Words cannot express how happy I was to have found this place. I've had this lonely canvas rolled up for years that's followed me from house to house but never been hung. I felt bad. Finally I got my act together and started researching getting it framed because of course it wasn't a "standard" size. I called a gazillion places that made me think I should be in the framing biz because damn prices were steep. After reading so many great reviews of this place I called them up and told them what I wanted. They gave me a cost estimate and I was sold. Finally made it in and the framing was actually way cheaper than the original quote and the guys who work the counter really know their framing. They picked out the right colors, told me which type of frame, style, etc I should. Seriously, it is an art this world of framing! I went here back in January to get two movie posters framed - Clash of the Titans and Who Framed Roger Rabbit, if you must know - and they quoted me $35 each. That's a good HUNDRED less than any other place I went to, so I immediately said yes, and was not disappointed. Lesser price did not mean lesser quality, that's for certain. Unfortunately in a recent move one of the poster frames' glass broke, so I took it back in today to get it fixed. The price for a new plate of glass and reassembly? Fifteen bucks. Cannot go wrong with that. I also brought in a 30"x40" map that I wanted framed, it was a little pricier ($80) but still significantly less than anywhere else, and I was able to stray from the little black frame and get this nifty silvery color for the same price. I will undoubtedly come back here for all future framing needs! read more

This place deserves MORE than 5 stars with how reasonably priced and professional they are. You really cannot get better than $20 for framing posters. I had a Radiohead poster sitting in my room for years, and never framed it because it's a huge poster. I went to Michael's (in Orange County) and they estimated that it would cost $155 WITH a 50% discount. What a racket! I assumed that all framing cost this much, and that's just how things were. I assumed I'd never get my poster framed and have it be subjected to push pins and tape - with people thinking I was forever living in a college dorm. Then I discovered that Quick Art Frame has $20 deals on poster-sized prints and thought it was too good to be true. Wasn't framing all just a scam? They must trick you into paying a hundred more dollars that you initially intended to pay, right? Nope - it was actually just a hassle free, $20 transaction and I had an absolutely beautiful framed poster one week later. My roommates and I have now framed 5 pictures for our apartment all framed through Quick Art, and I intend to keep on framing here and nowhere else. I now no longer hesitate to buy posters thinking I can't frame them, and I happily turn my nose up at push pins. I still talk to people about how unbelievable a deal Quick Art Frame is. I've been coming here since 2004. They are professional, no nonsense, great customer service and reasonably priced. My beloved Felicity poster signed by JJ Abrams, my Lost poster signed by Mr. Lindeloff, and lesser known gems like Karen Sisci signed by Carla Gugino are just some of the gems I have trusted them with. Very happy with my first visit, I had two things framed. The first was a concert poster that I utilized their 19.99 flat rate framing option: frame, wire, glass inclusive. The frame is a very beautiful matte/brushed black with a nice bevel to it. Very clean job. The second frame I had actually brought to them. I had a piece of artwork (very fragile pastel) that had dirty mat board, fell out of position, and I accidentally broke the glass. They quoted me what I thought was a low price and did a perfect job: replaced all the mat board, bevel cut, new glass, and remounted the pastel art. I spent about 25% less than I anticipated, and they did a flawless job... the next time I need something, I'll definitely be back. read more

I have to give this place two thumbs up. I brought in an item to be framed last Wednesday around 5:30PM. I was having something framed and you couldn't beat the $20 price for the poster-framing. Metal frame with glass. After paying I was told it would be ready on Monday. Typically they are open on the weekends and it would have been ready sooner but they were closed on Saturday for fumigation and were only going to be open on Friday from 930-12. I really needed to pick this item up before Monday as it was a birthday present and my friend's bday was on Saturday. They "rushed" it at no extra charge and I was able to pick it up by Friday. I was very happy with the finished product. A+ on the customer service and finished product. Would absolutely use them again!! read more

I would never go to this place again. They screwed up 3 out of 4 of the items I was having framed in various ways over the course of several tries. The first time, they mixed up the order and framed two of the pieces with the wrong frames and mat entirely. They also messed up on the 3rd piece by bunching up the corner of the fabric that was being framed so that it didn't lay flat. They literally sent it back with a folded corner. How the hell someone could look at it and think that could EVER be acceptable is beyond me. I sent that back to be fixed but it left permanent glue marks on my fabric piece in that corner so now the piece will never look the same. I don't even trust them to fix this anymore because they are doing permanent damage to pieces I brought home from Africa. I sent items back a total of three times to be fixed and they still were not fixed to the standard that anyone with even a basic amount of care and attention to detail would deem acceptable. Not worth the money you might save by going here unless it's a piece you really don't care much about. read more

I bought a couple of poster prints from Amazon, for about 5 or 6 bucks each, and I had no clue as to how to actually these make suitable for putting them on the wall and knew nothing about framing. I searched the net, and found quickframe which wasn't that close to my place, but I was going to shop at the grove anyway. It's an amazing value, at 20 bucks a shot, the way they made two very quality-looking pictures, covered in glass, with a black frame around it. It transformed what I got from Amazon. And they placed hangers of course, in the back, in a very sturdy fashion.. very high quality workmanship. If you're concerned with parking, what you can do is, ...make an excuse to buy something at Trader joe's which is about 500 feet away, where their first hour of parking is free. So park in the TJ lot, pop into quickframes to buy your frames and then step into Trader's for your food ( Jo Jo cookies, mmm!, and those frozen stuffed mushrooms, ohgawd), get validated, and you leave. You do have to wait a week though to pick up, which I was fine with. read more

This place is Awesome! My new favorite place to get my framing done. The two people who helped me with my order were Cambria and Paulo. They were very friendly and answered all of my questions.. which I did have quite a few. I got 4 prints framed and they are hanging in my living room right now. The lines are clean and the prints are balanced perfectly. The images are in the same condition as when I dropped them off (no scratches, rips, or dings). The best part was that the framing was done ON TIME, which I have had problems with in the past with other companies. Where to even begin... It took me a few months (this happened in April) to finally write this review for many reasons- mostly because I needed the stress and anger to reside at the thought of remembering my experience at Quick Art Frame. I called a few places in regards to Gator Board Mounting of 18 digitally printed images at 11x17 that I had printed in SF. I explained with clear instructions the type of board, color, size and process I needed done. After calling around and reading reviews, I decided to try Quick Art Frame. Francisco- one of the workers, was helpful and after a few phone calls, an initial quote, great turn around time and good reviews- I took the images in for a 4 day job. After this, the problems began. I got a call the day before I was to pick up the final images and was told they misquoted the price by $200, which I understood- although their mistake for not fully understanding the specific gator board I requested to begin with- I was ok with it. (I'm a professional photographer and know the cost of materials, so it was no shock). After this call, I got another telling me they needed more time, so I allowed an extra day, as I was on a tight deadline. When I picked up the images, I met the owner Bob, who assured me the images came out great when mounted. I paid and waited until they were delivered from their warehouse- when I inspected the images, they were terrible! The edges were uneven, the images had scratches on them and THEY HAND CUT THEM!!! I showed the two workers and a their delivery man from the warehouse how bad the images were and pointed out around 8-10 bad ones- they called the owner and told him what happened. While he was on the phone, I showed the workers everything wrong with them and they agreed. The owner said to bring in extra copies (WHAT?!) and that they would be re-done. Excuse me? You ruin 18 ink jet 11x17 images on $80 paper and $100 ink and want ME to bring you a second set? You must be joking. The worst part was that the owner took NO initial initiative to call and apologize or let me know what we were going to do. As I was on a deadline, I kept calling until I finally lost it and he finally got back to me. The owner agreed to buy the specific paper I used and print them himself at their digital print lab. A week later I was supposed to pick them up- but like before, I got a call a day before saying they couldn't figure out the color calibration to match the colors on my original images printed. I drove there after work on a Friday (when I was supposed to pick them up!) and spent 3hrs there- until I gave up. I told the owner I wanted a refund for the mounting and to be reimbursed for my damaged images- and this is when all hell broke lose. The owner raised his voice and kept saying he was doing ME a favor by printing them and that I should be thankful- FOR WHAT?! I told him the images cost over $500 to print but that he could just call it an even $500 and I would take my business elsewhere. He refused to pay me and instead forced his way into every step of the way for me to find an alternate company to print them for me- did I mention every step of the way he kept telling me "there is no way they cost that much to print, I don't believe that, I own my own printing lab, etc"... yup those words came out of his mouth. Let's not mention the phone calls back and forth to try to get him to pay- which he always said "If you want to take me to court go ahead or you can do what I say." YUP. Most stressful experience EVER. In the end, I took my images to Sammy's Camera to have them re-printed- he contacted the digital technician to make sure I wasn't lying and eventually went in to pay the $500 for the re-prints (after a few reminder phone calls). The techs at Sammy's couldn't believe the terrible mounting Quick Frame had done and outsourced my mounting to a legit place who got the job done right. Did I mention Quick Frame had NEVER DONE FLUSH MOUNTING BEFORE? If a company has never done a certain job- they should probably tell you that from the beginning so you can avoid any problems and find a business that has experience in doing it! Also, the fact that the owner kept treating me as if I was some naive teenager irritated me. I don't know about you guys, but having a masters in your field pretty much gives you a lot of knowledge on how to do things correctly. It was the worst experience I've ever had with a framing company- and trust me- in SF all I used were the local small framing shops! When you're paying $450 for a mounting job, you expect good quality. I wasted my time, got a shitty mounting job (might I add, he said I was too "picky" UM HELLO THEY ARE PROF PRINTS!), disrespect, stress and yelled at. I wouldn't recommend them for any mounting or flush work. I wouldn't recommend them at all. read more

You will be tempted to go here because the price is very cheap, but just understand the risk, and know who you are dealing with. If you care about your poster, do not get it framed here. I had them frame two posters. They mounted both of them. In the first poster they trapped air bubbles between the poster and the material to which it was mounted. There are also some very obvious indentation marks, as if small rocks had been trapped between the poster and a heavy object, or possibly they had not handled it with care and it was bent. When the poster is on the wall, the imperfections become very obvious. They totally destroyed the other poster. It was a black and white poster from an art show, and they must have torn it in the process or something because they tried to use a Sharpie pen to retouch it. They did this in 3 separate areas. It's super obvious because the areas they colored are not supposed to be black, but dark gray. Also it's not the right hue as black Sharpies tend to have a slightly purple color cast. Finally, their using the Sharpie created a matte surface that did not match the poster finish, as a poster has more shine to it. It's very heart breaking as both of these posters were from one time events, were expensive to purchase and transport, and cannot be replaced. The part that really rubs me the wrong way is how dishonest the store workers are. No one informed me of what had happened, that they had damaged the posters that I entrusted them to handle properly. I didn't think to scrutinize the work when I was in their shop, because I was parked at a meter, and had many errands to run. Mostly though, it never occurred to me that someone would be doing business this way, so in retrospect, I wish I had just dropped another coin in the meter and really took the time to inspect. Again though, I'd really just prefer to do business with a store who doesn't force me into micromanaging their work. read more

After Quick Art Frame ruined my 150 year old Japanese Wood Block print by Hokusai - Why would I go back? Fool me once, shame on you - Fool me twice shame on me. I took it to a professional that deals entirely with art restoration. I had to pay quite a bit to get your so called archival tape off with minimal damage but the stains are permanent. Your so called archival tape turns out is simple double sided tape. You said it yourself you would use archival tape; well some pieces of art you can't use any tape at all. I was shown that there is a way to mount a piece of art with out glue and with out any tape at all. So maybe you don't know your job as well as you think you do. Furthermore I don't really care what galleries you deal with I only care about my print that you ruined. read more

I've never written a negative review for anything ever but this time I don't even know where to start. I had an art show on the east coast and needed 14 large prints framed for the show. I spoke to Bob Ko directly and in person and he assured me they would hang the prints with an archival tape in an archival manner which is very important for photography. Since the backs of the frames were sealed up when I received them I had no way of knowing what they had actually done. Well it didn't take very long to find out that the prints had not been hung with archival tape nor had they been hung using archival methods. All 14 prints buckled horribly in ways myself and the east coast framer I was forced to pay last minute to replace the prints (they were so badly destroyed the prints could not be salvaged or flattened) in the frames had never seen. It turned out, Quick Art Frame had adhered and taped each print all the way around which resulted in the the prints buckling and rippling, ruining the prints which forced me to replace the prints and to pay another framer on the east coast to swap out the destroyed prints for the new ones. This was a very EXPENSIVE crisis just days before my show opening. So I call Bob to tell him what happened and inquire about the non-archival methods and materials used on my supposedly archival job. He was flat out awful and aggressive. Defending what they had done and saying it wasn't his problem. Well, clearly it wasn't archival or even acceptable and he just didn't care. He said there was no way they would even refund the money I had paid them for the "archival" framing they did not provide even though it cost me thousands of dollars to repair the damage their framing caused between ordering new prints and paying the new framer on the east coast. The new framer couldn't believe how badly Quick Art Frame had treated my prints. What an expensive lesson!!! Avoid Quick Art Frame at all costs. They may seem cheap at first but they cut corners and have no regard for you or your work/ art pieces and DO NOT do right by their customers. In the long run, it will cost you 3 times more than if you just went with a reputable framer in the first place. At this point I have photos of the buckling and the manner in which they taped the prints as well as testimony from 2 other different framers about how badly this was done and why the buckling occurred due to Quick Art Frame's non-archival poor work. I have also saved one of the whole framed pieces as an example. I have never sued anyone in my life but it looks like I may have to just to recover some of my losses since Quick Art Frame and Bob Ko have no interest in fairly resolving problems with customers. I'm absolutely shocked! Though I've never written a negative review, I'd hate for someone else to go through what I have. It has been an incredibly stressful and monumentally expensive experience. You can look on the ground and see all the prints that are framed-wooden black frame seems to be the most popular.I don't think a week is really that quick though. This place is amazing!!! I have had a number of pieces framed here from memorabilia, street art prints to fine art. Every time the framing has been perfect. Francisco was such a great help in assisting me to choose a frame and matt look outside of the box and get creative. He made sure the my pieces were treated with care, especially when i was framing priceless memorabilia. They are very well priced and were able to get my framing done in a rush for Christmas. I went here after seeing all of the great yelp reviews. While the prices are pretty good, they have managed to get it wrong...TWICE. First I picked up my piece and discovered a scratch on the print, which they were able to fix. I went back to get it and waited around a bit to get noticed/acknowledged. When I finally got my print home and unwrapped it, only to see that the corner was busted with a big gap in between the wooden frame sections! This does not make me super confident about the investment I am making. I wanted to go back today and get it fixed, but it looks like they're closed on Sundays. I guess I'll just have to wait another week with naked walls. read more

First off, sorry for the long review, but these guys deserve more than just 5 stars. I was looking to frame my 6x4 foot print, nothing fancy, just something so I can easily display and move my print whenever I need to. Understandably, something this gigantic is going to be expensive. Looking around, it was going to cost around $700. I finally find a place online for around $250 but shipping was going to be almost $400. I somehow stumble onto Quick Art Frame online and the price comes out to about $150. Excited, I place the order. Considering how unbelievable the price is, I wasn't expecting super service or a really great product. In fact, I was crossing my fingers. I get a call a day or two later explaining that the site was suppose to charge me for shipping but for some reason glitched. To have it shipped would be another $75 or I could come in to pick it up. Luckily this place happens to be in SoCal, unfortunately its an hour and a half drive away in L.A. traffic. Ok I agree to make the drive, they say it should be ready in 4 days. I call 4 days later to tell them that I would come in the following day, they say it would be ready. I call the following a.m. to make sure it's ready, and they say that it would be delivered from their other store by 12 noon. So I make the hour and a half drive in horrible traffic, and get there at 1pm. The frame isn't even there yet and the employees tell me that it would be an hour before it arrives. Disappointed, but having no other choice, I wait around for an hour. I also decide to suppress my anger to give them a chance to see if they'll work something out later. The frame arrives and I could've just left the store with the frame as easily as that. An employee asks me if I happened to have the print with me and they would be willing to mount it. Luckily I had decided to bring it with me just in case. The owner or manager (i'm not sure) happened to be there with the delivery. He looks at the print, and does offer to frame it because he wants it to be done right. Unfortunately, they would have to take it to their other store and it would take a couple days. HOWEVER, he is willing to eat the shipping charge and personally have it delivered out of their area to my place when it is done. Wow, these guys could have easily just sent me out the door with the frame and their money made, BUT they wanted the frame and the print to look GOOD at their own expense! Floored by their dedication, I did not mind driving back in crazy traffic empty handed. Two days later, I receive my gigantic framed print and it looks great! I am still in awe with their service and thoughtfulness. Where else are you going to find competitive retail chain prices AND the service of a ma and pa business? I will always have these guys in mind for ANY future framing business and recommendations. In fact I cant wait to get a couple posters I've had lying around for years to get framed by them. Although the drive is totally worth it to work with these people, there's still that option of mailing my pieces in to them. read more
