    Albacore tostada

This place has such a cute outdoor patio seating area. Love the plant decor. Went around 4 for an early dinner and it wasn't busy. Was seated right away and service was great. The albacore tostado was a perfect start, light and refreshing with a slight kick. The wagyu cheese burger was super juicy and is definitely one of the better burgers I've ever had. And the sticky toffee pudding was pretty good as well, not super sweet, the ice cream helped balance it out. Overall really enjoyed my experience here and would come back to try other menu items.

We came here for lunch and we loved it! This place was so solid and refreshing and the design of this place is very nice and clean and service is nice and friendly. We had their bone marrow pizza, Pork cheek adobo and fried egg, and their albacore tostada. The bone marrow pizza was immaculate! We were pretty filled! Would highly recommend and come here again! Located at the Costa Mesa south coast plaza mall, so plenty of parking!

First time trying Terrace by Mix Mix. I was at the Annual Spring Garden show enjoying all the beautiful plants and doing my plant shopping when I spotted this cute restaurant by the bridge. This restaurant was eye catching and has such a beautiful patio so I knew I had to stop by after my plant haul. I'm glad I did. Everything was excellent. From the customer service we received to all the course options and special menu to the ambiance. I was highly impressed. Thank you to Kenny for being so patient with us. It was our first time, so my Mom and I had lots of questions and a few requests. He did a great job explaining everything and providing the best service. Also big thank you to Abi for her excellent customer service as well. She made us feel so welcomed when we were seated and I asked if we could have to go cups instead of the glass and she brought everything with a great attitude. I highly recommend everyone to try this place at least once because everything was a 10/10. Such a cute little restaurant with great staff. You can tell the owner takes pride in making sure this place gives you the best experience. Great job Terrace by Mix Mix! :)

We were back in CA the last day of OC Resto Week on 3/14 and I was delighted to see a $35 dinner menu at Terrace by Mix Mix. Chef Ross delivered an incredible OC Restaurant Week 3 course dinner for $35 each. We started with the Goat Cheese Toast -- creamy, tangy, balanced -- and the Shrimp Lumpia, which were crisp, light, and paired with a roasted lime aioli. For mains, the Filipino Brunch was the standout: tender pork cheek adobo, garlic rice, sweet longanisa, fried egg and chimichurri that elevated this filipino classic. The Oven‑Steamed Mussels "Sinigang" were authentic -- plump mussels in a tamarind broth with tomato, garlic, steamed with a bread lid which was pretty innovative. Sorry, I thought I took a picture of this dish without the bread lid. Dessert sealed the night: the warm Sticky Toffee Pudding was rich, comforting, and crave-worthy while the Coconut Panna Cotta with tropical fruit and ube ice cream was refreshing and vibrant. Generous portions, beautiful plating, and great service -- an unbeatable Restaurant Week value. There's always something special every week so not a bad idea to sign up for their newsletter.

We recently visited Terrace and had high expectations partly due to the reviews and secondly, I was very curious on how they would execute the filipino dishes. We ordered the filipino brunch which had a little bit of everything (adobo, garlic rice, longanisa, fried egg, chicharon) the wagyu burger and the pizza with the hot honey and longanisa. I think they did a great job on the dishes. My one feedback was that the pizza crust was very soggy, despite other photos looking differently. The ambience is very nice, beautiful set up and surroundings.

10/10, Absolutely spectacular!! Everything was delicious, service was juuust right (not too much and not too little. Thanks Amanda!), ambiance was cute on the patio! There was no wait on a Tuesday night. Give this place a try, you wont be disappointed My husband and I shared one dinner prix fix course ($35), and one additional entree. We both left STUFFED. Garden Salad - 10/10 Soooo refreshing! Absolutely loved having a light, citrus-y salad to start off my meal. The salad to avocado and dressing ratio is perf Shrimp alla Vodka Pasta - 10/10 Perfectly cooked, shrimp juicy and plump, and the pasta was nice and SAUCY! Dry and rubbery pasta? Terrace has never heard of her Margherita Pizza - 9.5/10 MAGICAL DOUGH. so incredibly chewy in the best way possible! The pizza is on the cheesier side, and if I had one teeny thing to nitpick i wish there was a bit more tomato sauce Sticky Toffee Pudding Dessert - 9/10 Incredibly dense, moist, and rich toffee brownie dessert with vanilla ice cream. My husband and I shared this as the right finale. It was delicious, but a bit heavy for our taste. If I were to finish this whole dessert by myself I would be walking out with a new diabetes diagnosis. Dinged off one point because I wish the ice cream didnt melt from the warm plate!

I had a great experience here during OC Restaurant Week. Prior to coming, I didn't know their menu has some Asian influence, which was a nice surprise. I ordered the steamed mussels sinigang, green salad, and sticky toffee pudding off the Restaurant Week menu. The mussels were delicious, especially in sinigang style! It's good when you dip the bread into the sauce. The salad was good and filling. Lastly, the sticky toffee pudding dessert was the perfect way to end with! I only wish the portion for the sticky toffee pudding was bigger. I definitely wanted more of that! Overall, delicious and tasty food enjoyed out on their nicely decorated terrace.

My fiancé and I had a Valentine's dinner this past weekend. The four course meal consisted of: Appetizer Bites - Uni & Wagyu Beef Purple Potato Croquette - Lobster Chawanmushi - Tuna & Tomato Tart - Salmon Tartar & Caviar Cylinder Second Course - Heart Shaped Soft Egg Raviolo with Parmesan & Truffle Brown Butter Third Course - Surf & Turf: American Wagyu Beef with Yuzu Kosho Bearnaise & Miso Glazed Seabass - Twice Baked Potato with Crème Fraiche & Caviar, Asparagus Cream & Oyster Mushrooms Dessert Duo - Tropical Panna Cotta & Chocolate Chip Sticky Coffee Pudding The only thing we wished was that the portions were slightly bigger the food was delicious just small portions, but we figured since it was a pre fixed menu. The service was very helpful and the ambiance was super cute for date night!

Filipino brunch of pork cheeks adobo, longanisa, fried egg and garlic fried rice.

Came here for their Garden Show Prixe Fixe Menu. No table was available but told to come back at 12:30 and the table was ready by then. Ordered first the rose which I wouldn't recommend. Wait staff took my order of shrimp eggroll, Filipino brunch and ube ice cream. Brought my rose and took the order from the next table for 4. While I was waiting, I was reviewing the garden show here in Yelp. I waited and waited. Then the table of 4 started getting their appetizers before me. Waited again and the waiter said he was going to check. My eggroll came hot but was greasy. Didn't care for the aioli with a hint of curry. Of course, the next table started getting their entrees. My Filipino brunch consisted of adobo pork cheeks, longanisa, fried egg and garlic fried rice. I cut into the egg and the yolk melted on the rice. I took a bite of the tender pork cheeks and didn't like the seasoning. There was an aftertaste. Took a bite of the longanisa and it was better, not too sweet. So I was disappointed with the adobo. Then came the wait staff and told me that they run out of the ube ice cream and had to order sorbet instead. I was excited to eat here but felt let down. Also, their water carafes had water spots. I guess it means that they've gone through the dishwasher. I would try them again but probably not order the Filipino inspired dishes.

Right across from the most famous South Coast Plaza where the most expensive rent per square foot in the USA as far as the shopping mall is concerned, there floats a dreamy suspended bridge to another big mall with Macy's Furniture, Pottery Barn Sheets, Casper Hybrids and a small but still the best location and better yet, the best staffs, chef, location and location with the name that says it well: Terrace by Mix Mix. It's pretty place, as some might say that word, Romantic, to describe the idyllic place for two lovers to meet for the nice dinner for date night or for friends to have a nice lunch while shopping for a new Apple Device. The place greets you with their clean open kitchen with display of the well-oiled staff's working in concert: one sous chef grilling, others chopping and main chef making something delicious while the server sits you without you having to wait unlike any other pompous restaurants! It's a place where no nonsense for customers only philosophy is truly practiced in its maximum. The waiters are all extremely well trained and smart with their crafts. They know how to treat their customers with efficient delivery of their best manners in providing the best and most importantly common sense approach: they won't make you wait unnecessarily, gives you choices to sit anywhere open, no bull in telling you what is best that day, and serve you immediately! All beer served in bottles and chilled glasses without question. The dishes come out perfectly clean and absolutely delicious with amazingly efficient and delicious manners! The basic tenant of exact saltiness due to the perfect tastebuds of the Chef is shown on every single dish. The Goat Cheese Toasts and Shrimp Lumpia were the two light snacks that we had: simply amazing! Two craft beer: one Belgian Hoeggarden White, and the other local IPA from San Clemente: Left Coast Trestle IPA were served with perfect foam cap! Delicious and delightful, perfectly located and absolutely deserving the Five Stars!

Came here for a birthday dinner celebration. Servers were very kind and accommodating, as well as taking the time to explain to us their menu as well as the Filipino/European influence from the chef's background. Outside terrace area is very nice and has a good ambiance. We ordered a margarita pizza, shrimp lumpia, and the shrimp alla vodka. Margarita Pizza (3.5/5): This was a solid dish, kind of difficult to mess up since it's very simple. We liked the thin airy crust, and it was very cheesy. Though a lot of the cheese kept sliding off the pizza and made it a bit difficult to eat. Good but not anything mind blowing personally. Shrimp Lumpia (4/5): I really liked the crunchiness and thinness of this lumpia. The shrimp filling was also pretty delicious and the sauce that it came with paired well with the flavors. I do wish we got more of the sauce since it's a very thin spread under the lumpia. Shrimp Alla Vodka (3/5): It tasted more tomato heavy, not as creamy as other vodka sauces I've had. Seasoning was alright, didn't love the taste of this pasta but the shrimp was cooked very well and was supple. Also the pasta was a tad bit undercooked so it was a little hard. They gave us a free dessert for my friends birthday which was very kind! We ordered the sticky toffee pudding and it came out with a lit candle that she got to blow out. This was yummy though keep in mind that the toffee pudding is more akin to a cake than it is a pudding. The cake texture was a little dry though we did like the toffee flavoring in it and the ice cream scoop on top. Wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again though we did really appreciate the service!

    Pork Cheek Adobo

Went here for my mom's birthday brunch. We ordered the Shrimp Lumpia, Chicharron, Pork Cheek Adobo, Mushroom Noodles, and Wagyu Cheeseburger. My family and I don't usually gravitate towards fusion filipino food, but we have to give points to Mix Mix because the food we ordered was all delicious. We went on a Sunday and ate outside on the terrace. Our server, Kyle K., was also great.

Stumbled on this place with my family by mistake and it happened to have great tasting food with excellent service. We ordered a few different pizzas: pepperoni, bone marrow and the margherita. My mom ordered the wagyu cheeseburger and my father ordered the salmon loco moco. We also ordered a couple salads on the side as well as shrimp lumpia. Only reason why I can't give it a full 5 stars is because of the portion to price ratio. With this restaurant being in the South Coast Plaza mall, it's understandable. But with that being said, I wouldn't hesitate to come back here considering that the food tastes great and the service is good too.

The extraordinary thing about the Pasta Sisters is that they offer house made pastas, which guarantees a higher price point, but offers unparalleled texture. The spaghetti has a "bite" that you get from a true "al dente" pasta. Their cheese tortellini were incredibly rich and cheesy, but a touch salty. The drawback of this location is that it's a ghost kitchen. You order it online and the order will be ready for you when you come in to pick it up. The location does not have seating, and you eat it at your own convenience. If you live/work locally, then this can be definitely worth checking out. Because I live out of town, I have to enjoy it either in my car, after a long drive home, or at my wife's office; however, I want to enjoy these $20 pastas in a restaurant, with wine and good company. A ghost kitchen is very different than a restaurant experience. I hope they do choose to bring their restaurant to the OC one day.

The oil and vinegar tied everything together perfectly and gave it that classic deli sandwich taste. Even the small size was filling. The cheese calzone was huge and baked perfectly. The outside had that crispy golden brown crust with little charred spots all over it and a nice crunch when you cut into it. Inside was parmesan, mozzarella, and ricotta cheese all melted together and super cheesy without feeling too heavy. Then you dip it into the Sunday sauce and that's what takes it over the top. Their Sunday sauce is tomato based but infused with the drippings from their homemade beef and pork meatballs so it has a deeper richer flavor than regular marinara. You can definitely taste the difference. Really glad I finally stopped here because now I totally get why so many people were talking about it. Definitely a place I'll be coming back

We came here after a disappointing appointment at Hermes, where I didn't receive the bag I was hoping for. suprisely we got sitted immediately after our arrival and our server Nikki came right away We ordered penne pomodoro which I asked to be spicy and the flavor matched the spice very perfectly and the pizza and kids food arrived very quickly. Our server came by four times to refill our drinks, which honestly surprised me because that level of attentiveness doesn't happen often, even at some of the more expensive restaurants nearby The only problem I had was the truffle fries which was too oily and smelly and the fries didn't seems fresh but our attentive and caring server immediately took them back, apologized, and offered to replace them. The atmosphere is very family friendly I recommend this place to enjoy your weekend for your family gatherings I feel so valued and special thank to the amazing service and food

But if I had to imagine what Italy feels like, I'd say... this might be it. Everything Marciano-style on the menu was really solid and genuinely enjoyable. The flavors felt comforting but still refined, like something you'd happily eat slowly without thinking too much about anything else. At one point I was even close to ordering their mortadella (or "mortal," as I almost confidently called it before correcting myself mid-thought), just because everything else was hitting that well. Overall, it's the kind of place that makes you forget you're in a mall for a second--and start pretending you're somewhere in Europe instead.
