Never in my life have I had such a terrible nail experience. I came in for a gel manicure before my engagement photoshoot, and it was the worst experience ever. First, the lady who was doing my nails, filed them down so short, and then used the drill to file back the skin on my nail bed. She then proceeded to cut my cuticles back so much that every single finger started to bleed. When it came time for the gel polish, it was done SO poorly, that I asked her to take it off, which I never do. I DO NOT recommend this place in the slightest. The pricing isn't posted but I am confident I pay $40 for a basic pedicure. It's not rushed, I feel completely satisfied with my service at the end. You can get pop or water with no extra charge. Venus nails delivers when it comes to service. I came in on a Saturday afternoon expecting to a busy crowd. But it was the exact opposite more like 4 or 5 people in attendance. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and offered a complimentary beverage. I don't get pedicures often but when I do I always tell the technician to massage my feet firmly because they are always sore from working out. They actually listened, so for that I'm an grateful. Why not 5 stars you ask? Nail places tend to be really pushy at times about getting you to upgrade and pay more for things you don't want. Should've read the reviews before coming here. Now I feel like an idiot... Popped in after getting my brows done at the place next door. Was immediately screamed at by the front desk lady about what I wanted. I told her I wanted a gel manicure but would like to see the colors first. She told me they were on the wall but forced me to sit down and instructed the technician to start on me and I can see them later... I wanted a nude so she threw one at me and I was like whatever that's fine. The technician trimmed my cuticles so forcefully I was in pain. She didn't spend much time shaping them either. I could've done a better job myself. She also took a half eaten yogurt with a spoon in it from out of her drawer and finished it off while my nails were drying. Grossed me out. They gave me the worse overlay on my hands and fast ass pedicure. I haven't been to the Salon in about 3 months and the nail tech proceeded to tell me I didn't have dead cuticle skin to clean up. WTF.. I'm not a tech and I clearly see it. My acrylic gel and paint was horrible on my hands. The acrylic was placed extremely thick. I told the technician it's too thick. She said, I'll fix. I paid $60 for a gel mani and classic pedi, my gel mani didn't even last a week! When I've gone other places they lasted me 2-3 weeks, which is typically how long they're supposed to last. After starting on my pedi, the nail tech working on me (which I think is also the owner), proceeded to tell me they're credit card machine was down and they were only accepting cash. I do not carry cash on me and would've appreciated a heads up before starting on the services. They did this to other other clients in the salon as well, most were very upset and got angry. The techs all told them to go to 7/11 across the street or the atm in the laundromat near by to grab cash. The nail tech working on me, was on her phone the majority of the time arguing with someone about a bill and did not do a great job on either my hands or feet. RECENTLY bad my Eyelashes, Nails and Pedicare done here! WORST EXPERIECE EVER!!! EYELASHES WERE DONE COMPLETLY WITHOUT A LIGHT UNDER MY EYE!!...I was made to sit up straight with eye open the whole time! She literally PULLED my old lashes off by hand useing no remover or product to soften. It was very painful. She used walmart brand indivdiual lashes as my relacements. SHE used her fingers without gloves to rub glue on my real lashes to hold new ones on and my eyelases are brick hard now with no curl and stick steaight out like fine line. She argued with me and was unprofessional. MY nails were soposse to be a fill with a pedicure!.. but she only filed my finger nails and toes and then painted them!... I have been going to this shop for the past 8 or 9 years; and oh how I miss the previous owner. The current owner Lily has been there for several years at this point. With her taking over came some major and much needed improvements. New chairs, work stations, and a host of other changes. Now for the bad part... They do not sanitize the pedicure stations. I'm not exactly sure how they clean their towels but they are hard and wrinkled before they even get used. Hand-washed maybe?? Her customer relations, work ethic, and customer service skills leave much to be desired. I find myself going to other nail shops for services at this point or doing it myself at home because of the poor customer interactions and lack of cleanliness. She has one of the nastiest attitudes I have ever dealt with in my life. I only continued to come because I really enjoy my pedicures that Ann does for me. Now for my most recent experience.....I went in today to get my eyebrows and a pedicure with my aunt. I was informed that my technician was on vacation. Because I'm so particular about my pedicures I opted to only get my eyebrows waxed. After going back and forth and being pestered about not wanting to get my pedicure done by someone else I sat and waited patiently for 45 minutes for Lily to finish doing a gel manicure. Meanwhile another customer came in and also stated she wanted her eyebrows done. After Lily was done with the gel manicure, she took the customer that came in after me to the back. I called out to her twice and was ignored. So I got up and walked to the back and asked why she took another customer in front of me. She stated, and I quote "You told me no, so I told you no!" So pretty much she refused to do my eyebrows because I didn't want someone else to do my pedicure. She let me sit there for almost an hour, only to ignore me and tell me she would not provide me any services. This is not the first time I've experienced her rudeness but it is certainly the last. I refuse to spend any more of my money in this place and recommend that no one else does either!!!! read more

I have been coming to Lily for almost 5 years and she has never let me down! Any time I've gone to another salon for anything I've been disappointed in comparison to Lily's work. My eyelashes always look amazing and last long! Her nail work is unmatched! She continues to deliver and she asks you questions while doing your nails to make sure you're happy with the results!
