For my first visit I made an early morning appointment and waited over an hour after my appointment time. I wanted to give them a second chance, especially considering COVID, to see if this was the norm. I shouldn't have. For my second appointment I arrived just before 7:15 AM (no appointment). I was told the wait time would be 17 minutes. Great! At 8:20 I asked about the expected wait time and my wait was "10 more minutes". Ten minutes later I checked again aaaaand I was once again told the wait would be 10 more minutes. I was finally taken at approximately 9 AM. The final straw for me on this location was a very elderly, frail patient must have taken awhile to get back in after his name was called (you are told to wait in your car due to COVID). He was told he lost his spot and had to go to the back of the list. That is completely unacceptable- which keep in mind is over 2 hours long. Any decent human wouldn't do that to someone else. They would take him and understand he couldn't run in immediately when his phone is texted to come inside. I'll never give this place my business and highly recommend you do not either. read more

Very rude person helped my husband in the morning. Wanted to make sure the doctor received results ASAP, didn't feel that this very rude women had correct number. So I went there, there is no direct contact with a human, had to use the sign in computer. Same rude women my husband had came out to get me. Very rudely told me that they had the doctors information. Someone like this should not be doing this job. She obviously doesn't like working with the public. In a job like this you should be nice. This pertains to the Middle Rd location in Sayville, Saturday morning, October 10. My wife, who is 7 1/2 months pregnant arrived at the office for an 8:30 appt. that her doctor arranged for her. The woman working the front desk was an absolute BITCH because she could not find my wife's appt. Eventually after some phone calls, my wife's appointment was indeed confirmed, and the BITCH at the front desk did not bother to apologize for how rude she was. In fact, as my wife sat waiting for it all to get sorted out, the front desk, piece of shit, woman even managed to poke fun at my wife by obnoxiously, purposely, and loudly saying to other patients "isn't it great when you have an APPOINTMENT." I just wanted to thank the BITCH, that's B-I-T-C-H, working the front desk, for stressing out my pregnant wife....Please find a replacement for this piece of trash. read more

Easily the absolute WORST medical experience I ever had. Rude,inefficient staff. Waiting time of 6 hours of which they told me to wait in my car. They said they would text me when it was time to go back to have blood drawn. I went back and waited for an hour and a half,often by myself in the waiting room,then was told it could be 2 to four hours waiting time! Stopped in twice today to ask a question. The first time there were people in the lobby talking about filing a complaint. Nobody was around to answer my question so I left and came back later, The staff was so rude and short with me!! Quest needs to do something about this location. Went to Quest Diagnostics in Sayville for bloodwork early because my son had to fast. Turns out my appointment was the week after. There was only 1 person waiting and she said you can wait now if you want so you don't have to come back next week. Okay I did that. All these people came in (with appointments) so understandingly we waited. After about 30 min of still waiting the receptionist says "ma'am I don't know if you want to wait because I don't know when I'll be able to get you in because all of these people have appointments" ( she said it with a nasty attitude) so I said yes I understand. Would you be able to tell me roughly how much longer do you think ? In a very condescending way she says "no I can't tell you how much longer because you see all these people walking in have appointments and you don't, do you want to wait" so now I'm like no that's okay I'll leave (because she was nasty ) she says do you want to make a new appointment ? Nope no thank you and I walk out to my car. She yells out "you forgot your script" so i tell my son to go back in and get it because honestly I was done with the way she was speaking to me. She's telling my son at that point that they can get him in right now. Okay. So I walk back in and go to the back. All the people in the back now are looking at me like I'm some kind of "problem person". After all was said and done my son tells me that he heard the receptionist yell into the back "the mom is having a fit" of course I didn't hear that. Now it explains why the rest of the people working there were giving me attitude. Would never go back to this place ! Wish I would have read the reviews before I went. read more

The worst ever! The wait for a routine blood test is 4 hours without an appointment. To make an appointment you need the internet. There was an old man online that said I do no have the internet. The answer from the worker I guess you have to wait. read more

I scheduled an appt. online for 07:15am. I arrived in the the parking lot and clicked the link to check-in as instructed via text at about 7am. The website said thank you, please wait for a text to come in. I waited and at 7:17am received the text, "Thanks for waiting, we are ready for you to come in now." The lady at the desk mumbled something to me about my appointment and told me to sit down. She yelled out to the "only phlebotomist here today," that I was here and I waited inside for an additional 10 minutes. I asked if the wait would be much longer and was scolded that I "wasn't here for my appointment time in time so the next person was taken." I tried to explain that I wasn't looking to argue - I was just following directions that told me to wait in my vehicle until I received a text, would she like to see my text and when it was time stamped? The very abrupt and rude receptionist told me, "I don't need to see your text, it's the computer, not me, common sense tells you if you have an appointment you should come inside and be ready to roll!" I explained that "common sense may not apply during a global pandemic when social distancing and gathering is limited," and she she would not even hear me. I'm completely baffled that someone so rude and unprofessional could be the front representation for a business dealing with people/patients. Not a great way to start the day. I've had nothing but good experiences with the staff. The phlebotomist who drew blood from me was awesome. I barely felt a pinch. The problem with this lab is the way it's run or the company Quest itself. The bathroom had no running hot water or paper towels. So after giving a urine sample, when you have urine on your hands, you must wash your hands in VERY COLD water (never turns warm or hot) and then use a blow dryer which at first shoots out COLD air only to turn to lukewarm at best. There was not one paper towel anywhere in the bathroom. Hand blow dryers can spread germs! A lab should know this. So there's dozens of people using their bathroom daily, with urine on their hands, washing with cold water and then placing them under a hand blow dryer with cold/lukewarm air. A blood/urine specimen lab should be adhering to the upmost sanitary standards. They fall short big time. read more

Horrible. I was 28 weeks pregnant and my doctor wanted me to take a diabetes test. I waited 2 weeks for this appointment. I had to fast for 14 hours before the test so I was starving myself and my baby for this test. I received a text from quest 1 hour before my appointment confirming. I got to my appointment and the door was locked. On the door was a note that read "we are temporarily closed, sorry for the inconvenience." The fact that I spent 2 weeks waiting and all that time fasting while pregnant and they couldn't even give me a phone call to reschedule really angered me. It was raining out, and I watched as many elderly men and women walked up to the door to be disappointed reading the same sign, that was the saddest part. I had to wait another 2 weeks and fast all over again, I went to a different location of course! Quest Sayville is terribly unprofessional and should not be in business wasting people's time like it's nothing! read more

The west sayville office is a delight to go too!!! The girls are professional and go above and beyond for there patients!! Totally recommend quest to all patients!! What a wonderful experience read more
