It is a family business with quick service and fair prices, but it needs to increase its warranty period, stand behind its work, and stop using cheap non-OEM parts. I paid to have two rear hub bearing assemblies done that failed, making a loud humming noise after only 1,500 miles in. I called about it, and the guy said over the phone bring the car back, and we will take care of you, no problem, he said. One hour later, instead of fixing the problem, he claimed the noise was coming from the front left side which had a spare tire on it, and that would be another $460, which I knew was B.S. since I confirmed it wasn't the front when I went to the tire place to order a new tire and put on the spare. So now I'm confused and want my car back to not only fix my front tire but get a second opinion after asking the guy twice, "Are you sure the noise is coming from the front?" and if I didn't want the work done pay us $95 for the inspection. Who said anything about an inspection fee? I'm here for you to check the rear bearing you replaced, and this was my second time returning. He was trying to cover his costs to correct the initial problem. So, I took my keys back and had to take the loss and take it to another shop and pay another $750 to redo the same two rear bearings, and amazingly, the humming noise went away. read more

I went to the usual brake repair shop ant got a nice fat quote saying I needed all new shoes, pads and rotors. FML. I was going to my niece's so I popped in and gave it a shot. Scumbags. Owner thinks hes better than everyone or something. Brought my 2012 audi here 6 times in one month. They continuously did repairs but to no avail. Last week the car overheated and the engine seized even though i had brought the vehicle to them to fix that very issue. Paid them over $1,000, didnt get anywhere. Now i have a new vehicle with an acceleration issue, the owner wants to give me the same bitch attitude as always. 1 week later- My car was still making a scraping noise and Sam told me after they replaced the brakes that if I had any problems just come back. So I did just that. I waited for 4 hours. Sam's son drove with me in the car to hear the sound that I was describing and decided that it would be a quick fix to shave down the worn rotors since they were disproportionately scraping against the new brake pads. Once again, they said if it kept giving me problems to return 2 days later- My car is still making the scraping noise. I told Sam that I had been there twice before and the small fixes had not worked. He recommended replacing the rotors. I decided for the best outcome, I'd replace the brakes and rotors since I've had all parts since the very beginning. After another 4-5 hours, they replaced everything and charged me $180. This is where I got upset. So from a simple problem, I ended up paying $240 for labor and about $80 for parts. Which nearly puts me back at the dealership prices. Because Sam acted as though he would fix the problems free of charge or for a discounted price when he told me to return if the small fixes didn't work, I thought I was getting the best deal in the beginning. BUT knowing what I know now, I would've just had them replace everything from the beginning and saved almost $100 and 9 hours of my time which both are precious during this pandemic. read more

I called to inquire about the price to repair my tire that had a nail in it. I was told that it would be $20 if the tire was repairable. When I got there I got in quickly. I was told that it would be about five minutes which it was. The guy told me that there was a small nail in the tire. When my car was done I was getting ready to pay and the guy told me don't worry about it! I was shocked because I am so used to car repair places trying to get over on women! I got a starter and fuel pump replaced when i paid for service done i went to truck to leave and truck wouldn't start...they jumped it ...made no mention that i needed a battery...i drove home and truck wouldnt start...i called the place he asked if i had jumped it again i said yes but it wouldn't start assuming it was The starter..he said he would tow it but if it was the battery i would have to pay for the tow...i paid 1000 dollars for service not complete in my eyes....he was nonchalant in saying you needed a new battery we argued the point i paid for tow....still needing a battery ....so i thought Truck hasn't died out since...whick means this coulda been avoided if they completely servuced my vehicle ....made sure battery was charged since they had to jump it a few times during service....which i didnt find out about til i started asking questions...this was pretty simple but elder guy choice to not represent the better side of business...we also argued the point that i had to wait for mechanics to finish other jobs before they would figure if my battery was bad by giving me a jump...i hung up he went and jumped my truck. Himself called me back 3 min later and said you need a battery you owe for tow.... I tow my truck at 11 ...it 2 pm and im calling them about my truck and hes like we got other work...until i said that was not cool i had already paid for service completed why should i be so inconvenience...ive been waiting since Saturday night for the shop to open in monday....and get this....im a customer...and a business guy...sometimes customer is right....in business they say customers are allways right....i just want people to think of being fair....i felt my dollars wasnt valued...and they coulda made. I called before going over and asked if I could get an estimate for (CODES) repairs need to pass the IL Air Team Vehicle Inspection test, I was told to come in, after getting there I was told "I can't give you an estimate because you actually looked up your codes" (through the manufacturer of my car, so now I know whats wrong with it and you can't add additional items and charges to the list of needed repairs), "We need to run a diagnostic" (the same test as the IL Air Team)..."So we can't give you an estimate" THIS IS A RIP OFF TACTIC!!! I've used Yelp for years, but is my first-ever review, because Quick & Fair was just so great. I may have just beaten the noontime rush but I came in and was taken care of immediately (around 11AM). I was worried things would be extremely expensive since the car is old and the last estimate I got for repairs (a year ago!) seemed absurdly high. Rizzo (hope I got your name right!) was patient and kind, and extremely positive about my dumpy Toyota Camry, which is apparently still in decent shape despite its age and appearance. Though they needed to order a new gasket, saw and replace some rusted piping and a valve, everything was done in around two hours. Throughout the job, Rizzo would show me what he was doing and why (what was wildly rusted through and needed to replaced etc.). He even put air in my tires and brushed some long-neglected leaf debris away. Yes, this place was quick, fair and easy indeed. Wish I'd come in months ago. I always take my car here whenever I have an issue. They're fair and honest and always do a great job at fixing whatever the issue is. There are times when I had to leave my car with them for repairs and they were nice enough to store it free of charge. I've made them my go-to shop whenever I have car troubles. So far they've fixed my alternator, battery, tune-up, flat tire, and various engine components.
