This is my favorite place for BBQ! I love the ambiance; specifically the wood ceilings and industrial lighting. I wanted to order everything on the menu, but opted for the fried chicken benny and avocado fries. The chicken was crispy and the eggs were delightfully runny. It was delicious! They also had some unique dishes on the menu (e.g., pork bao sliders and butter chicken wings) - I have to come back and try them. Overall great experience at this restaurant. This place didn't meet my expectations. I thought it was going to be great through and through and it wasn't. The burger I had was pretty good and the fries also. It doesn't seem like they serve soda...I asked for one and they told me they didn't have. I asked for an iced tea and also was told they didn't have. I ended up just drinking water...I'm pregnant and I wasn't going to go for their alcohol. We ordered the Mac n cheese with bacon and it had no flavor. I expected a lot more of it especially with bacon in it. I actually brought it home and warmed it up and added seasonings myself. My boyfriend had the pulled pork and even tho he said it was good it wasn't "pulled". I know that may not matter but I try to make these as detailed as possible. They were slices not pulled. Went in for taco Tuesday and happy hour. Very affordable tacos and good size. The tacos are modeled more for like a gastropub feel, sorta gourmet. I was hoping for some good street taco style carne asada with salsa, cilantro and onion but they were good. I ordered all of them and only liked the pork and avocado one. The chicken taco was a mix of BBQ sauce and horseradish so it wasn't my favorite. The beers were super cheap and delicious. Service was great. Ambience is trendy. read more

I live not far and decided to try it finally, they have a very nice heated outdoor space and i thought it is great. However the fooooood, we ordered wings HORRIBLE couldn't eat one. My kids ordered the "house burger" it was bad. We are foodies and eats in a lot of places. You need to be very special to make bad French fries in a restaurant. I came by a couple of weeks ago with a fellow Yelp Elite friend, Audrey. We waited for about 1.5 hours for our brunch order (only two things!) to come through. The order took so long and our sever felt bad so he kept mentioning he would grab us some drinks. After I had one, he asked if he could grab my friend one since were waiting for so long. We both clearly thought they were providing us drinks due to the 1.5 hour wait. However, the bill came and we were charged full price for the drinks. I normally don't ask for anything, but he really insisted on these things and made it sound like they would be complimentary. As for the food, it was delicious! I totally do not recommend this venue. I saw the reviews. I read the food violations- which are many. But I still gave it a try bc it was on the restaurant week list. I assumed bc it was on the list that it is vetted - was I wrong. The service from the start was bad- the hostess bad attitude The waiter was frustrated, not good communicator, and wasn't informed of the workings of the place (We ordered drinks and never came- we had to remind him 30 mins later. We ordered off the restaurant week menu, waiter took our orders only to come back 15 mins later to tell us that they are not participating - even though he let us order, and it says so online. Smh) Food- the food was not great at all. I would say barely decent : and I'm being nice by saying that . I would say this place is living to its potential and it is not worth your time nor money. I had high expectations for Queen bully, after seeing the photos and reviewing the reviews. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed.... First there were 3 of us, and we were seated at a table for 2. There were lots of open tables, so I'm not sure why they set us at a small table which left no elbow room, and was uncomfortable. Second, typically when you sit down at a table a glass of water is brought out to the table. We literally had to ask for a glass of water 4 times, and I was half way done with my food before the water finally came. We ordered 3 entree dishes off of the brunch menu, and a Mac N cheese for the table. All of our dishes came out, except the Mac N cheese because the waitress did not put in the order. Once we reminded her of the Mac she put in the order, and while waiting we continue to ask for water, ketchup and utensils so we could eat our food. One of the entrees my friend order, the grits with Catfish had a PIECE OF HAIR in it! We were all very disappointed in the service and I believe the table next to us was as well because they left before before even ordering, due to no one ever coming to get their order. If this place has anything going for it it's the food! Everyone in party enjoyed their food, my waffles and chicken tasted good and the Mac N cheese, but would I come back here again? I'm sorry, I've tried so many times with Queens Bully, but they just can't deliver a consistently good food or dining experience. Have I had good food there? Yes, though not in long time. If you eat there off hours, you might be able to get in and out without anything going wrong, but if you go at any of their rush times, the service is terrible. The servers are nice but the wait times for everything are way too long. The only good thing I can say is that the portions are decent. But seriously, the food is often straight up bad. It's been awhile since we last had BBQ! Hub was craving for a good BBQ spot after eating take-out for the past few weeks. Some of the best spots in the city- Dinosaur, Country Hill were closed during COVID. We were in the Forest Hills area and passed by this spot that was opened late. As it was Father's Day and our anniversary, we figured to order take-out. We were taking it back home to enjoy. We ordered the following for our family of 4: -Bully Wings Garlic Parmesan: wings were generous portion. We had left overs. It wasn't too bad. It had a buttery rich sauce. -Cheddar Mac: Our kiddos loved it. It had the gooey cheddar cheese pull. Each bite was rich and creamy. -Skillet Cornbread: We had better cornbread. Their version also had a hint of cheddar cheese on the bottom. It made it taste similar to the mac and cheese. A bit disappointing. -BBQ Meat Sampler- half rack, half brisket, half pulled pork with potato salad, coleslaw, pickles, and toast: half rack and half brisket was simply too dry. A lot of slabs of fat were given too. The pulled pork was the only decent item out of the meat sampler. Their BBQ sauce didn't help with the meats. It was a sweet paste instead of the tangy flavor. The staff did a superb job on packaging everything. All the containers were double-wrapped. They also included all the sides with condiments and utensils neatly wrapped and packaged. Everything was tucked inside a brown paper bag ready to go. Overall, it's ok if you're in the area and it's open til 9pm for take-out/delivery. There's also a page with some COVID take-out & delivery specials that I didn't catch earlier. Make sure to go through that menu first before placing your order. We end up spending more on the regular menu. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the typical BBQ fare. I'll stick with the city spots by us next time. read more

We came here on Saturday for an afternoon brunch and it was so worth it! I didn't realize all weekend was indoor dining for Valentine's Day, but I'm so glad it was, cause it was freezing outside! We started off our brunch with some mimosas and had the peach and mango drinks to mix it with our champagne. Then we shared the creamy Mac n cheese with pulled pork in it and it was so delicious! We also had some butter chicken and lemon pepper wings, the lemon pepper wings were so good!!! I have been wanting to try this place for the longest time, and finally made my way here last Sunday around 2pm. We had reservations and were seated right away. The place wasn't really packed - in fact, it was less busy than any other brunch spot that I've been to in Queens. We placed our drink orders as soon as we arrived, and the drinks took about 15 minutes to arrive (we only ordered coffee And mimosas - no complicated cocktails). I ordered the salmon eggs Benedict and it took the longest to come. My friends were all half way through their meal before they finally brought mine out. I cut into the poaches eggs to discover that the yolks were well done, and not runny at all. I told them that the eggs were overcooked, and they went back in and came out 15 mins later with the replacement eggs which were undercooked to the point that the slimy egg whites were oozing out of it. Please see the attached photo. I was so disappointed at them screwing it up twice, that I didn't even bother complaining another time. Instead, I ordered a second drink - a Sierra Nevada Summer Fest. The waitress comes over to me and opens a can of Tropical Cider. I told her that wasn't what I ordered, and told her I ordered the Summer Fest and pointed to the list of drafts on the chalkboard. She looked at me as if that was the first time she ever heard of that beer, and then looked back up at the board to confirm that they did have that draft. Food was ordered via GrubHub--- The Frozen Painkiller was still mid-frozen when it arrived, which was expected since it was delivery (I popped it in the freezer for about 10 minutes to firm it back up to a nice slushy consistency---tasted on point and very refreshing! Food arrived hot. The Parmesan Garlic Wings were tasty but a bit dry (I noticed others pointing out in their reviews on GrubHub the same complaint but my husband wanted to order wings so....I couldn't make it past just the one. 3 pc. Fried Chicken had a very odd smell---upon further inspection, it was undercooked and still pink inside and parts of it completely raw.... Threw that out so can't comment on the taste. Ordered the BBQ meat combo---the half rack of ribs and pulled pork was very tasty!! Drizzled some of the Damn Bro sauce ontop (highly recommend that sauce---I can see why it has that name) and the brisket was soft and flavorful. Mac n Cheese was good---nice consistency, well seasoned and a generous portion, albeit a bit watery. A complimentary cornbread was in the bag (at least I assume it was complimentary as nothing was marked on the receipt or during ordering) which was appreciated. Would I order again? Got burgers and some sides recently, there was no wait after I ordered on their website. The burgers were not that great to be honest, the bread was soggy but I think it's because it was a takeout order. Sadly that's what we have to live with now if we're not ready for dining in yet. The portions were really generous, we couldn't finish the fries that came with the burgers! I'd definitely be back but perhaps next time I'll pick up and eat in the car immediately. :) read more

Came here with a few friends for dinner. I feel like this place is pretty cool, but the food here is very hit or miss. For appetizers we had the cheddar mac and cheese that we added brisket on top of. the brisket was definitely very well cooked, but not sure if it is worth it for the extra $7 that you have to pay. You can get half a pound for double that. The mac and cheese though was very good. We also got the BBQ fries skillet which was also amazing. Would highly recommend getting that to share if you are not getting a dish that comes with fries. Onto the entrees. My friend got a brisket sandwich. It looked very good but there were noticeable pieces of meat that were simply pure fat and inedible. I got the bully burger which was very well cooked and delicious. The fries were also very well seasoned and so good. My friend got a naan pizza, which was also very delicious. I'm not sure how much meat was on it, as I saw it after it was mostly eaten, but I had a bite and it was pretty good. Overall, the place has pretty awesome vibes, and very good service. I would say that the food is either very good, or so so, so just be weary and read the reviews of the other people on yelp to figure out what is good if you come back here. Since moving to forest hills, I've heard of this place and some good pictures or reviews. First thing to note is that the interior design of the restaurant it's really beautiful. The maple Cheyenne butter was ok. The waffle itself had a weird taste. Idk what it was, but it made me want to throw up. I couldn't even finish the dish and for $20 being one of their main food... it was rather disappointing. My cravings were definitely not satisfied. The waffle tasted like they mixed something bitter in the batter. It had a terrible after taste. Maybe it's the Cheyenne butter or something. Idk, but definitely don't think I'd be coming back for the chicken and waffles waffle at all. The presentation was also poorly done. Maybe if it was separated instead of having the fried chicken on top because the waffle tasted too oily as well. My bf had the fish and chips. While we expected this dish to be ok, turns out it was better than the chicken and waffles. The fish had a good flavor to it but presentation was just average. For an appetizer, we tried the Mac and cheese with short ribs. This dish I was also excited for but it was also just ok. The Mac and cheese could use some flavor and the short ribs was able to mask the bland flavor in the Mac and cheese. I really wanted to love this place but for $20 for 3 types of main meals, I wasn't really satisfied with the idea of spending this amount for mediocre food. We chose Queens Bully as our first sit down restaurant (outdoors obviously) to eat at in Forest Hills since this Covid craziness happened. We were so glad to have chosen it too, for a number of reasons: 1) probably the cutest decor and setup in the neighborhood. These guys went all out to make outdoor dining just as special as it would've been indoors. 2) true social distancing adhered to here. I felt very safe and comfortable eating here as they really do distance tables from one another 3) great service - and this is huge when we all know how much restaurants have had to reduce staff. Despite, the servers were on top of things and just wonderful. 4) last but not least the food: delicious! We got the mac n cheese with bacon and cauli bites to start - yum yum yum! I got the Astoria Lamb burger and loved the chutney touch - also amazing fries on the side! So glad we came and truly hoping the business stays strong through this hard time! read more

Food was delicious. Cornbread is definitely a must try. Their BBQ is decent. The pulled pork was dry. However, the brisket and wings made up for it. The drinks are delicious. Fried avacado was pretty good. Wasn't expecting that. Staff is friendly. However, there was a band that was playing... It sounded terrible and was obnoxiously loud. It made our dining experience towards the end unbearable. Literally would have had another drink or two if it wasn't for the band. However, I'll be back for that delicious cornbread! This was my first time coming here. It was a random Wednesday so I got seated immediately. Every table had hand sanitizer which I thought was nice. My waiter was cool, but I was waiting on my shot for a long time. Just for them to tell me they didn't have what I wanted (but I was sitting next to the bar and I'm 80% sure I saw the bottle I requested on the shelf full). Came here to eat dinner and I was not only blessed with a great live performance, but also top notch food! May I also add how aesthetically pleasing the decor of this place was too! I can tell Queens bully really lives up to it's name (not the bully part) because of how diverse the menu was. The menu consists of one page of such different food options that it made it so hard to decide exactly what to get. From appetizers to entrees, it was overwhelming (and not in the bad way)! The names of foods on the menu was super clever and cute, such as the Kew Burger and the Bayside Brisket. For an appetizer ("shares" part of the menu), I got the avocado fries! How do you even fry an avocado? I don't know, but my friend and I did not regret our decision to start off our dinner with this. The fries had golden crunchy outside with an intact perfect smooth avocado inside. It was delicious and I wish they had put more on our plate. The fries also came with two sauces -- chipotle and white bbq aioli sauce! As a person who's picky with sauces, I was thoroughly impressed - esp since I'm not a fan of chipotle sauce. I really did like the white bbq sauce more, but both sauces were great when paired with the fries and also for the chips I had later on in my meal here. Moving onto my main meal! - I got the Bangkok Burger and it was DELICIOUS! A perfect mix of spicy and sweet. I thought I was going to take advantage of the fact that there were $3 tacos as the Tuesday special, but I couldn't because of how filling the burger was. From the pork shrimp patty to the even the bun itself, the Bangkok Burger was cooked to perfection! Even though my stomach was bulging from the food I'd eaten so far, I decided to indulge in a banana bread pudding. It's enough to share for two or even three people! I loved the waiter's service and how patient and willing he was to go over the things on the menu. He had such chill vibes and it added on to the great ambience and experience I had here! Our drinks was not ready so while we waited she gave us a Bellini on the house. I tried the frozen painkiller and it was good. It's one of those drinks that could sneak up on you if you drink more than one because of how sweet it is. For my meal I got the chicken & waffles and it was good. The chicken was freshly made & not fried too hard. All of the COVID rules was followed. When you first walk in you get a temperature check, the staff has on gloves & mask. They have hand sanitizer. I can't believe it took me so long to discover this place. The first time I came here, it was after work on a Wednesday for Ladies night. I instantly loved the ambiance in the place. DJ ButchRock was DJ'ing and the music was off the hook. I ordered the smoked brisket and the smoked jerk wings. Omg they were so delicious!!! The bartender made really awesome drinks. The staff was super friendly and they always came by to make sure we were good and didn't need anything. The general manager, Jerry was such a nice guy. My girl and I had the Mac and cheese with brisket which I thought would be AMAZINGGGG because how can you possibly mess up Mac and cheese with brisket. But Queens Bully somehow managed to not only disappoint my appetite (I was starving and could eat dog feces and think it's delicious yet after eating this I would've preferred dog feces) but also entirely bomb the meal into Hiroshima.
