Considering the abysmal reviews for this Labcorp on Rose Drive, maybe I've just been blessed by the lab gods but honestly, I've always had a great experience here. The techs have consistently been friendly, cool, and professional, and check-in is super easy whether through the app or the self-service kiosk. Their waiting area is not bad, it's clean and bright but it does get uber busy at times - so I hope you have an appointment. My personal take - I've learned with ANY lab (Labcorp, Quest, etc.), making an appointment well ahead of time is the real MVP, fortunately, I have not experienced them f'ing up my appointment but it seems they do with some patients. Maybe approach someone in the front desk and kindly bring this up to their attention? It can save you and others from unnecessary frustration, long waits, and the urge to dramatically rethink your entire life in the waiting room LOL. On occasions that you unfortunately you got a same day rush lab order - walking in can be traumatic but miracles do happen like when I walked in at 2:45 PM one time with literally 3-4 people in there or check the app and drive miles away for a location with an availability... or be like Job... we can all practice a bit of patience in a world where everything is in a rush. Worst experience ever. Had an appointment. Checked in online. Received a text to come in and the tech will call my name shortly. 45 minutes later name still not called empty the waiting room twice. Checked in at the counter to see what was going on and they say we called you and I told them impossible I was sitting here as I got the text to come in and no one called me. They Checked me in at the counter again and then made me wait additional time. Super unorganized and not empathetic at all. The lab tech that did my blood draw was a total F #### profanity removed! She had no idea what she was doing and she choked my arm with a rubber tie until my fingers were turning purple and blue and only took off the tie AFTER my blood was drawn so, then my arm was bleeding a lot and she couldn't even get the elbow wrap around properly. The blood dream took a LONG time and this B had the audacity to tell me that it was my fault my blood was flowing very slowly. Afterwards, I found out that she didn't even get the needle ON the actual vein. See photo. She was trying to pull blood from my muscles. WTF? Also super painful. I had an 8 o'clock appointment I checked in and for some reason they put me as a walk-in so I had to go to the desk and ask them what the thing was and they told me that somehow my name came up different, which I don't understand. So needless to say an 8 o'clock appointment turned into an 830. Why make an appointment if they won't stick to the appointment and ensure that you're in line properly? The phlebotomist here was excellent. That was the only good thing of the visit. The rest of the staff doing the appointment need some kind of managerial experience to ensure that when people make appointments they make sure they get in when they're supposed to. I would recommend finding another location that does not have such a bad reputation. read more

Not sure why lab Corp tells you to use the self check in counter, there have been multiple times where I've had an appointment, self checked in, and don't get called until I go up to the desk and ask why I'm not getting called. Today was no different. Arrived at 4:15 for a 4:30 appointment. Did the self check in. Nothing. Finally went up to the desk at 4:40 and I'm asked if I got called up. No I did not. Finally once I go up they call us back to get blood draw. The phlebotomist was very kind and patient with my son (he was getting the blood draw today) so 5 stars for her, but the check in process needs a major overhaul. read more

I had to visit a Labcorp facility to get bloodwork for my annual physical. I have been to a few other locations near my home which were fine, but this location was the only one that had an open appointment within the next few days so I came here. Their website for booking an appointment is slick and shows all available times at any of their locations so you can easily pick a time and location that is convenient for you. I had an 8:15am appointment and checked in at 8:13am from my car and then walked in. My jaw fell to the floor when I walked in and the large waiting area was 110% occupied by at least 50+ people sitting in all the chairs and standing around in any free space that was available. For so many people in the room, it was relatively calm and not loud. The facility is modern and very clean. As soon as the front door opened for me to enter, I heard one of the receptionists calling my name so I walked right up and gave her my lab orders and then stood against the wall to wait for my turn. I only had to wait about six or seven minutes and then I was called back. Each side of the back area has a long row of about ten partitioned off areas for blood draws. The tech that did mine was very friendly and we chit chatted for the few minutes it took. On the way out I made a quick stop by the restroom, which was also very clean, to leave a sample and I was on my way. This is a nice clean facility and I was in and out in about 15 minutes even though the waiting room was packed. BE SURE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! If you come as a walk-in, you'll probably be waiting for hours. read more

8:00am appt. Arrived 10 min early. No place to sit. Told they are behind - 20 min or so. At 8:30 - told still 4 people ahead of me. Once I got called the technician was apologetic for the wait. She said the online system now books 15 people at the same time, and of course they don't even have half that many technicians. Within 1 hour of opening they are already 45 min delayed. On another note, when checking in at the front desk they always ask for orders - even send some people back to their car to get them. Too lazy to look things up they want the bar code so they have one keystroke. Quest was bad - now its a race to the bottom. read more

This is my first time here and loved it. Don't understand why the rating is low but I think this place deserves a better rating! Why? I think the staff are nice, check-in process is seamless, place is clean with lots of seats in the lobby, no long lines or waiting time for me (afternoon appt). Found out I had to come back an hr later since I didn't know and drank water before my breath test. The gentleman said I can come back and he had my order form ready when I came back. Got in right away, was very impressed with how organized this place is and no rude staff that treat you like a number. Maybe not everyone will get such a nice experience like me as I was told mornings can be busier, but like any places, you have to come with reasonable expectations. 7:30am appt, and they didnt do bloodwork until 8:15am. I arrived early at 7:15, and the room was packed, with many people standing and some sitting on the floor because not enough seats. When you arrive, you can check-in at the kiosk or front desk. When I have checked in at the kiosk at the same time as someone checking in at the desk, the person at the desk was called well before me. I come here b/c its close to me and I can make an appt, but they are so slow. Nice tech though. read more

Unfortunately the staff seems super overworked and there isn't one single person who is guiding or actively monitoring systems. They all seem to be surprised by names called or order of operations. I don't understand the purpose of checking in, and then being called to check in. It makes much more sense to simply check in once. I don't understand what the point of scheduling an appointment if they don't respect your time? I liked this location! My first time going there. I checked in from my phone as I sat in my car. When they called me in to submit my lab work, I gave them my insurance card for them to het me squared away. I got called in to a room pretty quickly and my blood drawn. The facility was clean, which is important. It appeared that they had quite a few staff working too. At least 20-30. Everyone was nice and efficient. I will be back. read more

I had an appointment for last week. I fasted and showed up ahead of time and waited. Even with an appointment I have to wait at this LabCorp location (30 plus minutes by the way). This one is not too far from my home so I deal with it. But the only took blood for 7 out of 10 tests. My doctors visit was to review the results but LabCorp didn't do all the prescribed tests so it's back to LabCorp but this time with no appointment. Loooong wait and not a word of acknowledgement of their mistake. I feel like I was a nuisance to the shelled out staff. And no, I wasn't rude or demanding. read more

Located in Providence St. Jude Heritage Family Medicine - Yorba Linda building, there are plenty of parking spaces and large waiting room. However, compare to the great amount of patients for the blood work, test, etc., the lab does not have enough chairs despite of the efforts of the front desk and technicians rotating diligently. Also, they have two water stations but one station didn't have water and the other one didn't have cups. With little staff, they are definitely overwhelmed and the inpatient patients weren't helping. There was a patient that went up to the front desk three times while I was waiting for 10 minutes. Thankfully, I had an appointment so I was in and out within 30 minutes but if you are doing a walk-in, you will wait minimum and hour. If you don't make an appointment, I recommend not to use this facility. The staff are amazing as they don't show any frustrations, greet you with smile and assist you as best as they can. The technician who took care of me was very gentle with the needle, made sure that I don't bleed too much and kindly showed me the locations of the bathrooms so I don't wait too long. She even checked if I was doing ok when I was waiting outside the bathroom while passing by. read more

It wasn't the best experience at all today I went to the LabCorp here in Yorba Linda night and day first time had no idea what I was doing front desk and not hesitate to ask if I needed help came with me to the kiosk help me fill out what I needed to fill out, guiding me through the process got me in there me and my daughter at the same time we were in and out within 20 minutes and they did a urine test just goes to show the difference between good customer service and bad customer service read more

Went for routine bloodwork. My veins are small but does not justify being poked 3 times the first tech had to call another senior person since she could not draw my blood. The guy came and drew blood from my hand. Thought he was done but after he bandaged me one had to call me back to do another tube. Left there with 3 pokes. Unbelievable. Providence, this is one of the worst mistakes changing over to LabCorp. The doctors office said the lab order should be in their computer system but the lab rep is arguing that they don't have it. So, I have to do the work for them? I was given a LabCorp business card with the fax number and called to have the doctor office fax it over the alleged missing order. JFC people. I am so glad I double checked with LabCorp to know what orders they're showing in their computer system. A critical lab order was not received. It was one that I really wanted completed. Seems it was so much better before the change over. The lab also rearranged the seating and they have a few automated kiosks to confirm patient's information. You never needed an appointment either but seems to be very recommended even mid afternoon. This is really disappointing service on both ends (Providence and LabCorp). There are a lot of frustrated patients as I'm observing and waiting for my name to be called. I spent over an hour doing a walk-in for two different doctors lab orders. I don't know where the blame goes but damn it was not a good experience here in Yorba Linda. What I would do differently... 1) hard copies of all lab orders, 2) make an appointment, 3) confirm all lab orders on MyChart vs LabCorp. Make sure both match. When it came time to actually draw samples, there were nine total vials. Typically I'm getting only 2-3 vials. The phlebotomist was great, she took care of me. She asked how I was doing since this was more than I usually do for lab work. There are certain things in life that are not controllable. My motto is to do things as best as possible. This is the worst lab I have been. I knew it was bad but I didn't know it is such bad. I don't know why Blue Shield contracted the lab for blood testing. Previously, the lab work/blood testing was just so much better. Just be clear, I am not complaining about the technician who do the real work. I am complaining about the process you have to go through to see the technician, for 5 minutes, today for example. Here is what happened to me today. I had an appointment made and went there about 5 minutes earlier. The self check-in worked very well, less than 2 minutes. However, it took another 40 minutes before I went to the front desk to inquire about and finally got called to see the technician. The time used to draw blood for testing should be very predictal and easily managed. How can people still wait for more than 40 minutes after the scheduled appointment time? Simply horrible! The lab management is the issue. It clearly knows the problems. It doesn't care simply it doesn't affect its business. However, I do want to make the following suggestions: (1) If you ask people to use the machine to do self check-in, you shouldn't tell them to wait in their car and then text them to collect the testing order a few minutes later. The parking lot was full and I had to park far away today. After I did my self check-in, the machine says you can sit in your car to wait for the technician to be ready. I waited in my car and got a text saying the technician is ready to see me, a few minutes later. I was happy to go to rush to the front desk. The lady sitting there said she just need to collect my testing order and will send another text when it is ready. Then, why cannot the machine telling people to proceed to the front desk to turn in the testing order rather telling them "waiting anywhere they feel comfortably"? (2) Why the first text message says "the technician is read to see you" but, in fact, it is the front "check-in" desk lady ready to collect the testing order? Clearly, it takes people longer time to do self check-in than the front "check-in" desk lady to collect the order. Why cannot she collect the order once the patients finish the self check-in, rather than sending them to their cars and then text them a few minutes later to collect it. No reason at all. Purely mismanagment & bad bureaucracy. (3) It seems to me that the Lab doesn't really follow the system's scheduled appointment time when it comes to the actual lab. It appeares that the loop hole happened at the first lady at the front "check-in" desk collecting the testing order. She collected the testing order. Then, she has to put the order in another "tray" to be pick up by a "lab manager" who then assigns the patient to a technician. If the front "check-in" lady misplace the patient order or intentionally don't put the order in the "tray", then the patient will have to wait.... (4) They can clearly have a simple system to show the waiting a screen so that both the "lab manager" and the patient can see, which will avoid the "messed up" front the desk check-in staff. In short, this is the place where a good experiece is a rare luck, and a bad experience is a daily norm! read more

Even though there's a lot of people they have a lot of technicians I saw a girl name Gardenia just like the flower she was the best ever and I'm 64 and had my blood taken many many times Red Cross and Dr visits so lots of times. I really gotta hand it to Gardenia. Good job thank you. read more

Retired RN advice- NEVER go here! I was told in a RUDE manner that there was a "two hour wait for walk ins" despite having lab orders for Fasting 8:00 am labs, that was stamped as such. I was unable to make an appointment on line or on the phone prior. The Rude person also informed me that the phone number listed on the website was inaccurate! NO WONDER the waiting room was PACKED! LabCorp - Yorba Linda: I would like to give Delores a 10 rating for her speed and professionalism in performing a blood draw. No problems, no discomfort, and it was over in minutes. Regarding wait-times and appointment scheduling at the Yorba Linda facility, I can certainly endorse scheduling your appointments on the LabCorp website and definitely NOT via their phone call-in process. For some reason, the phone appointments are never entered into their scheduling system and you are processed on-site as a "walk-in" when you think you have an appointment. Use the LabCorp website and you will receive a text message confirmation of your appointment date & time and save that for your arrival day. On your appointment date/time, you click on the text message link that you have arrived and are ready to be processed and you will be seen in short order. I think their website scheduling process should be more actively promoted and it would eliminate a lot of the issues that have been raised in other poor-rating reviews. Give it a try. I think it will work out much better for you. read more

For the lab at 4300 Rose Dr., in Yorba Linda, CA. I highly recommend this location for the lab tests that Labcorp does there. I advise you to make an appointment before you go to avoid possibly long waits without one, though. The technicians that I have experienced are very professional. read more

Worst of the worst. Facility is not adequately maintained for the number of people who go through there daily. In other words, it's dirty! It's literally standing room only. Online kiosks don't always work. Front office murdered my name and didn't care. Appointments are over a month out for routine lab work. Yorba Linda is the only facility that accepts walk-ins. Be prepared to wait 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Restrooms are overused and not properly stocked or cleaned. When I reported no wipes in restrooms, personnel were not concerned. Care quality was the worst. For the first time ever, the blood draw was level 10 painful. The phlebotomist didn't care. She blathered on about drinking water! My needs were definitely not met. Phlebotomist refused to take responsibility for painful blood draw. She was rude. Getting test results can take 2 to 4 weeks. read more

This place is the worse place ever. I took my dad here for lab work and waited freaking 2hrs and I finally ask the reception to see what's going on to come to find out they didn't have the order. I was like why didn't you tell me earlier so I could've called the doctor and ask for it. I ended up calling the doctor and they told me that they have the order in placed and they had to fax it again to Labcorp. First of all, they should've inform me if they didn't have the order so at least I could've called earlier. Imagine if I didn't come up and ask? I would give 0 stars if it was possible. This was my 4th visit to this location. When they opened, I could understand all the glitches that needed fixing. Since then, the experience has continued to be terrible. The front desk staff do not take proper care of the elderly population. This group struggles to check in correctly with the devices. They struggle to process and follow directions quickly rambled off to them. There needs to be staff standing by the front desk and assisting this group of people. Also, procedures keep changing. If we had an appointment, we were not to check in on devices but go directly to the front desk. Now we are to use the device. If you happen to be at the wrong location (yes that's our fault), they may not tell you. Even with appointments, wait time is usually an hour. It needs to be better staffed and supervised. I'm not sure why phlebotomists need to be seated at the front desk (yes, this is happening). Front desk staff are rude. So many changes need to be made at this location. read more

This company is a disaster! I had a 10 am appointment. When I walked in, the place was filled to capacity. I attempted to check in at the front desk but was told I had to check in at the Kiosk. I used the scan that was sent to me and it inputted all of my information. I sat and waited, and was called up to provide my lab orders, I was then asked to have a seat. I waited 45 minutes (reminder I had a 10am appointment). I finally went up to the front desk to ask why I hadn't been seen. She scanned my QR code and said I was at the wrong location that had the same street name. I was told I would have to wait that there were 6 people ahead of me. I asked why I wasn't informed that I was at the wrong location upon check in and she said the system doesn't catch that, that if I would have checked in with the front desk they would have informed me. I told her that they (the staff) did not allow that but forced people to use the Kiosk. She looked at me clueless. I sat and waited 20 minutes till I was called, 1 hour and 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment, that I had made 3 months prior. This is not the first time this has happened. Get rid of the Kiosk and have patients check in with live people, who are sitting around doing nothing. Many elderly are not computer saavy and struggle with the Kiosk. read more
