1. I complained of testicular pain and saw PA Amanda Coutour. She never examined the area, wrote a…read morescript for an ultrasound for the wrong area, which meant I paid for an ultrasound I didn't need. And I had to go back for a new script. 2. Saw Dr. Toocheck the second time. He wrote a script but it didn't have the correct info on it either. While at radiology, I had to call Premier back and coordinate between radiology and Premier because Premier wasn't answering radiology. Took an hour. 3. When I finally saw my PCP for my annual checkup, Dr. Jana was unapologetic and unempathic for my financial and time troubles with Toocheck and Coutour who are his colleagues. I complained of testicular discomfort and he belittled my concern, stating it was a small cyst. When I noted it could have grown, he scoffed. 4. This is all after a secretary made me schedule a mid-year follow up for another matter, and when I came in Jana apologized, said I didn't need to be there, yet I was still billed. I'll be getting a new PCP in a new group. While I was there for my annual checkup I overheard two other patients grumbling and complaining about PRemier. Don't go there. Incompetent and they lack empathy.

I told her, " You saw me at the computer when you were helping the woman." She went back in the office, came out and said "no appointment." Again I told her I made the appointment, got a time and verification. You saw me. She refused and took the man that made an appointment after mine. My appointment magically disappeared. Nothing fun ever happens at a Prometric site, and you can't really get excited about a place you go…read moreto take 8 hour multiple choice tests. That said, if your educational situation deems that's what you're about to do, the Monroeville Prometric isn't a bad place to end up. Parking is plentiful, and they do a decent job of temperature control in the building. The lockers are decent sized. Bathrooms (locked and around the corner) are clean. The employees are friendly even when enforcing security measures, which is a pleasant change from a previous Prometric experience in another state. They offer some free water and coffee, but if your exam is long I suggest bringing your own drinks and snacks. During one of my exams we ended up with a storm-caused power outage leading to a 20-minute delay, but it all was handled smoothly. Not somewhere you can get really jazzed about, but if you're taking an exam here, Prometric won't be the worst part of your day.

I ended up leaving AHN and switching to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center because I just couldn't handle the oncologist's attitude any longer. Everything about my treatment was her way or no way. I had no say in my healthcare at all. She also seemed to get annoyed if asked a question. When first diagnosed, I asked her what the prognosis was for stomach cancer. I got a lecture on how she's had a lot of patients older than me that got through it just fine. That wasn't what I asked, though. I had to go home and Google. FYI, stomach cancer has a 30% survival rate because it's usually caught too late. Luckily, that wasn't the case with me. When I was first diagnosed, my gastroenterologist told me I needed to see an oncology surgeon, so I made an appointment with one. When I saw my oncologist, she told me to see some doctor she's apparently friends with. When I told her I already had an appointment with an oncology surgeon, she got mad and literally made me sit there and wait while she texted her doctor friend to tell him I wouldn't be seeing him! How rude! I'm glad I switched, though, because it seems as though the Hillman Cancer Center is a lot more up to date than the AHN Cancer Institute at Forbes. My oncologist there did a (can't remember the name of the test) DNA test. The tumor was tested for its DNA, then my blood sample was tested to see if there was any of the tumor's DNA in the blood. Negative is good & means the cancer most likely won't return. Positive is bad and means it will. They don't do that at AHN Forbes. I gave two stars instead of one because the rest of the staff are really nice.
