Stopped in to the Queen Street Diner for breakfast on a weekday morning. Ordered the Sausage gravy and biscuits, plus two eggs (over easy), a side of bacon, and water. Food came out fairly quickly. Everything was hot. My only gripe - and this applies to most of the diners I've visited - everyone makes their sausage gravy the same way - bland and under seasoned. I can see the bits of sausage in the gravy - but it does not taste "sausagey." I added a good bit of salt, pepper, and hot sauce - to give it some flavor. The bacon and eggs were cooked properly - and were tasty for what they are. Coffee was average - nothing to wow me. Service was good. Paid with cash. #QueenStreetDiner read more

This was a great little diner to visit while I was in Strasburg. I came here for breakfast before I hiked in the valley. This came from a recommendation from my brother, who unfortunately couldn't accompany me this time. Anyways, I decided to get the steak and eggs breakfast because I was starving and I needed something substantial to hold me over for me hike. The steak was surprisingly tender and delicious. I say surprisingly because I kinda thought it would be a Waffle House type of steak. But it could've been from a legit steakhouse. Really great cut of meat! The home fries were homemade. I got mine with onions which I highly recommend. The coffee was regular diner coffee. Pretty good but nothing super special. Does the job! I really liked that everyone seemed to know everyone. The small town feel had a special feeling to it. Reminded me of my hometown. I planned to hike 5 miles and ended up doing about 10 miles accidentally (don't ask). This breakfast held me over the entire time I hiked! Highly recommend! read more

had hair in my food. they proceeded to get a attitude when I asked for a refund saying they waited 30 min for me to get the food. which was a lie it was 8min confirmed with security footage. on top of that they denied any new orders from me. very unprofessional work here!! My sister and I went there after seeing the reviews, we were staying in Strasbourg for the weekend. I can not recommend this restaurant, even thought it was cheap our bill for lunch was $30.00. Food was good. Looked appetizing and tasted good. The waitress was great. She immediately took care of my 4yo niece and got her a coloring page and crayons. There didn't appear to be a kids menu. My niece ordered a cheeseburger and fries with an apple juice. My friend ordered a cheeseburger and fries and an unsweetened ice tea (which tasted glorious). I had a BLT and cheese/bacon fries with a Diet Coke. We had moved furniture all day and needed a quick decent meal. Got that here, for sure. But for that meal I paid $18+ per person. My family and I went one Sunday for a nice family meal, when for some reason the whole staff, and even the locals were very rude and made us feel very unwelcome, like we weren't supposed to be there. We were still deciding and after waiting another 15 minutes we paid for our drinks and left. They were rude. Went to Bretzels downtown and it was amazing. Turned out for the best. Got a tasty breakfast with handmade sausage patties and home fries with onions. Only issue came with billing/payment. While I did not know there would be an upcharge for adding onions to my home fries, there was zero notice of an extra charge for using a credit card. Literally tried 'Breakfast' from Strasburg to New Market and everywhere between. Queen Street hands down has been the best. Friendly Staff, and great breakfast. I've been meaning to write a review here for months and it just crossed my mind that I needed to get this done. This diner is comparable to the once well known "Hi Neighbor" restaurant which was located on Main Street in Strasburg. This little gem is sort of on the back side of Strasburg in a small little strip mall and has better parking available than Main Street did. Everyone here is extremely friendly. You feel like family while you are there. What I like best about this diner is the breakfast. This is the only place I know of that serves liver pudding and for those who don't know what that is I'll explain: Liver pudding is made up of organ meat (liver, kidneys, heart along with the "lights" or lungs) and any lean pork scraps from butchering. It is cooked along with sliced onions with salt and pepper to taste and sometimes the recipe calls for Allspice. Most people eat it on their hotcakes with extra chopped onion on top slathered with maple syrup. The coffee is really good and the servings are big breakfast size portions. It's a bit of a drive for me but when I get the opportunity I try to get up there for breakfast. They also have daily specials and the pricing is reasonable.
