My mom went to to see the dentist Gargi Gajera and was treated very badly by her. She spoke to my mom in a condescending tone and wasted her time by taking x-rays and at the end not giving my mom a cleaning because she "has other patients". However, if my mom were to have chosen to go ahead and get the expensive procedure of getting a crown on her, the dentist would have magically had time for that. Go figure. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere unless you aren't a fan of basic human decency and professionalism. P.S. I will mention that everyone else that my mom dealt with at this office was super kind and helpful. read more

I could not be happier with the experience I had at Glen Oaks Dental Professionals. For me, going to the dentist has always been something that has given me much anxiety and fear since I was a little kid. I often avoided many visits to the dentist because of this. However when I arrived at the Glen Oaks office the front desk staff, all of who were extremely warm and friendly, immediately welcomed me. The ambiance of the reception area was very nice as well, I was able to grab a bottle of water and read current magazines before I went back to meet Dr. Shah. Dr. Shah was not only kind and professional, but I felt as though he was talking to me as a friend rather than a patient. I am a very inquisitive person and many times have thought that the dentists I have been to in the past were not personable and did not make me feel comfortable. Dr. Shah allowed me to ask as many questions as I needed to understand my treatment options. He was extremely thorough, while making me feel comfortable the whole time. For the first time in my life I can actually say that I will be looking forward to coming in for my dental appointments. I would highly recommend to anyone that has a fear of the dentist or anyone in general for that matter to come to the Glen Oaks Dental office. You will not be disappointed. read more

This is my second visit to this place and feel that I have a clear view of enough staff and facilities to give a fair review. Firstly, I'd like to say that I like the place and the staff, my issue is that it's waaaaaay expensive and over budget EVEN IF YOU HAVE INSURANCE which is ridiculous. I've seen both Dr. Shahs, senior and junior. They're both efficient and nice people. I like supporting family businesses which made me choose thus place to begin with and this is one, father, son, daughter in law, etc. Unfortunately after going there several times as well as referencing people to them i have a clear picture of what's going on there. Yes they are nice people on the surface, yes they talk a good talk and stress to you the importance of proper dental care, advises you on the correct course of action then.. They completely take you for every dime they can get from you. I went in the last time for a simple cleaning. I have full insurance. At the end of it all they charged me $400 for my cleaning.. In addition to charging my insurance company! I couldn't believe it. When i went in for an explaination I was met with a lot of double talk from the ladies up at the front desk. The doctors wouldn't see me to explain why in the world a simple cleaning would cost so much, I was blocked at every turn. They're already 20%-30% more expensive for crowns, fillings and the rest of their services, now I'm done with them. I'm disappointed, upset and now on the quest for another dentist. Save yourself the long term aggravation. Go to someone else. read more

Dr. Gajera is amazing!!!! Her staff helpful and attentive. She is thorough and answers all your questions and really puts any anxiety you may have to rest. Throughout my cleaning she asked if I was okay and told me what she was doing and how she was doing it. I am now sending all my family members to her. I've had all types dental work done since I was little and I have to say that this dental office is by far the best I've been to. They really make you feel at home and seem to remember all the patients that come through that door, which considering the typical anxiety associated with the dentist, allows very comforting and enjoyable experience. For 3 years I have had nothing but a positive experience each and every time I've had an appointment. From regular checkups to crowns and fillings, the friendly staff and doctor's always make you feel comfortable and make sure you leave with a smile on your face. read more

I went for a cleaning. The office and equipment are in good condition. The staff is overall nice and the hygienist, Allegra, is good. However, my appointment took 2+ hours. The dentist told me this is normal for a Saturday. The dentist did not spend much time with me other than to see my x-rays; I had to ask for someone to check out a tooth that was bothering me. The second dentist told me it was a cavity. Not sure if the first dentist missed it or the second dentist made it up but I can't say I have much faith. They burned a candle in my room and played strange music the entire time I was waiting (2.5 hours) in the exam room. It was annoying. Turned out they are not in the Metlife network. I did not see Dr. Haresh Shah but they billed my insurance under his name. I will not be returning. read more

I absolutely hate going to the dentist, but this place changed my entire outlook. The first day I went, I felt like I was a patient who have been going there for years. They told me what work needs to be done, they walked me through all the steps and I felt so comfortable being there. I was having a bit of pain in my gum and tried to get an appointment closer to home which was impossible. This place had a few openings but it's a 25 min ride from house but I took the chance and it worked out well. Dr. Gajera has a great bedside manner and answered any and all questions I had. She took the time to tell me everything that was going to happen as we went through the visit and didn't really try to hard sell me anything. Based on my x-rays she recommended braces or invisialign but I already knew that was going to happen since a dentist had recommended it to me many years before. I also have a chip in the back of my front tooth and she filled it fairly quickly. The visit was painless and anxiety free. The dental hygenist was also very nice and explained everything she did during the cleaning. Again no pain or anxiety. I did speak with the gentleman who handles the financing for the invisilaign and I will say that his approach to "selling" me didn't sit well. He went through the normal speel of why you should get them, etc. but I really wanted to know the cost which I'm sure isn't cheap. When I told him that I knew I needed braces for some years but I never got them due to the possible price he kind of laughed at me and gave off this condescending tone as if braces cost $20 and I should have had them years ago. That was a turn off for me but I still made another appointment for a consultation. 2 weeks later I came back and my appointment wasn't even in the system. So annoying. I ended my making another appointment and the consultation visit was better. The same gentleman I spoke with on my first visit didn't seem to remember me or our convo, so it went better and I finally got a price estimate and took the molds. Overall I would say that this place is pretty good, most of the staff are very nice and considerate and the experience was good. I'll be spending some time here so I'll definitely be update soon. read more

I could not recommend this dental office more highly. They have the top of the line technology with a new intraoral scanner and a CT machine that made it so much quicker to get my treatment done for implants. The staff was very warm and inviting and Dr. Kavi and Dr. Gajera really made me feel at ease. All the doctors worked together to make sure my treatment was flawless. read more

Once in the chair, the dentists make you feel extremely comfortable and at ease with any procedures that needed to be done. First let me begin by saying I've always gotten great service at this dental office and have recommended them to a number of friends and family members, however I went in for a cleaning today when I got home 20 minutes later I got a call from the office stating that they forgot to give me a bill for $800 for a crown that I did back in June 2019. The receptionist told me to hold on for a lady in Billing as she wasn't at liberty to answer my questions regarding my deductible and so forth. A Ms Dipti came on the phone and immediately started blabbering, she refused to listen or allow me to speak when I finally got a word in I asked her if I can get copies of what was submitted to my insurance company she immediately got defensive and stated that I'm the only customer that ever asked for proof she even had the nerve to call me rude, now although I have no problem paying a balance which I already did in 2019 what I will not do is just fork out money without asking questions, clearly Ms Dipti thinks I'm an illiterate immigrant, because she's can't provide any of the information I'm asking for she then tells me she has canceled my balance and now I owe nothing then she hanged up the phone on me. Shame on you Ms Dipti. I could've given a 5 stars for Doctor/patient service, but that arrogant lady ruined what could've been a highly satisfied experience. Ask questions, keep track of all your payments and deductibles. read more

Well last time I went I didn't like how they cleaned my teeth I was better off brushing my teeth at home n using my mouth wash!

I removed my lower wisdom tooth there the other day (only one tooth). The staff and dentists are nice however be prepared to wait extremely long for an extraction. My appointment was set at 3pm so I arrived at 230pm. The extraction took place at 630ish.. So although Dr David herring is great he is over booked at this location. I believe he comes to this location twice a month just for wisdom tooth extractions, with lots of clients so be prepared to wait several hours. read more

Be sure to verify with your insurance BEFORE making an appointment with these liars! I am experiencing a dental emergency & was so happy to hear that this location accepted my insurance. However, upon checking with my insurance I was told they are not participating. When I called the office back to find out about the incorrect information given the receptionist keep insisting they did in fact "work with" my insurance. She then placed me on hold to have the dentist come on to tell me they "absolutely do not" participate with my insurance & they berate me. I am glad I did not make the trip to be humiliated & left in pain. What a joke of a dentist office. Lying about participating with insurance is essentially fraud. read more

My first visit to Glen Oaks Dental was for emergency treatment of a painful abscessed tooth. Dr. Kavi Shah saw me promptly, thoroughly investigated the problem, consulted with his colleagues, diagnosed the problem, explained his proposed treatment, and arranged immediate surgery by Dr. Deering. The result was a painLESS and successful procedure. The practice impressed me in every way. I plan to return to Dr. Kavi for routine care and am encouraging friends and family members to consider Dr. Shah if they are less than 100% happy with their dental care providers. read more

worst dentist place ever. they are just in to making money, they treat there patients like ginny pigs. they will scare you and rush you into procedures that are'nt necessary to make money and make your mouth even worst. they did a procedure for me and charged my insurance something else because the procedure they did for me they needed approval from my insurance which they werent going to get because i didnt need it. and then did another procedure which i had to pay from my pocket. all these procedure did for me was destroy my mouth. dont go here unless for a cleaning and fillings. read more
