Nobody likes to get blood work done, so it's kind of hard to give any place that does blood work 5 stars. This one does deserve four though for the reasons I'll spell out below. First, the bad. If you've never been to this location, it's not easy to find. I had to look at the directory to see it was office 121. (It might be on my text, but I wasn't looking at that when I arrived.) Second, the door is very office-like. The only thing to tell you it is Quest is the small sign to the left of the door. When you open the door, I found the room very cold and not very inviting at all. It was also most like a futuristic movie where AI is going to be your host. There's nobody to greet you, only a TV playing Quest information, and 2 check-in terminals. You also can't check in until 10 minutes before you're appointment. Assuming you've done everything on your phone, all you have to do is watch the countdown timer and check-in that way. That was actually super easy. A few minutes later I received a text saying to make sure I'm in the waiting room as I'll be called shortly, and within about 3 minutes, I was called back, right at my scheduled time. That was pretty impressive considering someone who didn't make an appointment was sitting there and said the wait was 30-40 minutes. I've heard it's longer without an appointment so if you can, make one! Once I was invited back, everything was super smooth. Everyone was super nice, very thorough, and I was out in less than 5 minutes. There was no bruising either. Another downside though is the restroom situation. It's on the outside and you have to get a key from someone to use them. That sucks if you're already done and heading home. All in all, I can't complain. I wish the waiting room was a little more welcoming. but it is bright, there are a lot of chairs, and masks available if you wanted one. read more

Didn't have the best experience at this Quest site -- it's my first and probably last time going to this location. For one, they are tucked inside a small medical facility in the middle of a neighborhood in Anaheim Hills. I felt a bit lost until I pulled into the parking lot. Since it was still early in the morning, plenty of parking was available. Wandering for a little bit, I found their facility. It was kind of eerie because no one was inside the waiting area. I had made an appointment prior to getting there, so I was the only name that flashed on the waiting room screen. Trigger Warning: blood draw details I was called within a couple minutes and looked forward to my quick blood draw. Unfortunately this is when it took a turn. The phlebotomist taking my blood was NOT good. She felt around the crook of my right arm while chatting away with me, stuck the needle and couldn't get blood to come out. She proceeds to move the needle around. Ouch. Then she feels my left arm and asks if I was hydrated (I thought I was). She then quickly gives up and says she's going to take blood from my hand. Let me tell you, NOT a fun experience and it is more painful to get blood drawn from there. For a phlebotomist this should be the absolute last place you check and she didn't even try more than once on my arms. Though I did receive friendly customer service, it was not the quality painless experience I've gotten at other Quest sites. Please be warned for next time you get labs done here. read more

If you have a child with special needs, or are caring for an adult child with special needs, DO NOT GO TO THIS LAB. SHOUT OUT TO CHRISTINA- the QUASI-MANAGER at the Anaheim Hills Quest location, who was RUDE and MEAN to my son and to me. She made sure to butt in, while my son was having his blood drawn by another phlebotomist, to berate us both. The anxiety a person with autism and JRA experiences on a daily basis, let alone a day where they have to get bloodwork done, is indescribable. Being a caregiver and parent, watching my son suffer DAILY with physical pain from his juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and mentally with autism, and severe OCD, and THEN add on this lady giving my son and me a LECTURE about bringing in too many lab orders, and how it's our fault that people like us bring in too many orders, and that's why they get behind. I HAD ZERO IDEA I was only allowed to bring my son in for 3 lab orders at each visit. He has to have labs done every 3 months. Would ANYONE who is sane choose to piss off someone who is in charge of sticking their son with a needle?? The answer is a HARD NO!!! NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN. EVER. There was one extremely patient and kind phlebotomist there who was the person who actually drew my son's blood. Her name was Arlene and she deserves a 100% raise. She was so patient with my son. I had an 8:00 am appointment on Friday May 16th, I arrived on time and checked in at the check in device. I entered my first insurance card and was trying to add the 2nd insurance and the machine said to start over. I figured I would give the secondary card to the tech when seen. At 8:15 I checked with the staff and they said I didn't check in correctly and had to become a stand by patient. Honestly speaking. I did not have any issues or any inconvience having my blood work done at this location. This was my 1st time at this location as well. I drove from Chino due to my availabilty of work schedule, and this location had a date and time that worked out for me, to the time of my next MD visit. Staff was pleasant, and no rudeness at all, body language was welcoming. Waiting room was not crowded, and looking at the check-ins vs the time I noticed people being called in was done very timely. Keep in mind, I did have a very early appt and was done on a weekday (Thurs AM). So of course the day had just probably just begun for these workers. All in all, in and out no bad experience. The kiosks ask me if I want to make an appointment for 11am, or go on standby which should be 30-60 minutes. *They have no receptionist and really dont seem to care interacting wtih people* At 11:10 am, I finally ask why I have not been called. One star is too good. This is not about the tech at the Anaheim Hills lab; it's about the operations of Quest Diagnostics. I trust my sample was sent somewhere -- obviously to an abyss. And that's the problem. I took a crucial cardiac-related blood test a month ago, and still no results. They gave me a bunch of excuses about how complicated the test was; they needed time. What year is this? 2025? It's been a month, and nothing has happened. Nothing takes this long with today's technology. Currently sitting in the waiting room with my daughter, who needs a fasting blood test. We were unable to get an appointment for several weeks so we were forced to walk in and wait standby. We have been here for over an hour and all they will tell us is that they're moving down the list and we should have made an appt. Let me reiterate...for a fasting blood test for a CHILD, there were no appointments for WEEKS unless I want to make her fast until almost noon. When a woman finally came out a couple people asked for help and she states "I'm not IT" and walks back in.... thank you lady clearly you don't look like tech. We just need to simply check in. They say they take walk in.I walked in, there was only one patient in the room and I was told I may have to wait one hour and there are 13 people on stand by which may come in next hour. I told her they are coming next hour but you only have one patient in the room which take 5 minutes to draw blood and then you can see me. I have been able to walk into other locations without appointment, this is the only location that still insist and see people with appointment. They aren't here to service patient or be bothered. I Read a lot of the reviews as well before I went in. I was a little skeptical. So my experience was a 10 out of 10 very easy in and out in five minutes. I did schedule an appointment online. I think that is key before you go in. There's a little kiosk. You just follow the directions. It will ask for your appointment QR code scan that then scan your drivers license and then scan your insurance card. Once that is done your into the system and you'll see your name show up on the television screen, and you will know exactly your place as far as appointments go. If you are a walk-in, I heard the receptionist say appointments take precedence over walk-ins. Even if you are just dropping off lab work, you still need a appointment. Otherwise you're treated as a walk in. I was called exactly when my appointment time was scheduled at 9:40 AM. The girl directed me into the number two room. I handed her my paperwork. She scanned it typed some information into her computer then had me sign a form, small chitchat ensued & very friendly. The actual drawing of the blood was very simple. It was painless. It was a very tiny needle, very professional, and very happy with the results and I was out of there. So if you come prepared and follow the instructions, you should have no issues. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! Waited 20 min got in to my appointment and they wouldn't pull my labs because it had to be between 7-9 it was five min to 7 I didn't get my labs done because they refused and they didn't allow me to just wait the five damn minutes until they could pull the damn labs. I tried entering myself as a walk in even though I had an appointment. After 45 min of waiting I left and called corporate. There were 3-4 people in the back but never pulled more than one or two people back. I heard them complaining about myself and another walk in who missed her earlier appointment saying they wouldn't be taking us even though they could. Also the whole waiting room can hear the staff complaining about the patients. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I'm critically ill and am at quest weekly for labs. I usually use another quest that is great but doesn't open until 8. I knew my labs needed to be drawn before 9 and wanted to get in to work on time. I ended up late to work and no labs drawn and I can't risk being late again so my labs just won't be drawn. It's great knowing you have a tumor that causes spikes in certain hormones that need monitoring and the staff at quest can't be bothered to help and do their job. There was no reason the worker couldn't have taken another person and then pulled me back again at the magic 7:00 time. She happened to be the same one that also screwed up my 24 hour lab test and contaminated it so quest couldn't complete the labs which is why I NEEDED this set of labs done so the doctor had some idea of where my levels were. I will say the corporate person who took my complaint was very kind and patient as I sobbed on the phone trying to get to work knowing I can have a major medical issue without my labs being monitored. People don't go to get labs drawn for fun. Some of us are critically ill and could use some kindness or just doing your job and not talking badly about the patients while you ignore a waiting room full of patients. From the reviews it appears that this facility just doesn't care. Maybe they should shut it down and start over. I'll be going to labcorp from now on. read more

I was a walk-in at 1:50 today and was told by Christina that Quest is by appointment only, no walk-in's. I told her I've been there several times as a walk-in and have never had an issue. She rudely corrected me and said after 1 o'clock it's by appointment only. The ironic thing is when I checked in as a"walk-in" on the kiosk it said I was number two on the walk-in waiting list and there was only ONE other person in the waiting room, which she did take back. I just flew in this afternoon from Washington DC, which I was attending a funeral and desperately needed the blood work done for a procedure. This place is the worst. I have had many problems here but today was the topper. I had an appointment and was on time. I had lab draw requests from 3 doctors. Two are standing orders which were on file and one was new. Each doctor was only asking for a couple of simple tests. I was told they can "only do 2 lap orders because they only have 10 minutes per patient and it takes too long to enter the orders." I told them, great 2 are already in the system so you only have to enter one. They continued to refuse and I continued to try to understand why. They spent 10 minutes arguing with me. I had an appointment and the "supervisor" told me I needed to make 2 appointments. I told them this is not stated anywhere and I took time off work and was fasting for all these draws. Then they made me pay AGAIN for fees I've paid for twice which is a regular occurrence at this location. The worst part was how they treated me. They were rude, uncaring, condescending, disrespectful and generally unprofessional and unpleasant. The tech told me not to "yell at her" when I never even raised my voice and was calm and polite the entire time. I told her I was 100% sure I didn't even raise my voice at her and she didn't argue because she knew I was right. Being treated like this for a medical appointment is absolutely disgusting. I don't have a needle phobia but I am a mental health professional so I am keenly aware that many people do. I have a pretty thick skin and can handle a lot but I was almost in tears at this appointment. This location is fine and the staff were efficient. The one star is for the lab and results team. 90% of my tests were available 7 days after the specimens were shipped to the lab, but not released electronically to my doctor. They only release partial results via fax, and they had an incorrect fax number, but wouldn't let me correct the fax or release the partial results to me even after the 2 day wait period required after they send results to the prescribing doctor (CA law). It's been 9 business days and still no results. I called 4 times today and literally got a different reason each time. Two of the calls ended with them just hanging up on me. read more

Quest offers a test that my usual Lab Corp didn't, so I went there. I didn't have an appt, but didn't worry about it as I never have at Lab Corp and have never waited more than 15 minutes. Not true at Quest. I waited almost two hours due to the fact they schedule 20+ people per hour and told me I had to wait for someone to cancel. When I was finally called back the man that stuck me was terrible. I worked at a lab, I'm not at all afraid of needles, not nervous in the least, and I'm an easy stick as my veins are right on top and highly visual. Instead of sliding the needle in gently, he literally jabbed so hard he went completely through my vein. He then, of course, had to back out until he got the flash that indicates he's in the vein. My arm is aching, and trust me, I'm no woose. Never again, Quest. I'm sticking with Lab Corp that's just a few doors down, well run, and knows how to stick. read more

We came as a walk in for a simple blood test. It was 1 35pm. No one was in the waiting room and no one was in the reception area. We heard two women talk in the back room. We waited 10 minutes, called for their attention. One lady yells back "we will be right with you". Couple more minutes later she comes to the reception area and asks if we have an appointment. We tell her that we are walk ins. She says "we have to close at 2pm and we can't take you after 1 30pm. There was no one else to work on and it was 1 45pm. They are lazy and obviously don't need to work. This happened to my husband once before. Same lady, no one waiting and they couldn't do a blood test in 25 minutes. Never again! I had a similar experience like Heidi... I was going in for a simple blood test at 1:00pm today and no one was there. You can hear the 2 girls chatting up a storm and not doing shit... I asked them for help and they ignored me... an Indian lab tester came out to lecture me about making an appointment. I explained that I don't mind making an appointment and had no choice but to go to quest bc of my insurance. I explained how I had a Major skin disorder and how we need the lab results so I can get the recommended medicine/treatment... after showing him my skin, he actually shut up and did his job. I recently had an appointment at the anaheim hills quest diagnostics. My nurse was extremely rude and rough during the appointment and now my arm has been left severely bruised and the nerves in my elbow has been affected. The initial insertion of the needle hurt more than usual and he inserted it diagonally through my arm extremely deep. It hurt the entire time he was taking blood and the removal of the needle was the most painful. My arm has been uncomfortably sore since my appointment on Friday, it hurts to extend my arm, and looks as if something is seriously wrong. Please explain to me what this incompetent man has done to my arm for it to still be affected from a simple blood draw 4 days prior. read more

I like this Quest location. I always make an appointment beforehand so I do not have to wait as long as I would as a walk-in client. The front staff was not available the other day when I came at lunch, but I checked-in online. Usually the receptionist is not that friendly so I did not mind that she was not there. After I checked-in, a lab technician quickly came out and brought me in to do a blood draw. She was patient and even offered to call my doctor's office to get the paperwork that the office had not previously sent over. She really went the extra mile. I was really grateful that she was a kind phlebotomist as well. Not only was she friendly and helpful, but she was also gentle. Sometimes having my blood drawn is excruciating, but this lab technician made it fairly painless experience. This location is fairly clean as well. All-in-all this is a really nice Quest Lab location! read more

This place is a mess, I feel like it's a back alley meth crack halfway house. First off you meet the grump in the front, it's like walking into the dmv she's like ya can I help you?! Then they are so unorganized and slow I mean it's not that hard to administer shots and so forth. Only 12 people came in and out in an hour period, I counted 4 nurses. Then you got nurses leaving the building every ten minutes, like what you making deliveries or got major diarrhea. One nurse came out putting the Key in the doorknob like 6 times like I said crack yall. Update: I've been outside waiting for 1 hr and a half. I tried to sit down inside and was threatened I would be arrested if I didn't wait outside... concentration camp much. Went here today for a blood draw. I was seen on time because I had an appointment but while waiting, heard another person without an appointment tell the receptionist he had to leave since it had already been 40 minutes and she still had no idea when he'd get seen. All she said was he'd have to wait for a cancelation or for people to not show up. Terrible. When it was my turn, I was sent to station 2. Only getting one vial drawn and after being poked I winced in pain only to find they had stuck me with the LARGEST needle possible because they didn't want to use the smaller needle and have to wait to fill the vial? Just awful service all around. I suggest asking for a small needle if this bothers you. Didn't realize I'd get such a large needle when I had only one vial to draw. read more

Nothing but confusion from beginning to end. The phlebotomist wanted to argue about the fact that my doctor's office didn't enter it correctly. I called the doctor's office and they were happy to send a fax, they said it would be here in 5 minutes. I entered my insurance cards in the lobby but Anahe told me they weren't in the system. All of this self-righteousness about being right instead of finding a solution caused me to be off my game as I am brain injured. I usually request a butterfly needle because my veins are small and I didn't do that because of all the mass confusion. I've had my blood drawn here many times. I've never had an unpleasant experience. They are open 5am to 4pm and they take walk ins or appointments. They have a computerized check in system that is very convenient. After checking in, there is a computerized notice on the wall that indicated names and wait times, so one can rest assured they are next! I always walk-in during work hours or very early in the morning, and I usually do not have a wait. They are clean, competent and professional. Today my blood was drawn by Tracy. She did a great job, especially when I am unable to make a fist!! She was quick, in and out! Didn't hurt me.
