This was the case for me this week - my son came down with a nasty cough and was complaining of ear pain, so I wanted to get him in and make sure we weren't dealing with anything serious. The Point Ruston Indigo was the ONLY place that was close-ish by that had same day appointments and easy online booking. Thaaaank gooodnessss. This was our first time to this particular urgent care, and I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and updated it is! I know a lot of the businesses at Ruston are newer, and this spot is no exception. All of the staff was really nice. The front desk woman was nice and got us back as quickly as she could, and the nurse/medical assistant who we dealt with for the first half of our appointment was so great with my son. He had to get the nasal swab which is never fun, but she was awesome with him and was able to get it done with next to no tears. The actual provider was also really nice and got us out with our prescription for antibiotics quickly. When we left I got a call from them that we had left my daughter's binky behind (which was yet to be discovered) which I thought was so kind of them! I know some kids are very attached to a certain type of binky, so that could've been catastrophic. Thank you to this office for providing the community with great and efficient care!

My poor mother was writhing in pain. Jacqueline Sisolak, NP, ordered xrays, which were negative (this we already predicted because there was no injury/trauma), then attempted to discharge her. We practically begged for a steroid or Toradol injection, to make life tolerable until my mother's appointment. Jacqueline repeatedly became snappy with us, even when we were asking valid questions. She then proceeded to tell my mother that she only had TWO options, OTC meds OR narcotics, and she was not going give her any narcotics. First of all, NO ONE asked for narcotics. Second of all, there are MANY other options in between OTC meds and narcotics. Jacqueline Sisolak admitted that OTC meds were obviously not working, but that my mother needed to go home and keep taking them. She refused to help my mother, and to add insult to injury, made her out to be a drug-seeking individual. We asked for her reasoning, and she flat out refused to speak with us. There were no contraindications or valid reasons as to why my mother could not get a steroid or Toradol injection. My mother was in a vulnerable state, and Jacqueline, NP, refused to help her, and rushed us out of the clinic after unfairly shaming her.

I thought I would be spending the next hour waiting but I was called back with 10/15 minutes of signing in and completing registration. After that we went to the back, I was given a cup. Did my thing, handed back and only had to initial in a couple places and VIOLA! Complete. 8:40. In and out easy peasy ! Jojo/ Jomar was my collector and he was very polite and professional. Even gave me a heads up of what door to use to get to my car quicker. Overall a pretty good experience for a drug test !

SO DISORGANIZED, STAFF IN THE FRONT DESK ARE EXTREMELY RUDE, and discourage patients from being seen. As soon as patients arrive they tell you it's going to be a 6 hour wait and you can leave if you want and go to Tacoma.They discourage patient care service and turn down a lot of people and people walk out. Don't know if they want less work or if they're lazy and don't want to deal with people. NATALIA, DEB?, Kathy? There's 2 white older women in the front desk that attend to white patients better and treat other ethnicities very poorly. It's very noticeable and truly disappointing. One older white lady in the front desk with bangs looks like she's a lead has white patients skip others. And another white older lady with glasses was yelling on the phone at another patient in front of others just to extremely rude. They don't even wear name badges I'm sure to hide their identity with the way they talk to people. The care is poor. Office experience is poor. Again, WORST CONCENTRA. please get new staff with better patient care and etiquette.

The care that I have received the three times I have been in has been great, I feel like they do listen to my concerns. My only reason for knocking off a star is that it is EXPENSIVE for an office fee if you don't have insurance - then this last time around I finally had insurance and my insurance wasn't in network. $250 for 10 minutes in a room is a bit crazy.

The good thing about Northwest Laboratories is that they're part of MultiCare and the results is uploaded on MyChart. Another good thing is that you dont need appointment to get your labs done. Here is the downside, and this is not just for this location but most of Northwest Laboratories. Be prepared to wait like you're at the DMV. Everyone comes here for lab, on top of the patients that come out of this clinic after their appointment (this one houses Mary Bridge Children's hospital clinic and Multicare Family Practice in same building). So just pack your patience. First things first: like all other Northwest Laboratories, you gotta fill out one of those Blue slips upon arrival, no questions asked. The faster you fill that out, the quicker you will be seen. Its actually crowded in early morning because people want to get their blood drawn and break their fasting asap, but afternoons are just as crowded. The staff are kind and the lab staff are very knowledgeable and professional. Some labs can take a while to get your results but this one is very quick in my experience, coming from a person who has lab tests every 2 months for past 20 years. This location is smaller than the Pearl street (Tacoma) location but they are located in less busier commercial mall so I like it here for that, and quicker results. Lab staff probably are some of best I've experienced with! Lastly if you're Overlake Medical Center (Bellevue) patient, its also a plus because Overlake is now owned by Multicare and everything on MyChart is easy peasy.

This is a walk-in lab and they do all kinds of testing. I come here to get my thyroid levels checked every few months. They're always quick and helpful, kind and personable at the front desk. They get you checked in and then you wait... they'll call your name and once you go back into the lab area they are quick about their business but do a good job. I get my blood drawn a LOT and it's always nice when you're phlebotomist actually knows what they're doing. If you come early (7:30-8), the wait can be longer because everyone who is waiting on fasting blood work tends to check in first thing. Other busy times are lunchtime, and around 4 right before they close. I've see the wait shortest in the late morning or early afternoon. Can't say I have a ton of choices because this is where my doctor sends my lab request but I'm glad it's here. :)
