Had my nails filled today put some gel between my cuticle grown out nail?? asked for a darker color for my nails. I am 36 years old and have been getting my nails done in Boise and Meridian since I was 15. In over 21 years of visiting countless nail salons, this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. From the moment the service started, the nail tech was extremely aggressive with filing and handling my nails. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Her demeanor made it clear she either did not want to be there or had zero interest in providing good customer service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I repeatedly explained that I wanted the same set I already had, simple white acrylic with one accent nail design. She rolled her eyes and acted annoyed, as if my request was unreasonable, even though it was my preference and what I was paying for.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had called several hours in advance to confirm availability specifically so I would not be adding stress to their workload, yet I still felt like an inconvenience just for being there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Before starting, I clearly told her that my previous set was done using white acrylic powder and I even pointed out the white powder sitting next to her station. Despite this, she used clear powder. After grinding down my nails and applying the clear acrylic, another tech came over, looked at the work, and it clearly looked uneven and terrible. Instead of addressing it, both of them giggled and walked away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When she asked again what color I wanted, for the third time, I said I wanted white like my previous set. She scoffed and said in a rude tone that she did not remember my old nails and demanded I show her a picture.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She then applied a milky white over the uneven acrylic, which made the blotchiness extremely visible. I politely told her it did not look good because you could see all the uneven areas. Her response was to suggest switching colors instead of fixing the issue. When I asked again if we could use white acrylic powder, she snapped and said I should have told her earlier because now she would have to redo everything. I had told her multiple times from the beginning. She simply chose not to listen. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The entire experience felt unprofessional, catty, and disrespectful. Mistakes happen, but the attitude, eye rolling, scoffing, and refusal to take accountability were unacceptable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]No customer should be made to feel uncomfortable or blamed for asking for something they clearly communicated and are paying for.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will never return and would not recommend this salon to anyone who expects professionalism or basic customer respect. read more

I am a male who has thick calluses on his feet. I went in to have my feet treated. Worst job ever!! Almost no skin removed. Told to soak feet in vaseline. Also, dirt left underneath toenails, and almost no effort other trim nails. read more

WORST NAILS IVE EVER HAD I wrote a review yesterday talking about how [[HIGHLIGHT]]she forcefully ripped half of my REAL NAIL OFF, NOT ONCE apologized and basically told me it's not that big of a deal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] SEALED one of her hairs and a piece of aluminum foil in said nail AND DOESNT KNOW HOW TO USE A DRILL OR A PAINT BRUSH !!!! I don't know what happened to this place. I went a year ago and had no issues here. Today I went in for my scheduled appointment for a full set of acrylics. I told my nail tech what I wanted, squared set, medium length. My nail tech went through the service so fast but not only that, my nails were so thick and bulky, they also had a weird curve to them. She kept applying so much acrylic, I've never had such thick nails. I asked her to file them down some more to make them thinner, she buffed them down but they still had a horrible bulky curve to it. She acted like she didn't care and just wanted to finish the service. It felt very unprofessional. Why hire a nail tech who doesn't care about her work? [[HIGHLIGHT]]I literally told her to stop my service. I paid and left with my nails unfinished.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ended up coming home and had to spend 2 hours buffing them and trying to get them to look somewhat decent. She did end up cutting my skin with a nail filler so it made it harder to fix since it was painful but I managed to make them look better until I find a new place. Literally limping the day after a pedicure from being stabbed into my nail bed. WOW, this place offers one of the worst pedicures ever.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY !!! I've never had worse nails. Seriously $66 for this? Lucky I didnt have the energy today I would've raised hell in there today. Me not having the energy lately is the whole reason i came to this dumpster fire of a place instead of doing them myself. During the take off of my existing acrylic, she ripped part of my REAL nail off and didn't even apologize. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Later saw me looking at it and saying "ouch" and she said "It's Ok." NOT a question, she was telling me "it's fine calm down"[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] THEN encapsulates a piece of hair and aluminum foil into one of my GelX nails. She cut my cuticles in 3 different spots with the drill. Gave me crooked squoval nails instead of straight square and TO TOP IT OFF SHE CANT PAINT RIGHT EITHER. I came in with gel and left with gel but they still charged me for the removal of the gel polish, I have never had that experience, across at least 3 states. They get you in fast with limited wait times which is super nice, but I normally call ahead and schedule an appointment. ** I can't recommend Anne and Bee enough when it comes to acrylic nails. I have been coming to this nail salon for manicures for over a year and loved my nails every time. I got a pedicure for the first time today and will now never be coming back. During the service, I pointed out that the polish didn't look smooth. The nail tech insisted that it would look good when it was done. It still looked incredibly uneven and chunky at the end and I expressed this and she said it was "because my nails were uneven..." yet she spent about half an hour filing them and I've never had my nails look this bad before. The white polish pictures are from the service I received from this salon and the red is from a different salon (to show what my nails usually look like vs what they looked like today.) Clearly my nails were not "uneven" before she painted them. They even look better when I do them myself. I selected the $36 pedicure and was charged $56. When I asked why the nail tech said it costs extra to use gel, which I totally get... but $20 is a lot and this should have been brought to my attention prior to the service. If i could give them triple five stars, I would. New to the city and i truly believe the bad rating is from the previous owner because everyone here is AMAZING. Being a new mom, working full time at work and home has been wild so I had to reschedule a couplr times but they were always so kind and understanding. I felt the need to definitely write a review today because my baby daddy and dog was sick this week so not only did I have to reschedule, but I had to bring my baby with me to the appointment. shout out to Ann for being so accommodating and even holding my baby when I had to go wash my hands. I have never been to a salon as such from Chicago, New York, and San Francisco who would go above and beyond so that I could get my self-care day in! not only are they so sweet, but Ann does a fantastic job that doesn't make your nails look bulky and have it last long lasting. She is one of the best nail technician that knows how to make everything you want happen. Quality is mediocre: my gel manicure lasted a week and a half and had bubbles in them.

I am so disappointed. We had an appointment at 11, but were not seated for our pedicures until 11:45. Then they raced through our manicure and pedicures. The woman doing my nails sat me down for the mani and I told her I wanted to keep my length as I had been growing out my nails. But she cut my nails all the way down despite me trying to stop her - so much so that it's the next day and my fingers and nails are literally throbbing because they were cut down to the skin. It hasn't even been 24 hours and half my nails are chipped and there's nail polish all over my skin because she didn't clean up her work. I will never go back to this place and would not recommend anyone go here read more

So I moved here almost 8 months ago now and I know so many people know how hard it is to find a new good nail tech especially when you have been faithful to the same person prior for 8 years , but man did the universe bless me when I stumbled upon Queen's nails! I would suggest making an appointment especially if you want a particular service and/or designs, the work is always flawless and fast but I never feel rushed or leave disappointed. I am also one to break a nail by the 2nd week but going here they use AMAZING products in which I can go 4 weeks or longer without a single crack! The nail techs can re-create any design, flawlessly or are great with thinking of cool new designs on the fly! I'm not one to leave reviews, but this was truly the worst experience I've had at a nail salon in Boise. I came in just to remove gel extensions off my nails, and they proceeded by ripping off the nail extensions off my nail bed. I asked if they could soak it off with acetone, as the ripping hurt really bad, but they said that they couldn't. After they continued to rip my nails, I asked if they could please do acetone instead. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The manager lady was super disrespectful and made me feel dumb for even asking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She said they could do acetone but that it would take 30 minutes. I said that was fine and it ended up taking 15 minutes and was much less painful then literally ripped my nails off. Really don't recommend this place. read more

I had acrylics and wanted to change them out for regular gel nails. There was no pressure from them to upsell or make me get new acrylics. I have used this place several times and unfortunately the owner was not there I had a 2 o'clock appointment and I walked in at 2:02. They asked me to choose my color then I registered myself. I sat there for 10 minutes while the employees did absolutely nothing. At 2:12 I finally said could someone please start on me as the salon is completely empty there is no one here? I had a 2 o'clock appointment. To which point one of the employees began arguing with me telling me that I should be patient and that they will get to me shortly. I asked again why someone can't just help me when everyone else is sitting around she began to yell at me telling me that if I didn't want to get my nails done and be patient I should just leave. She said when you go to a restaurant you have to be patient and wait there too I said this isn't a restaurant and there's three of you doing absolutely nothing can't one of you start on me? Finally when my nail tech showed up and he said that he had been eating. I said why couldn't someone else have helped me? No we take turns here. If you don't like it you can go somewhere else! In the end I turned around and walked out but I want people to know the service here is horrible. At the worst part about this is as I chose to leave they're telling me I'm racist? My nail tech did a decent job. She left to paint someone else's nails. I thought I was waiting for my toes to dry when she asked a coworker to finish my toes. He walked over wearing gloves he had JUST used on another client! I asked him to change his gloves. He just look them off and started painting the clear coat. The coat was thick and uneven. This nail salon was the worst nail salon I have ever been to, and I get acrylics every two weeks. Me and my friends made appointments for 4:30, and when we arrived, we were told it would be a 15 minute wait. An hour and a half later, we were still waiting. I have been here a few times before and the improvement in service and overall atmosphere/aesthetics in comparison to how it was before was incredible. The new owner is friendly and made my sister and I feel very welcome. Our nail techs were professional and talented and took their time to make our nails look perfect. I'm new to Boise and was surprised how few shops do dip powder nails, and how many have an awful reputation. Queen Nails reviews indicated they are under new management, so I decided to try it (nails were a disaster!). It's a pretty small place and just a few techs working. The ones that helped me were very nice. I am always scared of new places because if you get a bad one you come out with drilled off cuticles and/or lumpy nails. I am pleased to say that my nails look really good! I would like to see more evidence of autoclaving tools and opening of sterile packaging during my service. Didn't seem dirty, I just like to see it coming out of the package. I will try them again. read more
