I have been traveling since May 1 in our RV with my husband and dog. We dropped our dog off at his Rover appointment, so we can fly to Mexico and meet family tomorrow for a family vacation. Racheal's work is like an Artwork , I had three nails that were broken and when she finished repairing them they were beautiful and you could not tell they were ever broken!! Oh man. I hate I have to do this, but here it goes... I came here with my coworker and had one of the worst experiences ever at a nail salon. We got pedicures and I got an eyebrow wax... The pedis came out great, and I was very satisfied. It wasn't up until the eyebrow wax... oh boy. First of all, all waxings are done behind a room divider, not an actual private ROOM. I didn't notice this until I saw them being someone behind their to get a wax. Doesn't look professional at all. So, the petite woman with glasses (can't recall her name) who did my toes, took me behind there to do my brows. Let me add- this place looks sketchy inside and out. It's TINY. They were very short staffed. Had women waiting almost an hour on a Tuesday to get something done. Back to the story. She lays me down on the salon bed. She gets her tools ready. Yada yada yada. She starts "waxing" my brows... but what is her definition of waxing? She started "waxing" my brows with what felt like tape. She didn't use the wax honey. She did that for about 3-4 minutes on ONE brow. That's way too long! Then out of nowhere she pulls out a thread and starts threading my brows. I was so confused but I had faith in her. This entire process took 10 MINUTES. It should NEVER take that long!! So I'm wondering.. is my eyebrow still there? She proceeds to tell me there's "something wrong" with my eyebrows, that there's a part where my hair isn't growing so she can't do too much to it. That may be true but never have I been told that EVER at any nail salon. She puts the mirror on my brows and I was immediately pissed at what I saw. My hair on my brows was THINNER than before, no thickness, no fullness, ABSOLUTELY NO SHAPE, and there were still brow hairs lingering on my brow bone that she never got off. This took a lot of time out of my day, considering i was in a rush. After I told her how unhappy I was, I made her stop doing what she was doing and told her I did not want to proceed or even try to let her fix it. I wanted nothing to do with this salon after this happened. I was infuriated. All I wanted was nicely shaped brows (there are plenty of hole-in-the-walls who can do this!!) She was sweating and stuttering because she knew she messed up. DO NOT. I REPEAT. DO NOT GO HERE TO GET YOUR BROWS DONE. read more

Very disappointed w/ the treatment received by Rachel & staff due to them overbooking themselves. I had an appt for 5pm. I got there a little early and all the pedicure chairs were full. Rachel or the other staff barely acknowledged me when I walked in and when they did , it was to tell me they were busy. I advised them I had an appt but it didn't seem to matter even after the client in Rachel 's chair advised her that she didn't have to polish her toes, but Rachel insisted it was ok. Really?? I came here on Friday to get my nails done with a friend from out of town. I will not be back. The appearance was overall dirty. Lots of nail dust on everything and nothing looked cleaned. None of their nail tools appeared to be sanitized and everything they used on me, they put right back in the box so I highly doubt these tools are being cleaned at all. The woman taking care of me at first was very fast and harsh. Didn't really ask my preference on anything and made me bleed by cutting my cuticle too far. She started on the gel manicure and didn't even ask me what color I wanted. I told her I wanted French for my pedicure and a light pink for my gel nails. I look away for one second and she starts messily putting the white tips on my nails. I told her I wanted light pink and so I pick a color out quickly and she starts layering it on and the color became very splotchy. Looked horrible but she didn't see it until I pointed out how bad it looked. She apologized and said she was supposed to do two nails at a time. At that point, they switched women and someone new started doing my nails and I picked a new color that wouldn't have any problems. She redid the whole manicure and spent 30 minutes scraping off the gel and starting fresh. She did a good job but she pushed my cuticles back so far and didn't paint all the way to the end. It's now 5 days after my manicure and my nails look awful. Very disappointed. They were finally ready to do my pedicure and I told them no because I didn't feel comfortable with the dirty tools. I would not recommend and am overall disappointed. They were friendly but extremely unorganized. read more

I've came here twice to get my gel manicure done. The first time she did my manicure good, but the gel polish I didn't like at all. It was so thick my nails looked fake. When I came for the second time I had another person do it. She did everything fine and I let her know not to put to much gel on my nails. Well guess what my nails didn't make it to the second week. I am not a local and stopped by this place for an SNS manicure while visiting family for the holidays. I don't know the name of my nail technician but she was friendly and attentive. The color and attention to detail for the SNS manicure was adequate, but I've never had such a horrible job done on my cuticles in my life. I left with 3/10 of my cuticles bleeding. The technician said she likes to make sure there isn't a "bump" where the powder meets the cuticle, but in avoiding that bump she ruined my cuticles with the drill. It's been 3 days and they are still scabbed and enflamed. This seems avoidable, unnecessary and most of all it seems unsanitary...I would like to think the first time you make a customer bleed you'd change your technique, but that was not the case. read more

Although this isn't the fanciest of nail salons, I am giving Queen Nails a 5 star rating because their service and quality make the somewhat dated interior worthwhile! Initially I went in thinking I was going to finally break down and go the "fake nail" route since it's practically impossible for me to get a manicure that lasts longer than 30 minutes after leaving the salon, plus my nails tend to break once they grow past the end of my fingertips. When I asked Rachel about it, she took one look at my nails and quickly convinced me that gel was actually a much better option because I have very healthy nail beds and the gel doesn't damage your nails at all. One of my favorite things about this place is the fact that each time someone walked through the door, Rachel greeted every one of them by name and asked how work was going, how that trip they were going on went or how the new move was treating them! It was obvious that her attention to detail transcends her clients' nails, which, in my opinion, is a huge selling point! My nails look amazing, Queen's prices are really reasonable and I love the friendly atmosphere and attention to detail. I will most certainly be a regular at Queen Nails! read more

The ladies greet everyone as they come through the door. There may only be a few ladies working but they are a well-oiled machine and can service a full shop in a timely manner. Three of us came as walk-ins and the shop was mostly full. We quickly got seats and had our feet soaking or hands lotioned in no time. It's a small shop but the staff is fantastic and quick. The prices are reasonable ($10 mani/$25 pedi). The atmosphere is very casual and the other patrons are friendly so it's a great place to relax and unwind for a bit. I really enjoys relaxing there and talking to the ladies while I got my nails done. However, the actual nails were pretty mediocre. I got my acrylics filled with gel color. I got the shape of my nails changed as well. The shape is a little bit inconsistent and the gel was a tiny bit messy. Not BAD by any means, just not that PERFECT manicure. The prices were very reasonable though so I didn't feel cheated. No one communicated the wait time to me, but I definitely didn't think I'd be waiting an hour. They apologized after I let them know I couldn't wait any longer. I don't know if I'd return though. The environment was not relaxing and the layout was off. I can't say enough about how much I look forward to having my nails done every two weeks. RACHEL has been doing my nails for nearly a year, and I have never been more satisfied. When I walk in the door, I'm always greeted so warmly by Rachel and each of her team members. I have always gotten the gel nails at Quean Nails. Never once have I been unhappy. My nails are so soft and thin. They used to stay broken down into the quicks, that is until I discovered this place. I had had gel polish before and wasn't satisfied. The nail salons that I had been to previously, the polish had just come off within four days or less. Since visiting Queen Nails, when Rachel does my nails, they last at least three weeks or more. The reason I became aware of Queen Nails is because one of the patients I was working with, I noticed her nails being so wonderfully manicured and polished so beautifully. I asked her where she got her nails done? They were just so pretty. She told me where she had gotten them done and that she had had that polish polished for almost three weeks. I was amazed! They look like she had just had them done. I asked her for the number and the name of the place where she went to get her nails done. That's the first time I became aware of Queen nails and have not regretted it one day since. I have been so very happy and have referred many, many people to Queen Nails because of strangers asking, "Where did you get your nails done, they are so beautiful! I went to get a fill in and have my nails filed down. They were awful they made my nails super thick and very uneven I had to keep telling her to reshape them she acted like she didn't care she rushed and they actually had major dips in the acrylic. And it was only a fill in i didn't know you could mess that up. I definitely wouldn't want her to do a full set. They are also pretty high priced. And the shop is very cluttered and actually plan filthy you can see the dust and grime on all the tables like they never wipe anything down. GROSS! I live near here so it's convenient but I will definitely try the nail salon behind them next time its next to biglots they had 5 stars and good reviews. I think it's called nail star. But waited 45 minutes and then left" beware they do not like to turn you away and will ask you to sit and say "20 mins" but it is a lie! You may wait over an hour! I went to this nail salon for the first time and was very disappointed. Sanitation of equipment was dismal. I watched my technician do a quick alcohol swab on the cuticle trimmers, which isn't sufficient for killing germs, especially because she didn't seem to actually get much alcohol on the trimmers. Then, luckily, she wasn't very good at pushing back and cutting cuticles so I wasn't concerned about her breaking the skin. But- you want your manicure to have nice cuticles! The location was ok. Outdated and cluttered, but it's a nail salon, not a spa. The worst - my manicure didn't last 24 hours. The polish was gummy & never dried - if anything hard touched my nails, even 18 hours later, part of the polish would be scraped off. I've never had this problem with any other manicure. I wonder if they are adding something to the polish to stretch the bottles so they last longer? I cannot recommend this salon. read more
