the way, this is the second time this has happened at this location. Me and my husband have been coming here for quite a few years now. We actually got engaged at their sister location Antonellos, another great restaurant. But Quattro is definitely my favorite because it is a little more intimate yet casual without loosing the great dining experience. Staff is always amazing. Everyone out on the floor to the back of the house where all the magic happens. Dominico is always the best host of making sure everyone is taken care of. Food always meets our expectations whether we are grabbing a quick bite, date night or dinner with friends. A must try at the end of every meal is their espresso martini. I recently had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant for the first time. This is South Coast Plaza gem ! I am so glad we decided to eat here because the calamari here is amazing and I haven't stopped thinking about in ever since we ate here last week. Our waiter's name was a younger guy (maybe mid to late 20's) named Jose. He is the perfect example of how great customer service should be in any restuarant. He was professional, courteous and quick. My first review on YELP! My experience was that amazing I signed in. I went to a special cooking demo event with 24 other women and it was indescribably wonderful. The host and entertainer Domenico led the evening of festivities. He demonstrated how to make stuffed mushrrooms, vodka pasta chicken Picatta and most delicious Tirimasu- we were able to take home the recipes. He sang between courses and there was a wonderful guitarist playing. We all worked off the calories at the end of the evening by dancing in the middle of the restaurant! Best food I love almost everything on the menu! Extremely kid friendly! They treat your kids like family! I honestly have no complaints about this place, lamb is fantastic, carpaccio great!, the salmon is my all time favorite. My husband lives for the spaghetti and meat balls. I'm gluten free so the gluten free pasta is your average gf noodle, but the sauces are outstanding! I went to this restaurant for lunch on Saturday, and I must say, it has become my new favorite place. The lunch I had was fantastic. Our server, Boubou, was very welcoming, attentive, and helpful. She guided us through the menu and gave us some great suggestions. The customer service was exceptional, and towards the end of our meal, the manager, Dominico, came to say hello and check on us.
