We are from out of town. Had a cardiologist appt.. they wanted us to get some blood work done. Told us to go here.. what a joke!!!! The lady that worked there was so rude to customers.. she had brown hair. Pulled up on top of her head in a bun. Did not get her name.. I would expect more from riverbend.. maybe not quest, but those that work at riverbend are always so nice.. not her!!! We lost over an hour of our time due to her incompetence, lack of empathy, lack of care!! A customer there offered to give us her appt,,, but we did not take, as not fair to her to wait even longer.. wasted our time.. plus, as we walked out, due to her rudeness, there she was,,, smoking a cigarette out front!!! read more

As an option of last resort I ended up returning. This time the experience was even more Orwellian than the first with the TV audio assaulting my ears with an endless Quest infomercial of the worst 1990s midnight TV sort. Did not imagine the stench of corporate would be worse! read more

It was the doctor's order that was typed incorrectly and they took it out on her. Not to mention the white woman with dreads... gross. And she was the rudest of all. Had an excellent experience at this Quest Lab and highly recommend them. I was traveling from out-of-state and staying at a nearby RV park, not familiar with area. Made an online 8:00 a.m. appointment with some trepidation because of some previous bad reviews. It was easy to find and access. It was very busy. Even though waiting room was 80% full, I got there at 7:55 and was called in at 8:00, my appointment time. That was a very pleasant surprise! The phlebotomist was kind and friendly. But most important of all, she had excellent skill, performed blood draw with one good painless stick. I'm usually a challenging stick, so I was impressed, and happy! Also, the lab was very clean. It was an excellent experience on every level. read more

Have lab work your doctor ordered? They say just pop over across town to Quest Diagnostics? Well, prepare to go on a quest! It may even be a multi day quest. On your quest, you won't encounter mythical beasts or other creatures to battle. You will find shabby waiting rooms, with nobody to even greet you or get you checked in, that will be done by a tablet on a post. There will be uncomfortable chairs, no TV, no reading materials, a monitor will falsely tell you that you have a 5 minute wait, which will never update. All of this aside, you may not even be able to have your labs done, on the first stage of my quest, I waited looking at the shabby carpets, fake plants and art purchased from a storage unit auction for an hour, to then be told that they wouldn't be able to help me today. I would have to call and schedule an appointment. I left, called from the parking lot, spoke to a robotic appointment system, the next available appointment was one week out. I took the first available appointment, then on the day of the appointment I showed up at that shabby office only to find it closed, which conveniently right then I received a text from the robot telling me that my appointment was canceled. I went home and got online, made an appointment for the next available slot, a week later and was finally able to complete my quest! Mythical beast slayed! The bottom line, this is a business that does not value their customers or employees. You can tell from the moment you walk through the door that their business model is minimal service to the annoying customer, bill the insurance company and pass the savings on to the business owners. These offices are understaffed, minimal service operations that leave you feeling like your doing business with a totally greedy organization. I dread ever having to go back there. read more

I am writing this email to complain about the worst customer service experience I have ever had with Quest Diagnostics. This event took place at 3377 Riverbend Drive, Springfield, OR 97477 My appointment was scheduled for 10:30 AM. I was called back by a man (the phlebotomist) who neither greeted me nor told me his name (later find out his name is SEAN which he did not want to disclose). All this phlebotomist kept doing throughout the whole transaction was yawning. While he is typing information into the computer, Sean repeatedly tells me he is so tired because he just worked back-to-back shifts. He further tells me "I'm going to call out sick from my gas station job tomorrow because I am just too tired." This is not the information I want to hear from someone who is about to draw my blood. Sean is also moving back and forth and kicking up his legs because he says: "I'm trying to stay awake." Things go further downhill from here. The printed lab orders I handed Sean were ones I have drawn routinely at Quest. It took him about 20 minutes to enter all of the labs. I can understand taking time to input orders but the amount of time it was taking him and his continuous yawning and complaining about being tired was totally inappropriate. I gave Sean my driver's license and medical insurance cards. He kept them on the computer. Even though I gave him my driver's license, Sean asked me for my address three different times. When he sensed I was getting angry, he said: "Sir, I am doing the best I can." He must have said that at least four separate times. It is hard to do the best you can if you have told me, again and again, you have not had enough sleep. When he was going to "send me on my way," as he put it, I told him that I needed the specimen cup for the urine sample. Sean proceeds to hand me a 24-hour collection container for urine. I told him I never use that container but rather a small specimen cup as only a small amount of urine is required for the test I have done repeatedly. Sean tells me "I'm just doing what the computer is telling me to do." He consults a colleague who confirms he must have input the wrong test. The colleague gives him the order code 6017 as the correct input. He then has to restart the complete order because he put the wrong number in. He asks this colleague two more times "what was that code?" Sean is doing this (yelling across the whole lab because the other phlebotomist is all the way down the other end) with other patients in the lab. At this point, I ask for his name as I know I will be filing a complaint. Sean just turns around and glares at me. I told him I was going to contact Quest regarding his behavior. He still hesitates to give me his name. He finally tells me his name, very reluctantly. Meanwhile, another phlebotomist (MORGAN) comes over to see if she can be of assistance. I tell Morgan that Sean is acting very unprofessionally ("I'm so tired," constantly kicking up his feet, will not listen to me about the urine specimen, etc.). Morgan asks me if I would like her to take over the transaction and I tell her yes. Other ladies come over and help out as well. Fortunately, they turned this negative and horrible experience into one that was more bearable. Morgan was stellar in her handling of this situation. Sean was very angry that Morgan had taken over because he stormed away. He then proceeds to glare at us from the other far end of the lab. Sean is clearly very angry and agitated at this point. I can understand everybody in the medical profession is under duress due to the challenging times now, but Sean's behavior was very unprofessional and borderline incompetent. To tell me how tired he is and then arguing with me about the urine specimen is totally unacceptable. Sean needs to be severely reprimanded for his behavior and lack of sincerity. He will never draw blood from me again. Sean needs retraining in basic customer service. He also needs to get enough sleep and not complain about his lack of sleep to the client. Perhaps, then he will input the correct orders. What if I hadn't spoken up? I'd be doing the wrong test (for 24 hours) and being charged for it, too. I plan to tell people about Sean so they can avoid a similar situation. I hope Quest Diagnostics will retrain Sean and teach him basic customer service as well as appropriate and inappropriate behavior when interacting with patients. Right now, Sean is a liability to Quest. He is no asset whatsoever. read more

I really hate doing this, as I've worked with the public most of my life. But being flat-out rude is never okay, especially when dealing with people who are ill or older. The check-in kiosk is going to be a challenge for older folks, there's no one to help out, and the calendar lists weekends even though they're closed, so it's misleading. I was there with my mom, and had to ask a question about scheduling. I waited until the only tech there noticed me and got immediate attitude. When an older gentleman came up behind me with a query of his own, she literally said, "Oh, we're playing 20 Questions now?" There was no one else in the lobby, no one waiting or demanding anything of her. Now I have to go out of my way to a different testing center, because no way am I going to give her the chance to talk to my mother that way. read more
