You used to be able to pickup complete Sunday newspapers here. Not anymore! It's hit or miss. That's too bad.

They make good use of their limited space. Their walls are lined with different snacks and beverages, and the service at the counter is quick. I ordered a tuna sandwich with a few fixings and a bag of chips. The tuna, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles were all fresh and delicious! I don't make a habit of ordering tuna from places, because I am usually disappointed and I then have to question the freshness of the fish. This deli is a win, and I would absolutely recommend them.

He asked me what kind of bread do I want and I asked him what bread does everyone like here? He said, "I don't know," and picked up a garbage bag filled with rolls. I asked him if they are fresh and soft and he said, 'I don't know." I asked him what other bread they have here and he shows me 2 loafs of store packaged sliced bread. I asked him if they are fresh? He said, "I don't know." I picked the multi-grain. $7.50 for a 2 pieces of Multi-Grain Bread, 1/3 lb of Turkey, and some lettuce and onions. I asked for spicy deli mustard and when I got on the plane--if he put it on, I could not tell the sandwich was so dry--I looked for mustard on the bread--probably needed a microscope to find it. He tried to up-sell me tomatoes for 75 cents more--and I would have done it except when I asked him if the tomatoes taste good today--he shrugged his shoulder and said, "I don't know." (Keep in mind you can't see them make the sandwich--it hidden and you can't see any of the adds to see what they look like--I hate that.) He asked me if I wanted anything else on the sandwich and I asked him what else do you have for it that is good? He said, "I don't know." If you are asking me if I would come back here again? My response: "I don't know." Overall the sandwich was good, just dry--it's good turkey, but a poor value. The entire flight back to Los Angeles I was saying to myself: "David, you should have just went to Subway and got a sandwich for the plane."--That's what I usually do. I visit this area regularly, don't reside here--but really, there must have been a time this place was great--but it's not a place I would come back to--I just don't see the reason. I have been to many a deli in my time to compare--my hat is off to them that they can keep the lights on like this.

Thank you for a wonderful late lunch, early dinner before heading into Manhattan. The chicken tasted fresh and the lettuce was a nice deep green and I liked that it wasn't damp from washing (this can happen in other places). The tables each had hot sauce, ketchup and everything you may need on each table. The Christmas music was also really nice to listen to. The gentleman behind the counter was welcoming and friendly as soon as walked in. The coffee bar section was immaculate and very clean. I noticed decaf coffee, regular, French vanilla and a cappuccino machine. They also offer a refrigerated section with lots of options of soft drinks. It's an old school style deli but still has a couple small booths if you would like to sit in. The paint color was a pretty light blue and had a sign with a nice prayer to the Lord. I felt like I was somewhere by the shore and this was relaxing. Would be really cute in the morning for a breakfast. I can imagine that they get very busy. I was missing my pickle as I usually have a pickle that comes with my wraps. I also felt like the wraps were a bit small and didn't have a lot of chicken but felt satisfied with the ingredients. **A recommendation that I would have is to not spray the coffee counter with the cleaning chemicals as people are eating when it's not absolutely necessary. I really respect that it's clean but for those eating to have those fumes, especially with allergies can be disruptive. When I got in the car, my face was flushed a little red because I'm sensitive to the harsh chemicals.

We had quite an assortment of hearty items from their extensive menu. The Big Dudes ‍‍platter consisted of a hot #pastrami sandwich, a stuffed pastrami knish, Rueben eggrolls, potato chips and assorted pickles. It's a nice, clean shop with a friendly crew and great location on Springfield Avenue. This is your best Union County pastrami spot!

On Sunday 4/15/2026 I placed an online order via their own site at 3pm for a pickup time at 4:30 (for reference they close at 7pm) my card was charged over $50. I arrived at 4:22 to discover a poorly handwritten and placed sign on the door under the store hours (making it hard to read) saying they are closing at 4pm. I received a phone call that didn't display the business name and when you cross reference it doesn't show any association with the business from Chatham NJ (they are located in New Providence). They left no message so giving zero indication it was even from them, (technically I still didn't know if it was I'm just being charitable) and to make matters worse the call was made after the business was already closed for that day making it useless to me. I don't care for excuses they'll render under this comment if they ever see this to attempt to make themselves look better, I have all the proof and evidence like I said either theft of services maliciously or through incompetence, nevertheless stay away from them. I will never patronize them again and strongly urge anyone coming across this to do the same.
