I used the Uber Eats app and ordered the $14 chicken and steak combo. The bag arrived with a tamper proof tape. I was disappointed because 70% of the delivery tin consisted of green peppers and some onions. There was only about 4-5 thin slices of chicken and 4-5 thin slices of steak. The slices were also small. I have ordered similar fajita combos in Mexican restaurants and I have gotten a lot more chicken and steak with the meal for a dinner. The food was tasty but I felt I was eating more of a green pepper sandwich. Please add more chicken & steak for a $14 dish. But let me tell you Queen of Tacos stuffs those birria tacos with PLENTY of meat so you'll be leaving like a stuffed potato. The Birria dipping soup that accompanies it is made just right. I thought at first I was going to burn my taste buds off and see stars but it has the right amount of heat that allowed for the dipping soup flavors to still come through. Not quite the best food I've had. I've been here several times and had more disappointing experiences than good. These are my paisas and I didn't want to give them a bad review. The food was pretty good, both affordable and tasty. I opted for the enchiladas with (my favorite) salsa verde. Having lived in California and being a Mexican cuisine foodie, I would say that I know a thing or two about tacos. I'm a new customer, and I've only been here twice, but I am a huge supporter of Queen of Tacos. Since moving to Yonkers in May, I've been on the hunt for the perfect taco. I was lucky enough to spot this little restaurant while I was riding the uptown 4 train, and I looked up the address when I got home. I sure am glad that I did. First and foremost, EXCELLENT tacos. And I'm a taco snob. I get them "deluxe," which includes tomatoes, sour cream, cheese, and lettuce in addition to the regular onion and cilantro. It's an extra 50 cents, but I like the added textures and flavors. They stuff their tacos to the brim, but they are magically not sloppy. I should have taken a picture of my plate after eating to show how clean it was. These are perfect, no-drip tacos. Also, every type of taco filling I've tried was flavorful, moist, and fresh. So far, that list includes steak, chorizo, and carnitas. The chorizo, with its subtle spicy kick, is my favorite. I've also tried the chicken enchiladas with salsa verde, and they were tasty, hearty, and very reasonably priced at $9 (also, I have to add, they're the most expensive thing on this affordable menu). This place is definitely not shy about the heat if you request it. The onions were tenderized and infused throughout the meat. The salsa verde was thick and authentic. The accompanying rice and beans were also very yummy (and finally, a place that serves pinto beans. My favorite.) The service here is friendly and accommodating. The food might take longer than other Mexican restaurants, but you can take comfort in knowing that your food is being prepared hot, fresh, and specifically for you. Nice little place! Stopped here with a friend last night before hitting a concert at Lehman Center. Portions are huge - bring something to haul the extra home - and very reasonably priced. I had a burrito with carnitas, and it was jam-packed with pork, avocado, rice, jalapenos, and all yummy things. My friend had a burrio al pastor, with plenty of pineapple. I usually call and order delivery which they offer and the girl who answers is cool -super easygoing and nice. They deliver pretty quickly and the guy who brings the food is always polite and comes up which I appreciate; I think he may be the boss too which is even more respectable. The tacos themselves are nicely sized and when you order "with everything" they put tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream- it comes with red and green hot sauces on the side too.
