Upon entering our apartment, one of the movers, before even introducing himself, wanted to know if he could take the window a/c units home for himself. They spilled coffee all the way down our landlord's steps and now she's asking us to pay for a $250 cleaning bill. They complained to us the entire day about having to move all the boxes and furniture (you know, they job they were hired to do). At our new home, they left garbage everywhere and our large furniture items upside down and left in shrink wrap. They damaged or destroyed so many pieces of furniture, including tearing a huge hole in our couch. They slammed down a box that was clearly marked fragile; every glass inside was carefully wrapped in foam and paper, but their extreme treatment still shattered a glass into a thousand pieces. And since they have the payment, they don't care; they refuse to answer or return our calls now. Oh, and they don't inform you until the end when they demand payment the same day that they will upcharge you if you try to use a credit card. I can't recommend other movers enough. Stay clear of Morrissey Moving unless you want the quality of service you can get from random bums on the street.

I have to say it was the best moving experience I've ever had!!! They took the bike apart and wrapped it it in bubble wrap and moving blankets and they did the same with the furniture totally professional. Dealing with Nick was an absolute pleasure he was on top of every detail and couldn't have been more accommodating to any concerns we had. The moving guys themselves were super nice and as I mentioned very professional. Everything arrived in perfect condition, they put the furniture where we wanted it and put the Peleton bike back together perfectly. I really cannot say enough good things about this company.I will definitely recommend them to everyone and will use them again in the future should the need arise. 100% completely satisfied! This company's reviews must be all fake because they do not really explain how bad this company really is. (Wish I could rate less than one star!!) Unprofessional: Dave arrived to our residence and underestimated how much space/what size truck he would need for our stuff, which resulted in them having to them leave half our items in our apartment. They then had to come back a few days later to get the rest of the items. LIARS: After many emails assuring us that once they picked up our stuff in New York it would arrive in 5-7 days in Florida, what really happened was that our stuff spent 2 weeks in their storage in New Jersey. Calling them and emailing them for explanation would only get me a "soon" response or yelling at me over the phone saying, once again, "it will get there soon". After the 2 weeks, which we had to spend in a hotel waiting for our stuff to arrive to our new apartment, they finally emailed saying it should be there in another 7 days. This meant, more money spent on a hotel and more waiting around for our stuff to finally arrive. When I would ask for an update, the only response I would get would be, once again, "soon". To show you how bad this company is, they had no idea who they hired to bring our stuff down to Florida. How do I know? After texting back and forth with the truck driver and explaining why we were in such a rush, our stuff finally arrived. But as the truck driver was unloading our stuff, we got an email from the company saying that he should arrive the next week. Just goes to show you what bad communication there is between their staff. Con Men: After dealing with all of the above, their prolonged delays and their bad/unprofessional attitude, we now had to deal with damaged items. As you see on the contract you sign with them, there is an insurance, a very crappy one, but still one. We sent the pictures of the broken items expecting to have them replaced or paid for - as you one think when you pay extra for insurance. Instead what we got was a fight back and forth on the actual weight of each item. Even after sending them links from where we bought the items, with description and actual weight, they still fought and said it was less. Tired of the constant emails (48 up to now), we agreed to their quote and asked them to send us the claim check. That was back in June 22nd. I've emailed every day and the answer now is either "this week" or no answer at all. I've moved multiple times and have never encountered such unprofessional moving services. If you want to deal with movers who misquote you, store your stuff until they decide it's time to ship, yell at you, and then never take responsibility for what they damaged, hire them. Otherwise, BEWARE, STAY AWAY!!!!!

Disappointing Experience - Be Cautious if You're a Young Couple…read more Many people recommended Best Guy for our move from New York to Israel, so we hired them. The original quote was for under 200 cubic feet. After packing at our apartment, it jumped to 300, and once it reached the warehouse, it increased again to 400 -- double the original estimate. We had even signed a document stating the total wouldn't exceed 20% above the quote, yet it went far beyond that. To his credit, Guy did split the difference with us, which we appreciated, but the process was inconsistent and stressful. When our shipment arrived, around 25 books, my college diploma, and other items were damaged -- clearly from poor packing, not transport. The loss was just under $1,000, yet we were only offered $150 as "goodwill," and later $75 more after we involved a lawyer. Guy was friendly, but overall the experience was disappointing. Other young couples we know had similar issues with inaccurate quotes. If you have a big household move, Best Guy may be fine, but for smaller shipments or young couples, look elsewhere.
