I've been to several locations for this chain, and this is the worst! you have to park in the garage and it costs $4--they do not validate! I had an appointment and I still had to wait for an hour. They had one person working--the phlebotomist was the same person who checked people in. She was cranky, probably understandably so, since she had to do everything. The only positive is that she stuck my vein on the first try and it wasn't too painful. Even so, I won't be back to this locale. read more

Scheduled appointment for 8:30 am, wasn't seen until after 9:30. The lady behind the desk was curt, to put it nicely, when she was even present. She ended up drawing my blood as well and I had a bruise on my arm for a week afterwards, which is the first time that has happened to me. read more

Anyone who has been to a doctors appointment or to the lab for tests, knows that there is waiting involved. That's a given. But I have never been to an appointment where the front desk receptionist was so rude, disinterested, and basically so unprofessional. Not only was she rude to me, I sat back and watched her act snooty, annoyed, and like she was doing the patient checking in a favor by attending to them or answering any of their questions. I'm very disappointed and if it weren't for the fact that I was taking a drug test for my new job, I would've checked her. You'd expect for Quest Diagnostics to have the resources to hire good help but I guess not? Not only did I wait for over an hour and a half for a drug test (mind you there was only one person in front of me), but I had to watch some of the worst customer service I've ever seen in my life. I NEVER write reviews, but I made an exception for this experience. If you have to go to Quest Diagnostics for labs, do not go to this one. Find a lab in a better area where there's a chance you won't be talked down to or forced to interact with a receptionist that is so "ghetto." read more

I was seen a half hour after appointment. I asked the phlebotomist to take blood from my left arm where there's a good vein. She did the other arm and blew out a vein. This place needs to grow a personality. They treat everyone, even kids, like criminals going through detox (who would have my sympathies anyway). read more

I went for a blood test today at 6162 Fuller Court, Alexandria VA location and I had the most horrible experience. I have done many blood test previously but never like this. The lady was sweet, some Hispanic nurse but I doubt she had any prior experience in drawing blood. It seemed like she first inserted the needle and then tried to find my vein, needles was inside inserted and she kept turning left and right, tears were in my eyes and usually I have a very high tolerance for pain. It was so painful that I was afraid to even look what was going on. She then called another nurse s d asked if what she had in the tube was enough , other one said "it should be enough " and they stopped torturing my arm. She put a bandage over it but when I came home and took off the bandage, the view was terrible. It was pretty tortured and damaged, bruise was in rainbow colors, red yellow purple etc... Few blood clots and stinging pain ... This is not right, they should know what they are doing. I will try to upload a pic with this review. read more

The young phlebotomist was more interested in talking with the colleague who had just walked in than in not injuring my arm. This is the result. I can't find the "add picture" button, but the bruise on my arm is deep purple and about 3" x 2.5"--hideous. After 3 weeks it's only shrunk a few milimeters. read more

I came to this place because the place where I got hired sent me here for my drug test, the first thing I noticed was the front desk receptionist, she was so rude and an absolute bitch! I wonder if people realize that they are in the wrong field and because they're miserable they want everybody else to feel miserable, then the lab tech was such a jerk he talked to me like I was an idiot, I almost went off on him but I held it in because it was for my job, I went outside and I asked if they validate the parking ticket because I had no idea I'm new to the area so I didn't lose anything by asking, not only she said no, she said you pay for it and because she was making some copies she didn't have the respect and some manners to at least look me in the eye, don't go to this place, it's horrible and everybody there is a miserable human being who needs to find the nearest building and jump off it, absolute unprofessional idiots read more

This morning I had an 8:15 appointment - was greeted immediately and taken back. I was worried that my lab requests from two doctors might get mixed up, but they were reviewed with me before the labs were drawn and I was asked to sign. This gave me confidence that there would be no confusion. I had been apprehensive because I needed a lot of blood drawn, but I needn't have been. The technician was skillful and paid careful attention to protocol. I really appreciated the thoughtful, professional attention I received today at the Arlington Carlin Springs Quest Diagnostics site. I will be back, and I recommend this location to others. The parking is convenient and a flat $4.00 rate. I also recommend the online appointment reservation feature. read more

I have been to this Quest two times in the past month and on each occasion have been treated disrespectfully. Everything I did was wrong. I stood at the counter and didn't do anything and was yelled out to sign in and take a sit. I had a specimen of my husband's and they would not take it. Maybe the main person is overworked but nasty attitudes both times let s me know something else is going on. Don't go!!!! read more

I gave this Quest Diagnostic Center one star simply because this review site wouldn't let me give it a zero. I am new to the area so when I called to make my appointment, I directly called this location. I was rudely told to go online, she doesn't do appointments there and hung up. So I went online made the appointment and went. First you have to pay to park, which no one told me and I was not prepared for. Maybe if the worker wasn't so quick to hang up on me she could have told me that. When I was taken to a room for the lab work, I told the nurse that I have a hard time with needles sometimes and was answered with "you'll be fine." She was the rudest human being I have ever met, which is tough to do as I am a social worker and work with inmates and probationers, but she really took the cake. In fact she was so rude and unkind that when I left I sat in my car and cried briefly. Clearly this staff does not understand that people are going through something if they are coming in to have blood work done and if they cannot be kind at least be civil. Never again will I go back and I will warn anyone I know to not use their services EVER! read more

It took me a total of 6 lab visits (and an additional $24 in parking fees, i.e. 6 times $4) to get my actual blood work and urine test completely done. First, my urine was "lost in transition", as I was informed by a Quest group supervisor in their central office - despite the fact that I placed it on the indicated spot right in front of the eyes of the lab technician. Second, they had also only done half of the blood work requested by my doctor, so I had to schedule a second doctor's visit to get the full results and treatment. Third, I was directed by the same Quest central office to go and re-do the missing blood work on a Saturday morning so that they could finish my incomplete lab work in time for my second doctor's appointment - except Quest central office directed me to go to a lab that was CLOSED on Saturday, because they had not taken the trouble to look at my paperwork from previous blood work. The fourth time, the lab technician assured me that she had pulled up all the lab orders from the computer and nothing would be missed. Come to find out at my second doctor's visit, a Selenium test, requested by my doctor originally (which was 3 months prior!) was still undone! Fifth time I went to the lab for the missing Selenium test and the same technician told me it was not in the system?! So I had my doctor's office resend the original lab order (first issued and sent to Quest on February 8th), and on my sixth visit today it was finally completed. Each time, the Quest person, whether the supervisors from their central office or the Arlington technicians, all consistently claimed that it was NOT THEIR ERROR/RESPONSIBILITY and there was nothing they could do about it - it was up to me to figure it out. Try imagining a more impersonal, bureaucratic and dysfunctional system "serving" people's medical needs! I will avoid Quest at all cost in the future - at least until somebody from that impersonal corporation contacts me and lets me know that their dysfunctional system has in fact followed up and fixed their many problems. read more
