I asked for a pedi and eyebrow wax. 1 | They started off with the pedi and had the water SCORCHING, I spoke up 3x because my feet couldnt stay in the water longer than 5 secs. After the third time I literally was about to refuse the rest of the service. I get pedis A LOT and I noticed she skipped alot of steps (e.g cutical care, soaking of the feet) 2 | The cleanliness really stuck out to me - I saw they didnt use packaged sterilized pedicure utensils. Not saying they don't sterilize their equipment but the box didnt look too clean and the scrub brush I'm sickened to find that she used a dirty scrub brush on my feet. 3 | All the furniture looked second-hand and was REALLY WORN and very dusty. 3 | By this time I didnt even want to get my eyebrows done but unfortunately was in need so I did it. The room was tight and the paper on the table didnt look like it had been changed between people. I asked her to keep my eyebrows thick and just clean them up. Of course she DID THE EXACT OPPOSITE. She used no brush or anything and went straight in with HOT WAX on my face. And the end result was me absolutely HATING my eyebrows. 4 | I sat down to dry my feet for abt 20mins and proceeded to put my shoes on, the lady then came up to me and said if they mess up its because im suppose to let them dry for 2HRs . By this time, I was fed up and looking to leave so I went to pay just to be shocked by the price which I was confused to find out and couldn't question because they had their prices nowhere listed . For starters the staff was very nice. But the lady they chose to do my pedicure, didn't speak a lick of English, which it's not her fault but the paint or just the polishing scale was not there. Maybe the polish was old, but mama could not paint in between the lines to save no one. !!!!!! Others said they have been coming here for years. Maybe I just got a bad egg. I have been going here since July. I usually wait despite having an appointment but the wait has never been unreasonable until the last time I was there. On Saturday, I had an appointment for 4:30 and came in at that time. Shortly after, someone saw me to wrap my nails in acetone to remove color. Normally they only keep on the foil for 20 mins (which is already pretty long). This time they left it on for an hour. 4 people came after me and all received a whole service while I sat there with acetone tin foiled on my fingers, which is not good for your skin or nails. Lin kept saying she would come back and 5 more mins. Her boss ended up doing my nails. A set of healthy nails should not take 2 hours. I had an appointment and understand one other woman did as well. Walked into this salon on Tuesday afternoon and waited about 10 minutes to get serviced. I was greeted upon arrival. The salon is very clean, about 8 pedicure chairs and 8-10 nail stations. Only three ladies were working and they had a steady flow going. I decided to do SNS and picked color "S5". I am not sure of the tech's name but she did a wonderful job and took her time. She did use the buffing tool a lot as opposed to picking at my cuticles. Free Parking is available in the back of the salon. I would definitely come back to this place. They offer a lot of services. When I walked in a customer was not happy with the flaws and she asked repeatedly to have the man fix it, she got upset and decided to leave with poor work, the man said "you should pay more!!!" Stay away from this place if it's the last nail salon open on Earth. Got a gel manicure on Saturday morning right before I went out of town. By Saturday afternoon, 9/10 fingers have a MULTITUDE of bubbles in the polish. I call back and the technician asks me to send pictures and tells me that since the gel isn't peeling, "she can't do anything for me and everyone else gets their nails done and there aren't issues". $45 and she tells me there's nothing she can do AND LAUGHS. I love this place! I've been here twice, once at 10am and once at 1pm. Both times, I was able to get in & out without waiting. Both time staff members were very nice. This time, a guy did my nails & while he wasn't feeling great, he was really detail-oriented when it came to my nails. The location is a plus! The ambience is very quiet and peaceful. I loved the pedicure chairs & that the staff gave us bottles of water. I also love that they have a variety of options of additions to boost your pedicures. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the parking can sometimes be very limited. Also, I felt bad that I wasn't able to leave a tip for staff on my credit card. I've been at this location a few times before, however, this experience was by far the worst. I came in for a gel manicure and asked the technician to not cut my cuticles because I wash my hands several times a day and wear gloves when working with patients. I only got a gel manicure this time because I was going out with my husband for Valentines Day. I was asked four times if I was sure I didn't want my cuticles cut. I responded politely each time why I didn't want them cut. She smirked each time and said something to the woman next to her. After she finished, she asked if I liked my nails and commented she preferred to cut cuticles because they looked better. She painted over my "pushed" cuticles and the paint isn't even on my nails. I also brought my son in to get a pedicure. He was asked several times about clear polish in which he declined. They then proceeded to ask me in which I replied, "no polish." Him and my husband occasionally get pedicures, maybe 2-3 times a year and never had any issues anywhere. When my son and I got in the car, he said they were definitely talking about him. I am unfortunately not oblivious to this occurring in a nail salon, however, I didn't like my son experiencing that. I was in yesterday on a spur of the moment pedicure while my son got lunch at Souvlaki Bar. There was only one man and I was the only client. He'd been outside smoking so that triggered a coughing fit as soon as I sat in the chair. If you're working in close proximity to your clients, you cannot smell like smoke. As far as I could tell, the pedicure was going fine. Another woman had walked in for gel nails as he was applying my polish. She didn't indicate that she was in a hurry, and he pointed out a table for her to sit at while he finished my toes. I told him I had to leave so as he was putting my flip flops on my painted nails, she got up and said she couldn't wait anymore (Why?! He was done with my nails). So he was then preoccupied watching his next client walk out and he smudged my nail with my shoe. He half-way wiped it off and put another coat of color on - no base, I don't recall if he put a top coat on. I recognized that was pretty shoddy work, but I needed to go too. When I got into bed last night, I could feel my toenails catching on the sheets. I looked closely and examined them and realized that he didn't even file my nails - they were just cut with clippers and left rough. I should have paid attention to the reviews. This salon is clean, bright, and amazing! I wish I had a salon like this near my home. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon without an appointment and didn't have to wait. I was greeted, picked my color, and promptly taken in for my pedicure and manicure. I wanted a type of pedicure they didn't have available (hot stone) but I chose a different one which was just as amazing. The massage was for a long time and they take all of the dead skin off of your feet (my feet were baby soft after). Its been 3 weeks and my gel manicure is just now starting to lift a little. They do have plastic liners they place in the footbowl for each client and I've always seen them bring out new sterile equipment for use. Always have had friendly service. I've never had to wait, even walking in. The Mani/pedis I've had (both regular and gel) we're great, cleaned up my cuticle beds and took time to make sure each nail was meticulously painted. Been here 4xs now. 2 pedis, 2 acrylic fill ins. They get me in quickly with no appt needed. Friendly service! The last time I had a gentleman and he's good, but he's a little rough. Nicked my cuticles a few times on my fill in and my massage with my pedi was almost painful. Had to ask him to ease up a little. Maybe I'm just tender... Otherwise, my nails always last until the next fill in and my toes look cute. FYI, they take 10% off your total if you pay in cash. I just moved to Potomac Yards and was looking for a walkable nail spot. I think this is the closest nail salon to me and I really enjoyed my visit. They have a parking lot and and it seems plenty of spots, sharing with Tony's Towing Company. The salon is clean and the techs are friendly. My spa pedicure was $45 which included a scrub and a mask. The $35 pedicure had no scrub and I was looking for something really relaxing. I dont think there was a massage, so a bit of a bummer. My toes look 100x better than they did before the visit. The were pushing the SNS product which is supposed to be good for your nails, lots of vitamins. I am very skeptical but may try it one more time. The last time I did it, at a salon Arlington, they used the machine and cut my cuticles to the point I was bleeding. TLDR. Good place. I will definitely be back! read more

This place looks nice is very clean, but the quality in the nails is absolutely terrible. I had a full set pink and white the nails turned a yellow gray color the very next day. So i went to have them filled in 1 week instead of 2, so i could fix the color since they looked terrible. All of the nails that were originally put on have pop off before 2 weeks. I have never had every single nail pop off before 2 weeks. Also the nails are uneven, they are different lengths the thumbs are shorter just a total mess. If you want good quality nails that don't come off before 2 weeks don't go here. I'm super disappointed with the quality and the actual service bc the nails were not cheap and now i have to pay to get an entire new set at another place. read more

I went here after work for a simple French tip pedicure, and full set with a French tip. The full set French tip I wanted had a marble tip and I was informed early that they person working on my nails wasn't able to do that style..no problem! I asked for a simple French tip set instead. After polishing my nails, I showed a reference for how I wanted the tip consider my nails are long and was told the person couldn't do the curve I wanted.
