This place has worked on two of my cars for various services. The main service was getting a panel which supported the shocks replaced and soldered. Nothing I could have done by myself for sure! They also fixed the control arms and ball bearings on my Escort for a good price. They had to special order a part and I've been there enough times to not need a deposit before they ordered. Parking's a little tight but if you drop the car off, they'll find a place for it until they can get to it. I really appreciate all the work they do and customer service is pretty good. They told me that I needed an electric caliper, but all they had to do was put the car in brake service. They said the caliper was no longer working and they couldn't change the part but all they had to do was put it in emergency brake mode so that way the caliper would be able to come off. They're nice people, but they're not the most skilled. I brought them the right part yet they ran around, looking for this exact same part, thinking that the electric caliper didn't work. These guys are unprofessional and will keep you waiting for hours even if they're just looking for the part .The bald guy there is nice. I'll tell you that, but the lack of skill is very evident. I took my 14 year old Ford Ranger 4x4 Sport for a front end alignment, and wheel balancing. The front tires were wearing unevenly and major vibration occurred at 70mph. Damir showed me some additional issues relating to the age of some original suspension parts. (stuff wears out after 14 yrs.) 2 hrs. later all is fixed, and the truck is solid and smooth at 70 mph. Very reasonable prices, honest people (no rip off here), and a warranty on parts. I highly recommend Marquette if you need suspension work. read more

Bad experience at Marquette Frame & Wheel Alignment on 59th & Western (Chicago): I arrived at this shop at 9:40 a.m. and did not leave until approx. 4: 45 p.m. I spoke to Mike on Wednesday regarding the issue I was having with my car and informed him that I could not get to the shop until after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday and he said that would be fine. After a test drive with a mechanic around noon I thought my car would be worked on soon after. But, NO. Around 2:20 p.m. I went to the front desk to ask Mike when my car would be ready and he thought that it was. The lady working behind the desk interjected that they were waiting on a part. Even though this was not communicated to me and apparently not to him. Around 3:00 p.m. my car was taken to the work area and wasn't ready until around 4:45 p.m. I was prepared to wait for the car 3-4 hours, but not seven (7) plus hours. If this problem was communicated to me I would have taken an Uber home. The lady working the front desk still offered no communication. I asked to speak with a Manager which I did at the end of the day. He gave me an explanation why the part was late. My point is the lady who knew what was going on did not communicate with me, but just let me sit there as if I was nothing. She became very rude and hostile when I asked to speak with a manager. The car mechanic apologized to me for the long wait. This particular manager eventually apologized. The lady at the front desk still had the hostile front. I told her you have to be careful who you do business with, and I will do just that by not returning as long as customer service is being displayed in this manner. This is not an acceptable way to do business. I do not plan on returning. read more

I had my truck towed in a few weeks ago, to have my lateral link welded. I waited in the waiting area for 3 hrs, the lady at the front desk said it would be just 30mins and she will have my inspection report. Well after waiting another 30 mins I had to leave for work. She called me while I was driving and told me a number of things they felt my truck needed, which came to $1600. knowing this was my only transportation to wk ( I knew I couldn't keep my family members vehicle) . On their second business day I called, I was told they were currently still working on my truck. I called the next day, they had to order a part, the next day I get a voicemail. My truck is ready. I called first and they said they are not sure why I received that message my truck is not ready. Long story short I called for a week everyday a different story. By Saturday I decided to go get my truck. I arrive very early , a line of cars and customers waiting. My truck sitting on the lot with the wheel hanging off. When I told the lady I'm here to get my truck she looked shocked. They had taken parts off my truck which did not need to be removed, they placed what I thought were my parts on the ground near my truck. I had my truck towed out with all these parts in the back seat. They cut my exhaust system., stole parts, there were vice grips still attached under my truck. The parts they gave me did not go to my truck. some lugs were missing . I believe because I am a women they figured they could take parts off my truck and over charge me. This inconvenience me for a month getting to work. I would not recommend ANYONE TO THIS SHOP. They lied to me I proved the voice message they sent me and the man had an attitude when I said I just want my truck. I pray this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

Seems well run, staff is courteous, I walked out feeling confident in their work. Lifetime warranty on parts. Waiting area: 11 chairs, TV, snack & beverage machine, water fountain, restroom, security camera, no windows. Sign behind counter says: "Positively no checks. No invoice no warranty. Check out fee $25. (as in they'll "check out" your car) M-F 8-5 Sat 8-2 Labor rate $72" Play by play: Walked in half hour after they opened. Parked in front of the garage bays, didn't see any designated customer parking. Asked for an alignment, gentleman behind the counter was curt with "What model?" and prices. Apparently they have prices for just the front, the back, and both. Estimate: Damn. My suspension needs serious work, it's going to cost a lot. I'm not suspicious though; good Yelp ratings so far and I've had a feeling the suspension needed work. I approved the work. They gave me a free ride back home! They called 1/2 hour before closing, said they would be finished 15 min. after closing. All the work was explained, mechanics test drive vehicle, everything seems great. 1 Day Later: Car's pulling slightly to the right. I'll go back and ask them to check it out. I went in for a wheel/steering wheel alignment today because I replaced my two front tires yesterday and my steering wheel wasn't lined up properly. I was there before they opened at 8 am and even then I had about 7 people in line before me. So I asked the front desk guy about how long before my truck would be aligned and he said it should be done by 1pm or sooner. Being that an Uber ride home was about 30 dollars I decided to stick around and wait. At 1pm a mechanic came out to the parking lot and asked me for my keys and what was wrong with the truck. I explained I wanted an alignment. That I just had new tires put on it. He asked if the truck leaned to a particular side. I said no, the tires just wear out unevenly that's why I purchased new ones and wanted to get the alignment. I asked him if the wheel alignment straighten out the steering wheel and he said yes. He drove it around the block and into the garage. By 120pm he was backing my truck out of the garage and back into the parking lot. He saw me standing outside and told me the front desk guy was going to give me my estimate. Which left me a little puzzled since I had asked for a alignment. I asked if he did the alignment and he said no that the front desk guy would talk to me. So I walk inside and wait for the guy to call my name. Finally at 220pm an hour since my truck had been backed out of the garage he called my name. He continued to tell me that my truck "could use" rear struts, bushings, control arms and asked if I wanted to get that work done there. I said no and he asked if I still wanted to get my truck aligned? I said yes please and off the mechanic went to finally align my wheels. When I saw him lowering my truck down from the lift at about 250pm I walked outside to see if it was done. The mechanic was reversing it off the lift when he opened the door to get out I noticed my steering wheel was still crooked. I asked him about the steering wheel and he said he forgot to align it. So right back on the lift it went and I walked back inside to sit and wait some more. At about 310pm the mechanic walked into the waiting room and spoke to the front desk guy. He then called me and told me they couldn't straighten my steering wheel because someone installed my rack pinion wrong but they could align the wheels so the tires don't wear out unevenly. He then asked again if I wanted the alignment. To which I answered "of course." Finally by 330pm he called me up to charge me for a wheel alignment which is 65 dollars. I explained to him my frustrations never raising my voice or disrespecting anyone. I told him I waited over an hour after my vehicle had been inspected for work it "could use" for him to tell me and ask me if I still wanted my alignment. He apologized and said they had an abnormally busy day and he kept getting interrupted all day. I then asked why didn't they realize they couldn't align the steering wheel the first time they inspected it? He said had it been him working on the truck he would've noticed it the first time but since the mechanic that worked on my truck was inexperienced it took them longer to catch that. He said he was normally a mechanic and didn't work the front desk but his boss is sick so he's filling in. That being said he couldn't give me a discount on the alignment but if I went in for more work he could get me a discount. I told him after that experience I wouldn't be going back. He apologized and asked me to give them another opportunity. Needless to say I had a horrible day. Hours of my life I won't ever get back and I hope no one else has to deal with this. They are extremely unorganized. You've been warned. read more

I'm surprised I'm the first person to review this place! I had a good experience here. I found out about them by calling local auto shops and asking them where they'd recommend getting an alignment. I was glad for the recommendation since I was almost screwed at another place... To make a long story short, I needed an alignment because my car started pulling to the right side after I got it serviced (just an oil change and front brake pads) at Teloloapan. I brought it back there and said "Hey man, it wasn't pulling to the right before, what gives?" Teloloapan charged me something like $30 to check the alignment, then told me it was going to cost somewhere around $325 or more to align the wheels, which included the cost of making the holes on the struts larger at a cost of $75 per wheel. "Old cars like this usually need this done on all 4 wheels," they told me. I told them no thanks, let them keep the $30 and went home...something just didn't seem right to me. So I called a few auto shops and they recommended Marquette Frame & Wheel Align. Marquette was exactly the opposite kind of experience. They "miraculously" were able to align the car perfectly for somewhere around $100 and didn't need to widen any of the holes on the struts. They also showed me that my right rear bearing was in bad shape and needed to be replaced.. I had been hearing some rumbling noises and didn't think much of it, but that's what it was. Thank goodness they caught it or I would have been in a lot of trouble on the expressway... A couple of weeks later I noticed that the car was still pulling, except this time to the left, and not nearly as bad. I brought the car back to Marquette and rechecked. It turned out that the pull was in the tires (crappy tires!) and when they rotated the front to the back, the problem went away. They looked at it free of charge the second time and fixed the problem, even though it wasn't their fault. So yes, I recommend this place. It might be a little out of the way if you live on the north side, but they're good dudes and for me it's worth the drive. read more

I had my Honda 2003 crv towed to them after hitting a pothole near 63rd and Pirarie In January 2019 , at the suggestion of Martin mufflers ( a great repair shop ) on 65th and western . i had it towed to Martin mufflers but they couldn't do anything for it , the rear passenger tire was loose plus other damage underneath, Martin recomended Marquette frame and wheel , they did an EXCELLENT job for $1100 , my insurance paid $650.00 , the vehicle was ready in 2 days , they had to wait on a part . This my second review for a SECOND car I've owned and Im STILL pleased with their work and prices. I have a 2005 Buick Lacrosse. My brakes were so bad that they were screaming, well past whistling. I went in on a Friday morning and was about 2nd or 3rd in line. What I love about them is that they are honest about what work you need, what is minor and what is major, also how long it will take them to complete the work. I'm just now finding out that they will pick you up and drop you off. I may utilize that next visit because as great as they are, the waiting area ambiance inst much exciting. lol Long Story short, I got front brakes, rotors, and pads, back brakes and pads ( rotors were salvageable) for $379 including tax and labor. 1 year warranty on all parts. I received so many quotes from other places and I couldn't believe that I got all of that work done for such a reasonable price. They even put a quart of oil in the car for me. The mechanics that work in this place are no ASE certified nor do they know what they are doing. They are just parts replacers not actual technicians. They will mis-diagnose your problem, charge you a large sum of money to replace it and before you know it the issue will arise again. Got rear control arm done here. I take my car back today and they tell me its the rear control arm not knowing they were the one who repaired it in the first place. I informed them of that fact and they told me I would have to pay for labor all over again. The part has a lifetime warranty but I would have to pay for the labor. It hasn't even been 6 months since they did the work the first time and my car only had 216 more miles on it since the repair. It is impossible for a control arm to already have ware and tear in less then 6months. Something just does smell right. read more

They were recommended by a friend who had frame repair done (subsequently, he was also happy with their work). They did a great job on some front end work on my 40+ year old vehicle. Been going here for years from recommendation of a family member. The prices are great and I have never been over sold on parts unlike most places I have seen. I've gotten wheel bearings, axles, ball joints, struts, tires and more from them and have never been dissatisfied. Worst shop ever took our truck their for frame pulling after 4 days they call and say they could not full the frame so we go to pick it up and come to find out they made it worse and bent the radiator support frame and broke the fan.....then denied any wrong doing even though we had before and after picks to prove it.....never again will we go to them worst frame shop ever!!!!!!! read more
