Chairs were great. Pedicure not so much - both of my big toes are still bleeding. My nails were cut on the sides after I specifically asked her not to do that. Top coat didn't cover all the way either. Boooo!!!!! read more

Communicating was very difficult, but not unusual. The quality of work from the young lady who did my pedicure was very poor. My nails are supposed to be square across the top and rounded on the edges. They're just cut square and very short. There was minimal cuticle work done and so much not done that the polish looks horrible. The polish actually came off within 30 minutes. This is probably because when I pointed out the issues, she tried to fix the cuticle work after the nails were painted and ended up with kind of a mess. Believe it or not I tipped on this because I just needed to get out. I'll try to post a picture. As a follow-up, I am going on a trip tomorrow and can't get into another salon to get my nails fixed. I stopped at Walmart and bought an entire manicure kit and new polish. Getting home and actually looking at how horribly the work was done, I wish I would have just told them that they needed to redo it because it is so bad. I understand that they've gotten some good reviews, but if you get the young lady that I got, please just wait for someone else. I wish I knew her name, because you may walk out needing more work done than when you went in. read more

This place is lacking professionalism. Nail tech refused to swatch two colors on my nails, when I asked why she said "because then I'll have to take off and start over". I mentioned this was for my bridal photos so I'd like to see two maybe three shades on. She became frustrated and yanked my hand towards her, slapped one color on and said "there"! When I said I don't want to do this and needed someone else to ring me up, she told me to walk over to get the owner myself. I told them I wasn't paying for a polish change because she was treating me horribly. "If you don't have money just say that, she don't have money for filing", other nail techs, including Hannah Tran, chimed in and said "oh you're just having a bad day". She also was complaining that the salon did not work as a team. Pretty evident today that they do not care about the customer experience. The poor lady who did my pedicure did a good job and I feel bad she has to work in such a toxic environment. Nasty vibes in here, nail techs please don't give your clients attitude! I have had a standard mani/Pedi here 2x and both experiences were great. First, this is conveniently located by the UPS store in Fred Meyer center on Linder. This is one of the cleanest nail salons around. The chairs are newer with all the massage settings. The decor is tasteful. The staff are professional and focused on taking care of their client. I just had a regular manicure (no color) and a pedicure. I appreciate that I could stay in same seat for both services. I was pleased with the quality of the service, cuticles were nicely trimmed and nail shape and finish was perfection. Price is comparable to other salons in the TV of lesser quality. I usually love this place and have always just gone with whoever is available. However, today was a very different experience. I had booked my appointment 3 weeks in advance, but when I arrived, my appointment was written down wrong and I ended up with two different technicians. Unfortunately, neither did a good job. The gels weren't fully removed before polish was applied, polish was left all over my cuticles, and my nails were filed completely crooked. On top of that, the service was $70, which felt way too high for the quality I received. Really disappointed this time around. read more

Called in today to see if they could fit me in for a pedicure and they told me to come in at 3. I got there and it was pretty busy but they still got me in and took amazing care of me. They spent about an hour on my pedicure and I couldn't feel more relaxed. Thank you for taking your time and caring about your work. Seems like every time I'm running behind and don't have time to request a specific tech I always get stuck with the one person I don't like. She's pleasant but my pedicure is always crappy. It's hard to capture in a picture on my phone but Bubbles, uneven painting/streaking. I like the salon and don't want to find another but it's such a waste of money. Just wanted to get on here and speak my truth. I've been getting my nails done with girlfriend Hannah since I moved here last here. She's very to herself and I don't mind because I like my nail time to be my getaway time. So we sit in front of each other for an hour, she does my nails, I pay +tip and leave. I recently made a last minute appointment, things came up and I forgot about this appointment. When they called me I felt really bad for not showing up. The receptionist asked if I wanted to reschedule which I did but then Hannah said something to her and she said "Hannah will not be seeing you anymore." Let me be clear when I say I haven't missed any other appointments and MOST of the time I go in for my appointments, I wait past my appointment time. What would've been a more respectable response in my opinion would be to charge me a cancelation fee. THAT I would understand from a professional standpoint and THAT I would respect. Upon arriving all was well .. my experience slowly but surely went down hill ... I asked for a nude nail with a bit of sparkles but upon putting it was orange .. I asked after the first coat if that was the right color and she said yes ... & then comes the second . My nails were clearly orange and I asked for them to be fixed .. I was then transferred to another gal and she treated me horribly like I did something wrong .. I took a picture of the swatch next to my nails before starting and it was not even close .. she was very mean and said they don't have time to redo ... & I'd have to come back tomorrow which I was fine with - i just wanted those nails off .. she ended up redoing but not in a professional manner. & to top this whole experience off I got an INFECTION in my BIG LEFT TOE from the PEDICURE!!' I just had Worst nail experience here. I came in for a gel polish change on my acrylics. I chose DND's Wineberry as a shade which is a solid color but when the girl applied the polish, there was glitter all on my nails, I'm assuming from previously mixing that color with glitter for a client. I asked her to remove the polish because it was supposed to be a plain color and was not supposed to have glitter and she tried leaving the color on to repaint over it? It looked awful. There was no attention to detail at all and very sloppy work. I told her to just remove all the color and had to walk out with my acrylics unpainted and was still charged $36. Never coming back and would not recommend- luckily I was able to dispute the transaction with my bank and get my money back. read more

Unlike other salons, my nails/acrylics are never crooked and I never have complaints. If you need a fix between fills, they're very accommodating. My favorite service is the pedicures with Hannah. The relief I get with my ingrown nails cannot be put into words. Its been good in the past and I recommend them to everyone, but Im beginning to hesitate. The older gal with shoulder length hair that i had the last several times is just awful. She rushes, goes through the motions and is so rough. I asked her not to cut short, she agrees but does the opposite. She always turns my chair off too. I turn it on, she turns it back off. It feels almost like shes angry. I get the premium sugarcoat too pedi but its more the express car wash at costco. No actual care, just rush rush rush. Scrubs me so hard like a brillo o Pad on a filthy burnt copper pan. Hey lady, thats my actual skin your scrubbing and scrapping. Then for the massage, it was a like I could not feel her hands. How do you go from roughing me up with your tools and then barely petting for massge???My favorite thing about this place is no longer relevant. Not special. No more amazing attention to detail. I have had good experiences at the Salon was happy to finally find a really great place, but Then Trin left and when I came in to get the same dip in French the person who did the Nail dip had no idea what she was doing. It looked like a 3rd grader applied the dip. But, To rectify the situation I was only charged $125.00 for a horrible nail experience. I go to Sugarcoat every 3 weeks for an acrylic fill and always have the most friendly reception and great results. My acrylic never lifts and the finish coat is beautiful. I also regularly have pedicures at Sugarcoat and they show great attention to detail and are meticulously clean and thorough. 100% would recommend this family-run salon in Meridian. You can find them at Chinden and Linder next to the UPS store. Immaculately clean and friendly staff. Probably best to call ahead for an appointment as the word is out and they are usually busy. I had a 10 am appointment. I was 2 minutes late. They gave my appointment away. I was told they called me twice. I showed call log on phone. Yep no call. They still got in my face and backup from other employee telling me I was late. I'm like it was 2 minutes. They treated me unprofessional and then proceeded to tell me to wait. They did this is all in front of all the clients. I would have walked out but was going out of town in two days. Will not be returning. Do you know how many nail salons are around? Get a grip!! Hannah is the best! I love every service I have received from here. Hannah has done my nails (gel polish) and I have received a pedicure. I would recommend them for sure. Pros: Clean. New. No strong odors. Ok prices. Cons: Attitude of staff. We scheduled 3 pedicure appointments, arrived a few minutes before our appointment and were barely greeted when we walked in. We stood around, awkwardly, for a few minutes before being seated. The pedicures were ok, nothing great. Price was $40 for the basic which is what we chose once we realized the staff did not seem to want to be doing the job. It's also very poor customer service to speak another language, which was done quite frequently, during our visit. Good customer service is everything and this place failed. Been getting my nails done for 35 years.y second time both times were horrible. It is Very much an assembly line nail studio. Has an appointment for first appointments of the day there were 3 of us. Staff was scattered and over booked! I was left in the middle of my pedi so the tech could do another pedi. Sat for 20 minutes until finally someone that does the prep to finally come take the wax off. They wouldn't take the gel polish off my granddaughter without them doing a full service. I didn't complete my appointment because the timing was off the other 2 of our party were finished before they started with my nails. They were rude and very unprofessional.
