Moe came highly recommended by several people. I drive a Macan that sits outside most of the time since I primarily use a company car, so it doesn't get driven often. After a few weeks, I turned it on and was met with warning lights I didn't recognize. I initially took it to Porsche, as I usually do, but the estimates they gave me were absurd. A close friend of mine, Shaun, suggested I take it to Moe--and I'm so glad I did. Moe worked with me on pricing, explained exactly what was causing the issues, and even took the time to educate me on my driving habits (apparently, I need to stop driving like I'm in NASCAR). He didn't have to do any of that, but he genuinely cared enough to explain everything thoroughly. That level of kindness and transparency is rare. As a woman, it's unfortunately common to feel taken advantage of at auto shops, especially since many of us aren't experts in mechanical engineering. That was absolutely not the case here. Randomly found this shop listed as installers for my simpletires order. Having driven by this location numerous times before I was a bit perplexed as the photos on google didn't match anything from my memories. The exterior is currently a very subdued gray with a neat pair of gold statues marking the garage entrance. The gentleman helping me and the owner were professional and friendly. The interior was clean and safe for a person semi-traumatized from putting on a donut to wander through. In short I was impressed with the place and at ease after talking with them. So I decided to also get an oil change too on top of the tire installation because at that point I wanted to double down on the outcome of the experience. Both the tires and the oil change were done within a couple hours and the car has been running great since! The cost for the install and the oil change were reasonable too. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH HOW DISAPPOINTED I AM with Lee's Auto Clinic. I encountered car troubles in Chicago on my way to care for my ill mother living in the northeast, and after a google search, I discovered Lee's and decided to have my SUV worked on there. After an analysis of the vehicle, they said they needed to replace the alternator, battery, and the mass air flow sensor. They said this work would take a full day so I had to pay to stay overnight in Chicago and almost $2000 for these repairs. About TWO weeks after the repairs, my SUV would not start. I had to have it towed to a repair shop where they informed me that it needed a NEW mass air flow sensor. I told them I just replaced this part in Chicago, and they said from the looks of the nails and part, it didn't even look like it had been replaced! They also informed me that it was a "no name" part, as opposed to the Hitachi part they now put in for me. I was so upset by this that I contacted Lee's right away and the owner informed me that he was sorry that I was having car troubles and we could talk about it after the weekend. Monday rolled around and he never reached out to me until I reached out to him mid-day. He said I would have to ship him the old mass air flow sensor to POTENTIALLY refund me for the part. He never told me on Friday while I was at the repair shop to hold onto the mass air flow sensor to send BACK TO HIM. I'm a 32 year old woman so to say I feel taken advantage of is an understatement and for someone who sure liked to talk about how successful he was, to not refund me for a part that didn't work nearly two weeks after being installed is terrible customer service and also displays poor character. The part was $315.52 in Chicago and the install was $100. Two weeks later, the part was $301.68 and the install was $77.50. So altogether I spent $794.70 in a TWO WEEK SPAN on a mass air flow sensor! I would not recommend this auto shop to anyone. They don't care about their customers and you will end up paying more in the long run. This place is truly a ripoff especially when they hustle you in and hold vehicle for two or more days without contact. They like and indicate that they did but call isn't noted as being received. A friend recommended Moe and I couldn't be happier with my experience! As a women, car maintenance spots usually over charge you, or talk to you like a toddler. Moe took me through the services, to confirm what I wanted done, without talking down or taking advantage of me. Despite being short staffed, they were able to detail the body/rims/tires, and fix the damage to the body, within a week. I got 3+ quotes and they were the most reasonably priced for the repair AND detail. I would highly recommend this spot! I wish I took a before and after photo! I took my Mercedes 1989 SL560 to Lee's Auto Repair in for body work in December of 2021 and didn't get it back until August of 2022. I called them continuously about it, and they kept telling me that they were waiting for parts. The exterior door panels were rusting, and the front wind shield was cracked. I had continually serviced the cars mechanics to keep it running well. I offer to give them the final payment in cash because I felt that was the only way I would ever get my car back. Initially the cost of repair was to be $10k, and then they up charged me an additional $2k. When I got the car back it had the following problems (which didn't exist when they got it): 1) The driver side door won't lock inside or by key on the outside 2) The wind shield wipers don't work 3) The turn signals don't work 4) I don't have the same steering wheel that I had when I took it in to them 5) The car has under carriage problems causing it to rattle. I suggest that if you take your car to this establishment video the entire car before you leave it with them! Were my original parts harvested by them? I don't know! I only give one star because I don't think that you can submit a review with no stars! read more

I'm stating the obvious here but who doesn't think the world is about to end when their car dies out?? Ok, maybe it's just me. My car stalled for about three days and I ditched it for as long as I could. On the third day the damn thing still would not turn on and kept making that clicking sound when I turned the key. You know the sound..click, click, click. It's the worst sound to hear especially when you are on your way to work or a job interview for a better job, wink wink. Anyway, I called Lee's and they said they are open m-f from 7:30 am to 6 p.m. At this point it's already 4:50pm. My husband jump starts the car and I get into the car and just cross my fingers that the damn thing will make it to Jefferson and Roosevelt and it doesn't die out on Roosevelt and anger all the people trying to get home during Rush hour. I get to Lee's at about 5:05. I wait around a bit, looking confused. All the workers are busy fixing cars and finally Guy (that's his name) comes out of his office. I tell him what's wrong with my car, he looks at the battery, pulls out his battery checking machine and voila, it's the dead battery. Yes, I haven't changed the battery in about 5 years. Who knew. I thought it would be much more complicated, not to mention expensive. Guy is my new BFF. And a shout out to Ray P. because I consulted him before I decided to check this place out. I'm terrified of mechanics because the honest ones are hard to find. I STRONGLY recommend Lee's Foreign Car Service. Take it from someone who does not let go of her cash too easily. read more

Took the car to Lee's and dropped it off at 7:30 am on Wednesday, they did not text me with an estimate until 4:59 pm on Thursday. And they did not even send the actual estimate, they just said the estimate is ready, BUT they close at 5 pm so I couldn't get the estimate until Friday. Now they have had my car for three full days and had not answered my many phone calls trying to reach them to find out where they were at with the car. I understand if a business is busy but this should have been communicated when I initially dropped off the car on Wednesday morning OR when I initially called inquiring if they had time to take a look at my car. I get the estimate on Friday and it's significantly more expensive than a different estimate I received from a different shop. So we decide not to continue working with Lee's. They proceed to tell us we owe them $140 for doing an estimate for us because we are not proceeding with the repair. This was not a stipulation that was ever communicated to us when we initially called to inquire. This is not a fair business practice because I would not have brought my car there had I known this. Most places do free estimates and if you are going to have a policy that goes against most other shops, it needs to be mentioned before doing any business with a potential customer. This is deceptive. I am definitely not satisfied with them and wish they had been honest and upfront about their workload and fees. They also are very difficult to get ahold of and they should not text telling us an estimate is ready when they are closing. They should have called us to tell us what the estimate was. This is all very unfortunate because this place has good reviews. But just be careful anf ask many questions read more

I had hit a curb going a little bit too fast and my entire front end had to be re-aligned. I had to get the front upper and lower tie rods replaced and something else, along with the realignment. I rolled into Lee's, really just because it was close, basically in tears because of how bad my car was driving at this point, and they took my car in. It did take a couple days but I brought it in on a Monday morning at like 8am so it's understandable. I really appreciate them taking the time to work on my car and getting me back on the road. It was pricey but I was told by other people that that kind of service is going to cost a bit so that price made sense. read more

I had taken my Lexus RX 350 to Lee's for a check engine light, TPMS light, and VSC light. Realizing the car also needed an oil change, I asked them to change the oil. After explaining the warning light issue to Joe I was told they would check the car out and get back to me. A few hours later, Joe called and explained they had changed the oil and that I needed Brakes, Tie Rods, and a TPMS Sensor. I authorized work paid a total of 2K and picked the car up. After driving the car for 3 weeks and 220 miles, all of the LIGHTS came on the first time came on again. Once again I brought my car back to Joe. This time he called me and explained they checked it out again and I now needed to 2 TPMS monitors two coils and spark plugs. This time I'm being asked to spend an additional 1K for this work. You can imagine I was furious with the time and money spent with ee's up to this point During a heated exchange with Joe (no profanity no name-calling) Joe, hung up the phone when I asked to speak to the owner. I found his behavior reprehensible and rude. Though Benny intervened and apologized on behalf of Joe. It just wasn't enough. Dealing with these guys has been a nightmare. Kind service, but way overpriced with very slow car turnover. Expect to be without a car for a while. Judging from the other reviews, they don't stick to the timeframes they give you. They also do not mention or have on their website that they charge a hefty diagnostic fee ($150 - I'm sure they change the amount when they feel like it). You'll probably run when you get the quote, so the diagnostic fee pretty much covers the parking for having your car there for so long. read more
