Queen Street Delicatessen is one of those lovely places you drop by every now and then, to only wonder why you haven't been in so long. Just a casual saunter past the front window stacked with cakes is enough to put a smile on my face - but if you're feeling hungry or in need of a sugar hit, it can be downright dangerous.
This gourmet deli stocks the usual antipasto, specialty cheeses and smallgoods, plus olive oil, vinegar, marinades and a range of fresh fruit. I know some people who come here for specific products, so if you've been searching for a certain deli delight and haven't had luck finding it elsewhere, it's worth giving the Queen Street Deli a call. Sought-after products such as Maggie Beer's quince paste, Pukara Estate vinegar, Lomondo olive oil, The Stock Merchant's cooking stock (possible the prettiest packaging you'll ever see for stock!) and Ben & Jerry's ice-cream are all here.
