Missing screws on ball bearing almsot killed myself had I not slowed down and pulled over immediately

I took my truck their to have a wheel bearing replaced these assholes purposely only put one screw back on knowing that I live down the street from them with the intentions of my truck messing up more and me having to take it back to them I called him and he acted like he had no idea what the problem was and told me to bring it back I went to another shop and they showed me what they did

I have an out-of-town trip coming and my air-conditioner in my 2106 Nissan Maxima started blowing hot air. Called one dealership and they quoted me $170 just to inspect it and they couldn't get me in until Thursday morning. Second dealership would take me right away, but $200 to inspect and $30 to charge the unit if that's all it needed (if there were no leaks). Pulled up at Sanchez Auto Service And they checked for leaks for free and charged the system for $80. I was in and out in 15 minutes. They stopped working on another car to take care of this for me. Really nice people, and phenomenal prices. Please send them as much business as you can, consumers need more places like this.

Happily driving the car back home.

I've been here a couple times this year for basic check engine issues on my 2006 Toyota RAV4. It's an Old School neighborhood auto repair shop in that there's nothing fancy about it and in a residential neighborhood with a coupe food mechanics to service your needs. So a couple days ago my car stalled in a parking lot in Bucktown, I called Sanchez first to see if I can get AAA to drive it over and they asked a few questions about the problem and then told me to bring it over. Turns out it was the Starter. Their pricing was really fair and they are always quick to get your car in and out on the same day and in this case I was able to get the car back in a couple hours. The guys here are honest with their assessment of the repairs and fair with their prices. I suggest you call first this way they know you're coming. I went once to get a slow leak fixed and it turns out they don't fix tires so he sent me over to another guy in the area and I got it taken care of. This is kind of my Go-to Mechanic now and I fell a sense security knowing I have a place to go when I need it because my car isn't getting any younger!

The difference in both pricing and customer service was remarkable. The dealership charged me $550 for an oil change, while Autohaus would have performed the same service for approximately $250. I also had my front and rear brakes replaced, along with an alignment, and saved well over $2,000 compared to the dealership's estimate. Gary and his team of highly skilled technicians did an outstanding job. Their expertise, honesty, attention to detail, and fair pricing are exactly what you hope to find when servicing a high-end foreign vehicle. The work was completed professionally, on time, and with excellent communication throughout the process. It is refreshing to find an independent shop that delivers dealership-quality service at a fraction of the cost. I trust Autohaus completely with my Porsche and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional service on European luxury vehicles. Five stars are not enough. Thank you, Gary and the entire Autohaus team, for a truly outstanding experience!

They're always responsive, quick to answer questions, and great at keeping me informed throughout the repair process. Most importantly, the quality of their work is consistently excellent. I trust them completely with my vehicle because they're thorough, honest, and clearly take pride in what they do. On top of that, their shop is spotless and well organized, which really reflects their professionalism and attention to detail. It's not easy to find a repair shop that checks all the boxes, but this one truly does. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality car service.

I can't say enough great things about Avondale Auto Repair, Nathan, Rick and their staff…read more As a first-time customer, I came in with what I thought was a simple issue--my 2017 Toyota RAV4 key fob suddenly stopped working. I'd replaced the battery before, so I tried that again... nothing. My (very mechanically inclined) husband tried too--still nothing. That kicked off the search for a replacement, and wow--what a frustrating experience. The dealership quoted me $600 to replace and program a new key. Automotive locksmiths were all over the place--$180, $250--and the whole process felt vague and transactional, like you couldn't get a straight answer without jumping through hoops. Then I found Avondale Auto Repair through the Costco Auto Program--and everything changed. Rick answered the phone, and within seconds I felt reassured. He was straightforward, knowledgeable, and refreshingly honest. Instead of trying to sell me something, he explained the pros and cons--how aftermarket keys often don't last, and how they source directly from the dealer but can usually save customers about $100. No pressure. Just real, helpful information. When I came in, that same feeling continued. The shop itself is clean, bright, and welcoming--nothing like the typical auto repair environment. Nathan (Rick's brother-in-law) was at the front desk and immediately made us feel comfortable. Friendly, genuine, and incredibly helpful. Before recommending anything, he opened up my key and inspected it to confirm it wasn't just a battery issue. That alone told me everything--I wasn't being upsold. They were actually trying to help. Then Rick came back from lunch and did the same thing again, just to double check. I paid a deposit and they said they'd call once they got the key from the dealership. It took a few days. Even though they were short-staffed they week of my FOB order, Nathan handled everything with professionalism and kindness. He called three different dealerships to track down my key (since it was out of stock everywhere), coordinated the order, and made the whole process seamless. When I came back to drop off my car, even the staff helping me park were warm and courteous--it's those small touches that really stand out. We used to have a go-to repair shop nearby, but after a change in ownership, it just hasn't been the same. Now, we've found our new place. Avondale Auto Repair didn't just fix a problem--they earned our trust. And that's everything. That's how you do it, Nathan and Rick!
