Like so many other sleepless nights I laid awake in my bed, thinking about the bush that had uncontrollably developed above my eyes over the past three months. I finally decided to do something about it. I searched for threaders and waxers near my office, and realized I had this place bookmarked. I messaged Pratima on Yelp, asking to set up an appointment. It was 11 at night. I definitely was not expecting a response any time soon. Lo and behold, not eben 5 minutes after I sent my message, Pratima replied. I was able to set up an appointment for the next day. Her cute shop is located on a floor of a financial district building. When I walked in it reminded me of Disneyland. She sat me down in her chair and asked me how I wanted my eyebrows. I talked to her about why I always look like The Rock and that I've been trying to even them out. She went over geometric calculations and Pythagorean theorems to basically explain to me that my eyebrows are f*cked. She then tried her best to work with what I had, and voilà, I no longer have a sleeping raccoon chillin on my forehead. She was cool about using my Yelp check-in, so tip her well! read more

The prices are very reasonable, especially being located in downtown San Francisco, plus in the center of Market St. It is a hidden gem, but glad I was able to find it. I've been coming here for the past few months as my previous eyebrow gal had her first baby and had super limited hours and QueenP is more convenient with hours and availability. Pratima usually does my brows (for the past 6 months or so about once a month) and she is amazing. She gets 5 stars for helping to grow my brows out, keeping them long and full and natural looking and not laughing at me when I squirm from the pain (the right eyebrow always hurts so much more than the left!) Yesterday I had another gal (not sure of her name as she didn't introduce herself but she was pregnant) do my brows. I asked her to keep them long and as full as possible. I ended up with the thinnest and shortest brows I have had since 2005. All my hard work to grow them out gone :( they don't fit my face and I'm pretty disappointed with them. Trying to fix with brow powder now so I can go to work, but it still looks pretty ridiculous. I'm hoping they grow out quickly with the holidays coming up. Unfortunately there is no way they will get back by thanksgiving (cue the bad jokes from the family). **update Pratima reached out to me today, refunded my money and offered to fix my brows before Christmas, so I'm updating from 2 stars to 4. Pratima is one of the most gentle threading technicians I've ever been to. Most usually cut my eyebrows in some way or the other but she paid so much attention to detail and made sure that I was fine throughout. My only complaint (if any) is the price - I paid $23 (with tip) for eyebrows and upper lip threading but I guess that's because of the studios prime location. Would definitely recommend over other threading salons nearby. read more

Argh. I hate writing negative reviews but it needs to be done when you get burned while getting an eyebrow wax. I was really excited about the spot given all the great reviews. Came in with a Groupon. Loved the shaping done by Susma on my brows. Sadly about 2 hours later I noticed a tender burning above my brow and eyelid. Bummer! The reason that I haven't given them 1 star is because I called Susma and she was very attentive. While of course she couldn't help me with my burn, she did offer me a complimentary threading. My advice? Proceed cautiously with waxing here. Maybe threading is really their thing. read more

I've been going to Pratima for like 4 years and I've loved the results. Over the years, I'd get compliments on my eyebrows. My skin is super sensitive,so even after going to her at least twice a month for 4 years, the skin around my eyebrows can break out and get red/irritated, but nothing like aloe to soothe the aftermath. I've also noticed the high volume of people literally waiting in line for her. So, I highly suggest booking an appointment, IN ADVANCE! I like to set up my appointments at least 1-2 weeks in advance. It sounds crazy, but she can get booked solid. Pratima is just one of the nicest ladies I've ever met in my life. I've been to other people, not in this salon, but others, where I got accidentally punched in the eye and the sheer force of the staff member created the loudest threading sound WITH bloody red streaks. With Pratima, the complete opposite will happen. I have decided that I will see Pratima and her equally nice sister, Susma, for all of my brow needs until the day I die. read more

More than two years later and Pratima is still my girl!!! My eyebrows are more complicated to do considering one is naturally thinner than the other, but Pratima never disappoints. She always threads them beautifully and the shape always looks great, and she will always make sure to thoroughly clean up your eyebrows by threading away all of your stray hairs and even trims your eyebrows so they can look cleaner and overall have a better shape. Susma has also done my eyebrows before but I never get to see her due to our opposite schedules, but she is just as great as Pratima. I literally do not trust anyone else to do my eyebrows. Additionally, as expected, they are doing a wonderful job during COVID as I felt very safe and comfortable like how I would long before these difficult times. They clean and sanitize their tools after every client, wipe and spray the seats down, and provide hand sanitizer and wipes too, plus and the bathroom is super clean as well. Fast, efficient, gentle, and takes walk-ins! Everything is right about this cute little threading salon in 660 Market. If you haven't been to 660 Market, it is on Market just between Montgomery/New Montgomery and 3rd. If you see Ginto and Bun Mee, you are on the right block! You walk straight in and up the spiral staircase..and it's the straight ahead in suite 202. I walked in today right around noon and just happened to beat the lunchtime rush. Service was friendly and honestly, the LEAST painful threading experience I've ever had. I'm not sure how she did it, but she got all the stupid short hairs and left my eyebrows clean and not too skinny. Fantastic spot! I came here for 2 different services - eyebrow and Brazilian wax. This place is definitely a lot more specialized in eyebrow waxing/threading than the latter. I thought they did a great job for my eyebrows but my experience with the Brazilian was pretty horrifying. Hence, the 2 stars. I would have given a 5 star if I had just gotten the threading. The services were also done by 2 different girls. I wish I knew their names so i could specify. Regardless, I would say just stick to eyebrows and nothing else. It was my first time here but I wish I knew this before I came and that's why I'm writing this review now (although a few months too late). For the Brazilian wax, they take you to a separate room. I was definitely concerned about the cleanliness because they didn't wipe down the bed, I don't recall them using those sanitary sheets that you can rip off after each use (like at the dr's office), and the girl RE-USED the strips throughout the entire process. Normally, they just throw the strip away after yanking off your hairs the first. Getting a Brazilian is painful enough without them trying trying to use what's left of it to clean off the rest of the area. The girl was clearly not very experienced with waxing the nether regions. I've done this enough to know who's good and who's not. How do I know when they're bad? 1) It hurt. ALOT. 2) It took MULTIPLE tries for the same area. 3) I had to ask for some wet naps to clean off the wax because it was a mess down there and the whole experience was just unpleasant. read more

This is my 4th time coming here and let me just say THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!! I've lived in SF for 2 years now and was sad to depart from my brow lady back home. After doing my yelp research I found this gem of a place! The place is a small suite and very nicely decorated, it's super chic. Also, cleanliness is obviously very important and this place is spotless! The two ladies that work there, Pratima and Susma are both super kind and gentle but most importantly do a perfect job. I've had both of them do my brows on separate occasions and they're amazing! Not only do they do a great job but are fast! When they're done threading, they will offer you some aloe vera which for me is super great since I get very red after I get threading done. Not to mention they're super punctual and I've never had to wait! The price is not bad either. It's obviously a little bit more than I was used to in SoCal but it's SF, am I right? I came across QueenP on Yelp when I was looking for an eyebrow place near FiDi. It's conveniently located on Market St in Sola Salon Studios which is actually a bunch of hair salons, threading/waxing/spa services, etc. - everything but nails, as far I know. One thing I really liked is that I was able to a book a same-day appointment online, and first visit was only $12 instead of the usual $14 if you check in with Yelp. Yes, please! The girl (sorry, can't remember her name) who did my eyebrows was friendly and did a great job of cleaning them up and shaping them. I was really happy with the results and I'm sure I'll consider QueenP again the next time I want some threading work done. read more

It was my 3rd time coming in as a walk in. Never had met the women that did my services before. I asked for a full face of a threading, she said she didn't have time for full face so we compromised and I said ok no eyebrows or forehead. By the way I had just gotten threaded 5 days ago so in no way was the job that intense anyway, I just wanted a touch up for an event. She charged me for a full face still and when I asked her why I was being charged for something I didn't get (eyebrows) her response was that she didn't have enough time. I was dumbfounded at the logic and felt completely taken advantage of for the shotty work and for being a walk in which says is welcomed. Not only did she messed up my eyebrows, she was rude. From the beginning, she was not friendly. It felt like she didn't want to be there. QueenP's Threading Salon is in a building that has a mini mall of beautician shops in it. I love the concept! It's kind of like a one stop shop. Anyway, you have to enter a number of the business into the keypad on the outside of the building and then it will dial and then unlock the door (maybe just after hours? I don't know. It was my first time here). Then the mini mall was on the second floor. I showed up announced (sans appointment) on a Thursday at 6:30 pm. I'm assuming Pratima was the first woman I initially saw and she was busy threading another woman, so I asked her if she had time to do another. The other woman there was not busy, so she had her thread my eyebrows. We went to another room in the back and she just did them there. She did a great job! I just wanted them cleaned up for a wedding and they came out so good! I also had my upper lip threaded. It took maybe 15 minutes and cost me $20 for both eyebrows and upper lip. Happy customer.
