The House is family O&O, and the BEST brekky tacos... but this week I did something different. The chilaquiles are hella deLISH!!!!!! Papas in beans, yum. Red sauce soaked chips are like migas, but much better! Do yourself a favor, visit the Pf Taco House. A true gem

I can't believe it took this long to try Pflugerville Taco House. Our go-to taco place is a bit of…read morea drive, but this place is definitely a great alternative, a 1b to our 1a. Parking is pretty easy: a good amount of parking on in a small lot and on the street, but there's always available spots due to the low amount of traffic in the area. The place is small with only 6-ish tables, but again, not a lot of traffic, so there's usually a few tables available if you're dining in. The staff is super nice and friendly. They have a nice variety of tacos, with a bunch of classic and modern versions. My go to order is the Al Pastor, Barbacoa, and the chips and salsa. The Al Pastor is one of the best versions I've had, with pineapple chunks enhancing the flavor from the crispy pork. The barbacoa is tender and fatty, an big punch of flavor. The red salsa that is super spicy as well. A bit too spicy for me, but has wonderful flavor. This place is looking to be our newest default taco place.

It was time to try a new Mexican restaurant in our area…read more As an American Mexican, i have way different expectations of Mexican food/ restaurants. This unfortunately did not meet or exceed any... i came in with none. We ordered Quesabirria tacos. My wife got the order with the beans and rice... rosarita beans and mediocre rice. Minutes after eating the tacos i had a horrible lingering feeling in my mouth of grease.. i lined my mouth with lard it felt like. The consome/ soup type that you dip the taco into had garbanzo beans ... what in the culinarily missapropriated food item was that In MEXICAN food!!!???? The overbearing music that cuts out every 16 notes is obnoxious and loud. They have a few TVs for games, but doesnt seem like there was any thought as to placement. Need to do better I did take a peek at some plates around us... the chile verde looked good. So you know me, i will not slam a restaurant without the benefit of the doubt, so i will come back and have that, i hope its not just my topo chico what tastes good again

I visited Taco More today after a long and stressful day at work, and I was honestly just ready to…read moreeat. I noticed they had some new menu items and was excited to try the milanesa de res plate (as clearly written on their board). The waitress, a very nice young lady, took my order with no problem. But shortly after, she came back saying the cook told her that the milanesa could only be made with chicken. I showed her the board, which listed both beef (res) and chicken (pollo). This led to several servers having to check and communicate with the kitchen, which felt unnecessary and just made the wait longer -- I was simply hungry and didn't want the extra back-and-forth. Eventually, our server explained that milanesa de res is only available in tortas, but then added they were actually out of beef anyway. I accepted that and asked for a side of rice instead. About 10 minutes later, she returned saying the cook had decided they would go ahead and make the milanesa de res after all. At this point, I was frustrated -- why say they didn't have it, then later say they could make it? It really felt like the kitchen was making up rules as they went, which is not fair to the customers or to the servers. The only positive part of this visit was our waitress. She was kind, patient, and clearly just trying to do her job, but the disorganization and inconsistency from the kitchen left a very bad impression.

Never had it before but it did not disappoint. The cut is fatty since it's the head but the meat was tender and delicious. Paired with the homemade tortillas and salsa it was a 10 outta 10. The staff was so kinda and I was able to tour where they cook all the meat. The time and effort that is put into making the food is a true work of art. The TENDERISM was so real . I will be back again to try the other cuts since it was so good . I believe they do tend to sell out so the earlier the better .

Of course I went straight to the food truck to try and order, since a line of people were standing next to a table with a sign above saying "Merch Shop", and I didn't want any merch. I was quickly told I was in the wrong spot to order, so I headed back to the line to wait. I ordered 1/2lb beef head, 1/2lb lamb and 1/2 lb sausage to get a taste of their food; although, they had several other cuts of both beef and lamb. I arrived at 10 and they indicated that didn't have the beef head, only the cheeks. The order came out remarkedly fast...maybe because everyone else was ordering dine in and we got it to go. We sat down at a picnic table and within 2 minutes they were calling my name. It was a nice amount of meat to feed 4 adults and a teenager. The go-go order came with pretty much everything we needed, except for utensils and their chili oil, so i made sure to grab the oil before I left. Everyone in my group liked the beef cheeks the best in the tacos, since it had the most flavor and was moist. The lamb was good, but not as moist and when you put it in the taco it wasn't all that. The sausage was good as well. It comes wrapped in a tortilla with cheese and there is also cheese in the sausage. It seemed to be fairly gamey and easily the most between the 2 lamb meats I ordered. As far as the consumme, which I ordered a small, I thought it was okay, but not really needed. It gets all over the place and makes your taco wet. I ended up just dabbing a little on my tacos, but I could have done without .
