He stood there and gave me a bunch of words but no reason why he couldn't do the blood test right then. Quest Diagnostics is well-organized, efficient, and friendly. The lab on Norman in Manteca is always my first choice. I have never had to wait for my appointment at any of their labs. The key is to make an appointment in advance; without one, waiting is inevitable. However, I've never experienced any delays when I have an appointment--never! read more

I walked in and stood by an hour. My name is on the list, and when they called me, they said my name got a glitch. So they asked me to check in again. But they told me you need to wait longer again. I can't believe they want me to do it again why it's not my fault if they had a problem on the computer. The lady who helped me no smiling, no greeting, and no respect at all. She was scolding me and talking loudly. She turned over me to her co-worker, his name Craig or Gregg, very respectful. Helpful and patient how he handled me. Today my daughter had an appointment here and this lady with really short hair assisted my daughter in room 1. My daughter kindly requested if she could do the urine test first because she needed to use the bathroom and she rudely denied her request and said that she has to take on other appointments even though my daughter was the last patient. She was so rude not only to my daughter but also to me. She rudely told me that I cannot take pictures even though I was not taking any photos at all. Brought my mother here for blood work and she had an appointment. All of the chairs were full except the ones right where you walk in so when they called her we got up to go in and it had been less than a minute we walk up and they took someone else in because they said we weren't here. I told them we were sitting right over there and he said well sorry we'll get you in after. This is BS. I had to take my son here to do a drug test for a job. They open at 6am, but he was told they couldn't help him until after 9am. We went back home, waited and then I brought him back after 9am as they suggested. He waited again only to be told that his school ID will not work and he needs to have a California ID or DL with his photo on it and a school ID will not work. My son went down to the DMV, waited a few hours to get a temp ID... using his school ID and other documents required. The DMV didn't have any problems with his school ID showing 2020.. and this is for a California ID (more important than a pee test). We went to Quest Diagnostics again today with his school ID, temp ID from the DMV, SSN card and Birth Cert. We signed in, the sign in said it will be about 4 minutes. It took about 12 minutes before someone came out and called his name. They refused to do the drug test because they said his school ID expired (2020). I explained to them that he hasn't received a new school ID because of Covid, the schools haven't provided any new IDs. I told them that he spent a few hours at the DMV, used his school ID to get the California ID and the DMV excepted it. The lady kept insisting that it is against their policies and if the school ID is expired, he can't take the drug test. The company is full of robots that can't think for themselves and must obey policies... even during a global pandemic in which schools have been closed and new ID's have not been provided. If all they need to do is verify the person... and the person brings in their School ID, Temp DMV ID Papers, SSN Card, Birth Certificate, that should be enough. Because they are robots and need to follow commands and can't think for themselves even though it is evident that everything is there and just has an expired school ID, my son most likely will not get the job because he is not allowed to pee in a cup to prove he doesn't do drugs. I hope I never need to deal with this company again. read more

The phlebotomists were good. Question??When you have us make an appointment and then it's late because "people are at lunch?" Is it something "new"people taking lunch breaks--pretty sure that happens every day. This should be accounted for in scheduling. I have never had a bad experience with any of the staff or technicians drawing blood. Remember to hydrate before you do lab work or it may be difficult to get a needle in. There should be a sign posted saying they don't take appointments after 3:30 pm as to not waste your time. read more

Came in here yesterday and had such an amazing experience with Kimberly! From the start the office was clean and the wait time was quick. Kimberly took her time to explain all the testing I needed done and made me feel very comfortable. Normally when getting my blood taken I get super bruised and it usually hurts. Not this time!! There was not one person in line, and I was the 1st person there, and still nobody was there for an appointment when they opened . They turned me away and wouldn't let me be on standby. The guy was rude and yelling at me. I sat there for 10 mins waiting after they opened and was still the ONLY person there, and he wouldn't see me! Quest is a joke, and so are their employees! Ok Quest Diagnostics online is stupid with their on line security with patient accounts. I tired to do the verification and they asked mw about a person I didn't know. The person they asked about is not anyone one I know or related to. I was asked about a complete stranger so I guessed. It was wrong so I am now locked out for 3 days because of their stupidity and having no customer service open on the weekends, not even tech support is open to clear this up. I brought an 88yr old stroke patient in for labs today. The place had 6 pp waiting. After an hour viewing the monitor & chatting with patients we realized it wasn't just appts bumping us but other walk ins- (room went from full-empty & then pp again)..I caught a tech with a patient leaving & told her what had happened & she insisted she only called appointments ahead of us & when I asked her if she was ready for us now she got a very nasty attitude and said NO! She then preceded to sit there at the desk which was hard to tell whether she was actually doing anything.. after about 5 minutes she left to go in the back with no patient disappearing around 10 min.. by the time she came back the new lady who we had been chatting with was then called back by another employee (3 minutes early for her appointment) and then the same bad attitude lady called us up.. while she asked questions at the desk another lab person called the last person back..so we again were the only ones in the waiting room! When we went back with this woman she told me the lab slip ( which was also sent by fax weeks prior)did not have the correct requests.. I pointed out written labs listed on the paper. She said the dr did not list the codes correctly and Medicare would not pay so we needed to sign a paper to accept we will pay all the cost. I asked could they get the codes or call the dr? She said they don't have time for that! So I told her I don't understand why this is just coming up now and not earlier since we've waited over hour. Couldn't they call billing or would quest-diagnostics resubmit it? She told me she can't tell us what billing would do & we needed to accept that we would pay all these fees by signing it or we should leave and get new papers from the Dr ! I said please don't upset my dad with this I will sign. She brought back the paper and said "here since you want to sign".. I said "I don't want to but I feel like we don't really have a choice..he's older & we've already been here over an hour" well she hit the roof yelling at me that she wasn't going to service us and getting someone else! She stormed out & sent in another lady who was nice.moments later she came back and started yelling at us about how I was mad about waiting so long! Then the male tech came in from the next room to try to diffuse the situation.. I told him it was not just the wait-it was that if there was a problem with the codes then why wasn't it addressed earlier than waiting over an hour till they are about to draw the actual blood? I told him she said we either had to be prepared to pay the services when they get denied & sign the paper or leave! The irate female tech then came back into the room a third time screaming at me again while I was trying to talk with the other tech..The male tech put his body between her and myself which I found weird because I was not instigating anything physical but obviously maybe he knew her and she was?? Obviously no one stands up to her or questions this woman.. She started screaming at me to "shut up! " & "Stop Talking!!" As I tried explain what she had told us.. the tech acted like he could not believe it..told me she would never tell us that because she trained him and knew this was not a big thing- it happens all the time! The billing department will put the codes on later!!!( wow obviously she totally lied to try to get us to leave!) so during the time this bad female tech was yelling at me and things were crazy the male tech was bouncing around with his arms out stretched as to prevent a physical altercation .. my guess was her from hitting me? I have No idea but he seemed irritated and my 88 yr old elderly family member now got up to try to come between the male tech and myself feeling I was in danger from both of them possibly my family member started yelling to "stop it!" , "what is going on?!?" , "please stop!" , "this is crazy!"Omg it WAS insane! My gut instinct told me she got really angry from the beginning at the front desk when I questioned what was happening and I was absolutely right! Obviously anger issues and a very bruised ego! The situation felt very dangerous because she went from a bad employee with an attitude to basically threatening where other employees felt they had to block her! She put my elderly family member at risk who had suffered a full stroke less than 2 months ago. He is a fall risk and the fact that he felt I was in danger at a medical lab is inexcusable! The male clerk did come back and gave me a quest Diagnostic business card with two names on it & a number to an office manager Named Lisa.. I've called multiple times..the number just rings and the voice mail says it has never been set up. I'm not sure what the angry clerks name but she has worked there a long time and appears to be African American . I hope there are cameras recording in quest because I have reported it now directly to the corporate level! read more

The pictures for this yelp do not match the actual quest facility. They match the one that used to be directly across the street on Spreckels Ave. That being said, I went for lab work today and was bummed to see the Spreckels facility had permanently closed :( So I drove right across the street to this one on Norman Drive thinking they had big shoes to fill. To my delight I received the same great, efficient, friendly, and compassionate service that I used to love about the old location. When you are sick and/or going through traumatic times with health the last thing you want to deal with are mean rude employees. I give Quest major props for always staffing their locations with compassionate employees who get you in and out in an instant! read more

The front desk girls are short & rude. Never a smile or any clue that they want to be there. I'm so sick of them being disrespectful every time I go in there. And they treat patients like we're stupid. The ones who draw blood have always been pleasant, but someone needs to shake up those front desk workers. They're miserable and plain mean. My mother went there to have blood work done on May 5, 2022 at around 11:30am. She was immediately approached by a man who was very aggressive, rude, and with raised voice jarringly informed her there are no appointments and "well if you were here at 7am, you would have seen a line of available appointments". He then shoved a piece of paper in her hand and told her to leave. She is 82 years old and there is absolutely no reason to be so harsh to an older member of our community just for trying to get routine blood work. Please educate your staff to be more respectful in the future to people who are non-aggressive and unaware of the lack of appointments. Thank you. read more

People are nice, but it took me 3 times to get in for an apt. First time, I didn't make an appointment. There were only 5 people in the waiting area when we arrived. So I signed in, and during this time, only 1 other person walked in. I ended up leaving after waiting an hour and still had not been called. I realize that if others who have made an apt. come in that they are priority, but when no one else is coming in, and they aren't calling anyone back after almost an hours time, that's a bit much. So I went home, and set up an apt. online for the next day. I got there on time, and this time they did call me up sooner, but they didn't have any of the paperwork that was sent electronically from my Dr's. office. Well, now I'm very frustrated. So I went to my Dr's. office, picked up a hard copy of my lab order, went home and made another apt. I tried calling them this time, could NOT get through to a live person, only automated message, and in that message, it states that if they haven't received your lab slip, that you can still be seen, they will just call the Dr's. office and take care of it. REALLY! Then why didn't they do that the second time that I came in? 3rd time was finally the charm, the staff was very nice, I've no complaints about that, it's just procedure that needs an overhaul. On a plus side, Quest does have an application that you can download, or you can register on their site to have lab results sent to you. I had them sent to my phone, which was great as I was able to go over them with my Dr. at my next apt. Anyone going I suggest that you 1. Make an appointment 2. Bring your lab slip with you, don't take a chance with it being sent electronically. I've a friend in Modesto who has had that same problem with Quest Labs getting Electronically sent forms from her Dr. as well. read more

Had a blood draw last week. The tech was sarcastic and cold. She also never set me up with the online results portal, so I don't even know my lab results. I eventually got myself signed up through trial and error, but still no results. And when you call, you cannot get a human on the line. Terrible service. Horrible patient care. Had my blood drawn 12-26-2018, the staff could be a bit more friendly, You know when you are not treated rudely but at the same time it was not best best experience. The person at the front sets the tone and she was not very engaging and or helpful. I informed her that my Doctors office stated I did not need any paper confirmation. They told me it's all electronics - Ok that's great. She says the doctors does. It make appointments , you need to log in - it a screen where you check in. So you know how Powell are talking to you but they don't really look at you - well that is this person. She asks me for my insurance card, she typing and then states something - I did not hear her , so she looks at me. I looking at her and she says - room 1. I am used to the people at the front desk are helpful and friendly and smile - it here As a service provider I would say they need a bit more team talks about treating their customers with a bit more customer service. My name is Rick, I called quest to see their hours of operation. I heard the hours, but not once did the automated message say anything about Fridays were only for appointments only. I went to the quest on (Norman dr. in Manteca Ca.) to get full panel blood work Friday Nov. 26th. I arrived at 6:55 five minutes before it opened. There were absolutely no other cars in the parking lot. The quest employee said they only took appointments on friday, I told her that I needed to get the blood work done, and they're were no other cars in the parking and I was there before they opened at 7:00am and could she at least let me get the blood work done. She refused to let me in, there were no cars but mine, if anyone had an appointment at 7:00 am, they were not there for the appointment. This woman had no compassion on me, she did not care about my severe pain. Why does quest diagnostics allow people to work there who don't care or have compassion on people in need. Why is this person even allowed to work there. It takes 5 minutes do do blood work, not one patient was there, if the woman had the gifts of help from God she would have some compassion. This one care provider (not really) has a wicked spirit in her, she is not caring nor compassionate about helping people in need. Don't go to quest diagnosis if the providers don't care about patients. read more

Getting blood drawn is not my favorite thing, but then again whose is it? When I have to go in biannually for my blood work, which I have to fast for, I want to get in and out as quick as possible. This is exactly what Quest does. While I have waited almost an hour at other places, I have never been at Quest more than 30min total. If you go on a weekday morning, they can even get you in and out in 10min! They have also always been helpful and friendly, no matter who is there. I definitely recommend Quest. read more

For being a lab, this place is pretty awesome. I've never been a fan of needing my blood drawn, especially because I'm one of those people who's veins don't like to cooperate, but I like this place. The staff is always pleasant, exceptionally clean, and ive never experienced any kind of unacceptable wait. I've never made an appointment either. I love that they are within walking distance to my house too! I've never had any issues with any services I've had to receive here. read more
