They blocked it with a van this time and said I have to a customer. That's not right. That's not how this works. There shouldn't be a charger here. On a quick trip to Austin I chose this restaurant because my first choice had a 45 minute wait and I am impatient, so I opted to go elsewhere. I wish I would have waited because the food here was not good. The service was just great. That young man is more than hospitable, but the food left much to be desired. I had the tostada plate and it wasn't good at all. One thing I hate is when a dish with ground beef is served and they don't bother to season it. the salsa and chips were subpar, just crushed tomatoes and the price was not commensurate with the quality of the dish. read more

Great new neighborhood spot! We'll come back for drinks at the bar and for the patio. The charro beans were very good, and the servers were attentive to our needs when our drink order was incorrect. I'm so glad we discovered this place! We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning and had a great experience. The menu is interesting and has some familiar Mexican dishes as well as some dishes I hadn't seen before. The food was warm, plentiful, and delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. My only suggestion to the owner and/or staff is that some music in the dining area would be nice, but that's minor. We'll definiltely be going back and want to try their dinner menu, too. read more

I had the Birria tacos when they first opened and they were great. I ordered them today and they were terrible. The corn tortillas were dry and not fully cooked. It used to come with fresh onion and today it was a side of sautéed onions. I don't know if they changed cooks or recipes but it was not good at all. The lime wedge was so dried out no juice was even coming out. And I think they changed the cheese they use. It tastes like mozzarella. If this will be the birria they serve definitely not good and now overpriced. I paid $16 plus tax!!!! read more

Visited for the time for a birthday celebration. The Manager Enrique was very accommodating. Our waiter handled the large party very well. The birria tacos are to die for. The chips and salsa were great, but... the food was nothing special and their drinks are not good at all. I ordered a Mexican Martini that came with no shaker and the margarita was in a small cup and tasted like straight sugar, no alcohol. Had great expectations Disappointed with service and food quality. Luncheon service- tables weren't cleared, Plenty of food served but recipes miss the mark of authentic Mexican food. They're using some form of cheap mix and that's completely unacceptable in a decent Mexican restaurant. I had it made with Don Julio, which was certainly a waste of the Don Julio. My hubby and I stopped off at 5610 Food Co on our way home from visiting our son in Austin. A road trip to/from Austin MUST include Mexican street food, right?! This place hit the mark, al pastor combo, so yummy. Our son and his fiance are planning a wedding shower at their neighborhood park so we suggested they use Que Divino to cater the shower. Wow, I love this place! It's cozy and comfortable inside. The food is delicious and has a little different twist that most Austin Texmex. It seems to be more handmade with care than mass produced. My friend and I went to Que Divino Cocina for lunch on a Thursday. The restaurant was busy, though not packed. We were shown immediately to one of several unoccupied tables, but after that, the service, though friendly, was slow. Ambiance was about what you'd expect for a standard Tex-Mex place--nothing particularly noteworthy. I started by ordering iced tea and was told they were out of iced tea. Out of iced tea--during lunch? Why couldn't they make more? Then the server said they did have some unsweetened tea, which was what I wanted, anyway. It took a while, but finally a glass of weak, cloudy iced tea arrived. Good iced tea ought to be a given, but it certainly wasn't here. After determining that not even minor modifications to the menu were allowed, we ordered, and our server said our food would be right out. I finished my tea and asked for a refill, but was told they were now out of unsweetened tea, too, so with no other options, I switched to water. Time passed, and passed, and passed. Our server stopped by the table multiple times to apologize and tell us our food was almost ready, and would be out in just a few minutes. "Just a few minutes" turned out to be well over an hour! I can't imagine what could possibly have taken so long in the kitchen, particularly since we ordered standard menu items. When they finally came, my enchiladas suizas were good, but the refried beans and rice that came with them were forgettable, and I left them. The best thing I can say about Que Divino Cocina is that our server was cheerful, friendly, and tried hard to please, but without backup from the kitchen, I'd have to say our experience was disappointing, and not in the least divine. The place was very nice. The employees were kind. Food was ready quick. The quesabirria pizza was extremely greasy, I couldn't taste much else but grease, I get it its fatty meat and cheese but there are ways to do it right and this was not one of them. The consume was also very greasy as well, I know a lot of places go for that so its not their fault I just prefer a more creamy consume rather than greasy, I had to use about 10 napkins a slice to get it completely off of me. It was almost $40 for the pizza so I was pretty upset to get disgusting birria. If you're looking for good Birria I wouldnt go here but their rice and salsa were really solid so if I were to go again it just wouldn't be for the Birria. Additionally, it really hurt my boyfriend and I's stomach because we weren't used to all of that fat, so if you dont tend to eat a lot of greasy stuff, for the sake of your stomach please dont get it. read more
