Pro: Staff are approachable, friendly, supportive and the medical practitioner I saw was friendly, proficient, skilled, and willing to help. She quickly resolved my issue I came in with. The nurses and MA were all helpful despite the long wait. But recognizing that this is an urgent care and a walk in clinic, that's expected. Con: Despite having a wait area the space of about 15' x 9', patients were not required to wear a mask even if they're coughing and clearly showing signs of being infectious to others in that tight space. Being that this is a health facility. policy should reflect the wellbeing of everyone. My daughter developed a fever whilst we're home visiting. She was so miserable, her fever just wasn't moving, and then she started showing other symptoms like having a runny nose and a bit of cough, plus she started becoming pretty hoarse. My sister is a nurse so I had her check her a few times for wheezing and whatnot, and possibly to put me at ease she suggested I take her to urgent care. This one was closest. One of the things it has going for it is that it's not Riverbend, because the ER there is insane. We were in and out of here within about an hour. The receptionist wasn't the friendliest but the other staff we interacted with were. While I appreciate that it was relatively quick for us to be seen and leave--which I especially appreciated because trying to keep a toddler happy in a place like that isn't always easy--it was what happened after my visit that left me a little unsure about the place. My child had a COVID-flu-RSV test and they called back with the results after we left. Unfortunately my babe had RSV (thank god she had a vaccine for it as soon as she was eligible because I can't imagine her having this without it, but that's another story). I had questions about how to best care for her during her illness and the person I spoke with couldn't answer my questions and was instead asking whomever was sitting with her at the desk. I went to BestMed for a tetanus shot after injuring a finger. It was nearing the end of the 48 hour window for it to be effective. However I had an appointment for a back surgery procedure an hour later in the morning. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Fortunately it was shortly after eight so there were not any other cases. The staff answered all my questions and assured me there would not be any conflict due to the surgery. Ok so I love this location. But the virtual urgent care is a non starter. Last week k was sick as a dog with a sinus infection. Made an appt for virtual. Checked in. Sat. And sat. Then it said I was no longer in line. Called and let the phone ring for 9 minutes. Woman who answers says make another appointment. I'm frustrated but do. Finally at closing the connect. So now husband is sick. Started at 9am. Took a 10:45 appt. Checked in. Got dumped. Called. Woman who answers says "I don't know much about the virtual system but you aren't listed. Scheduled again. Three hour wait. Provider spent maybe 2 seconds looking at my throat. No other checks after a complaint of sore throat and shortness of breath. Asked me about a fever, blood pressure and pulse when another provider had just taken those vital signs and wrote them down. read more

Beware, especially to veterans and others who use USAA for medicare supplemental insurance. Bestmed is known to not honor USAA medicare supplemental insurance. So individuals, particular veterans and their families, will be denied their coverage. To date, our attempts to have this problem remedied by Bestmed have failed. read more

If they stick a tongue depressor in your mouth or a blood pressure cuff on your arm expect a $300 bill. No that doesn't include x-rays or any real examination beyond taking your temperature. This place represents the worst in healthcare and capitalism as they collide -- it's a big wake up call that you get what you pay for -- or do you? I may as well have gone to the emergency room for the prices they charge for a basic examination. Take the time to make phone calls and examine your choices thoroughly. Had to come in because of long term side effects of having COVID, and the nurse did not know how to put on the blood pressure sleeve. He also took my temperature wrong 2 different times. After waiting nearly 45 minutes for the doctor, she was not wearing her mask properly (kept going beneath her nose) and coughed when she was standing less than 2 feet from me. They got us right in, the staff was great and made us feel welcome, even though we got there right before they closed so they ended up having to stay late to accommodate us. I called on Thursday because my 7yo son had been exposed to somebody who tested positive for COVID on Wednesday. I waited on hold for 30 minutes. The person that answered said that I couldn't bring him in for a test because CDC guidelines recommend waiting 3-5 days for the test to be accurate. 3 days later we showed up, waited an hour outside for an appointment, only to arrive at the desk and be told that we have to wait 7 days, not 3-5. They apologized, but needless to say, I have lost trust. Not sure where we'll go in 4 days for the test, but it won't be Nova. read more

I strongly dissuade any prospective patients from signing up for PrimeCare partners. This is a corporate, poorly organized medical organization who routinely provides an inadequate level of care, and is unapologetic about it. To distill: my doctor recommended/ordered several tests and procedures for me during the short time that I was patient here. But she never contacted me or provided me with those results unless I followed up. The office had many excuses for these issues (they were confused about my name, they transposed a digit in my phone number etc.) but the results were frequently very important to me and my healthcare. These delays potentially could have been dangerous to my health. A couple of days ago I called in again to check on results to another test, only to find that the results had come in weeks ago and yet again were not communicated to me, by phone, e-mail or letter. When I inquired about why this kept happening and if we could figure out a way to not have this happen in the future, the receptionist began to laugh at me. I responded that I felt as though they were not providing the adequate follow-through on their work and that my care was suffering as a result. This morning I received a defensive call from my doctor who said that since they were not meeting my lofty expectations, they were dropping me as a patient. During this time, she still failed to provide me with the test results I had requested. Be warned, if you come here, this will happen to you. Steer very clear. read more

My wife went in on a Saturday with a hurt ankle or foot after falling in the yard. She went to the Best Med on Willamette. They didn't have an x-ray tech and sent her to the Best Med on Patterson. They did an x-ray, and then told her they didn't have an radiologist to read the x-ray. They called a couple of days later and suggested she get another x-ray as they didn't see anything. We have private insurance, a Gold plan from a major carrier. They billed insurance $534 and the insurance paid a portion of the bill and then Best Med billed us for $211. We ended up going for another x-ray with her primary care provider. I called to ask for an adjustment because they didn't do anything at either location other than suggesting she get another x-ray. I called and asked for an adjustment because it was a waste of time. The nice person I talked to said she'd send it to a higher level and they'd get back to me. No call back. I've called four times and left a message. I finally got the same nice person, (I took names and extension number) said she'd send it up a level to another person. No calls in six weeks. I'm paying the bill and we'll never go back. A waste of time and money. read more

Ridiculous. I'm sure this review will get buried. Do NOT "schedule a visit" because it's a waste of time. I definitely feel like less than human. I called this morning to ask about getting a Covid test. The woman on the phone said "It's a long wait. Best to schedule an appointment". I schedule the appointment, waited all day, it got delayed by 1.5 hours. No big deal. I arrive. The woman at the front desk says, "Should I check you in?" "Yes, why not?" "It's a 2 hours wait." "I have an appointment." "Yeah, it's a bad system." "Then what's the point of an appointment?" "None really". "Can I wait at home? It's a 5 min drive" "No, if you don't show up within 1 min of us calling your name we're cancelling your appointment. You have to wait outside or in your car." It's 92F outside, the only shade is directly in front of the door, I'm boiling, I don't have water because I didn't expect to wait for 2 hrs and I can't get any because I might miss the 1 minute window. I recently visited Nova / Urgent Care on Willamette in Eugene to have a head laceration treated. The attention and care there was excellent. There was no waiting and paperwork was modest compared to a hospital emergency room. 5 staples were needed to close the wound. The procedure was absolutely painless. I was out the door in 25 minutes.
