Instead of providing professional customer service, she spoke disrespectfully about patients once she thought they were out of earshot, even making comments about people in the lobby. To make matters worse, we were skipped in line without any explanation. When I questioned it, the situation was not handled professionally. Another staff member Nicole later joined in on the inappropriate behavior rather than addressing it appropriately. And the rest of the staff members were just goofing off in the bad. In a medical setting, professionalism, discretion, and respect for patients are essential. Patients deserve to feel safe and treated with dignity, not mocked or dismissed. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses the conduct of their staff.

I ended up going to and urgent care because by the time I realized about their mistake all the clinics were close. The very next day I went to the UMC clinic at Shadow Lane and they would not give me the PEP because I didn't have insurance. Then I remembered AHF and went there. They tested me, gave me access to their doctor, and the doctor prescribed me the PEP right away. Save your time and come to this place right from the beginning, I highly recommend it. Unfortunately, that turned out to be completely false. The office repeatedly dropped the ball during the application process failing to communicate, providing incorrect information, or not submitting the correct paperwork. This caused unnecessary delays and stress. It wasn't until I reached Erica, the office manager, that I finally got help completing the application. However, my frustrations didn't end there. I later found out they were gatekeeping my injection until after labs were completed yet my appointment was at 5 PM and the lab closes at 4:30 PM. When I called on my way to explain the timing conflict, Erica's response was a dismissive, "I know how it goes." That kind of attitude toward a patient's urgent medical care is beyond unprofessional it's disrespectful. This has been a nightmare. The lack of communication, compassion, and basic organization here is shocking. My health is not a game, yet it feels like the only thing this office truly cares about is collecting payment and putting up barriers to treatment. Patients deserve better than this.

Saw some great ratings and reviews on google for San Juan so decided to give it a try after getting informed over the phone. Staff was welcoming and professional and had my mom's information for her appointment. The price for the physical was 280.00 and this included a full panel lab work. My mom was assisted by nurse practitioner Kim Mijung. My mom is a Spanish speaker and this place has plenty of translators who assist the nurse practitioner with translation and data entry prior to meeting the NP. Basic questions were asked and the medicine list was asked again by Kim even though they were provided and noted earlier by medical assistant/ translator. Instead of handing the bag to my mom they made her get off the patient table to retrieve the bag and re provide the medication so it can be noted. Keep in mind they knew she was there for knee pain at least offer to hand the bag? The whole physical with Kim lasted about 10-15 min. I don't think that enough time to know your patient and write it off as a yearly physical. Typically they try to get to know you and explain what they are doing and why. When asked if there was any questions my mom asked about the rash and knee pain and if she had any suggestions. The rash Kim said it goes and comes and was dismissive but said she would prescribe medication and for the kneee she didn't even bother to look at it and immediately said it was due to old age. My mom is 63 not 103 at least take a peek at it and pretend you care? Lab work results are not sent via email or text; you must go back and have them read to you for 45.oo extra dollars. They did provide a complimentary mammogram which we schedule during next visit on lab results day. Pros: easy to set up appointment; translators; complimentary mammogram and in house labs. Good for maybe basic needs on a healthy person or very young person with little or no medical concerns. Cons: no doctor; you are treated by NP with maybe not enough experience on treating patients and lacking empathy. NP does not adequate time to understand the patient and provide productive treatment or plan of treatment. Dismissive on pain and concerns. I noticed that the patients were mostly immigrants and who spoke Spanish like my mom. Let's remember that all healthcare is sacred and we must treat each patient as precious as each one of them is loved and wanted to be cared for with the out most dignity and respect.

The dental clinic here is OK for cleanings and deep cleanings. I don't think I will ever have any…read moredental care other than that done here again. I know the union's idea was to save money by operating their own clinics but, come on, they have to have competent people that can do a basic filling. My filling took an abnormally long period of time. Even the dental assistant agreed that it was an extremely long time. I think that the dentist was not that experienced in what he was doing. He constantly kept going back-and-forth while saying hmmmm to himself. He seemed to be constantly correcting the work that he did seconds earlier. Also at one point both of them just left the room for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, I had that suction thing and the thing that forces your mouth open left in my mouth while I'm laying there for 10 minutes. Neither of them said anything. Just left. Apparently he went to do somebody else's exam because it was taking so long to do my filling. He didn't want the other people to wait but he was more than happy to have me wait, even though I had an earlier appointment time, and I was in the middle of a procedure. I had to remove some kind of mini douche bag from my mouth and throw it up on the exam table, and take the water sucking thing out of my own mouth and ask where somebody was. Then at the end, he said something about having to possibly do a crown because he didn't know if he did the filling properly! This is the first time I've left the dentist with bleeding gums too. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to go to another dentist to have fixed whatever they did. I've never left a filling appointment with this weird feeling like there's something stuck underneath my tooth. While at the same time feeling like there's some material that was not pinched into where it's supposed to go properly. I can flap a little piece with my tongue. To be honest, I wonder if this gentleman was actually a dentist. The appointment system here is ridiculous. As I'm checking out, she says I need to do a deep cleaning. Our appointment book doesn't open up until Wednesday so go ahead and give us a call on Wednesday to schedule it. Today is Monday and I'm here at your office. Why can't I schedule an appointment? They have some weird two weeks out booking system. I would say 30% of the time when you call or check in you're met with rudeness from the ladies. I'm going back to Evergreen Dental if they still accept Culinary. Sorry I ever left. Just thought this new place would be convenient.
